Politics / Re: Tinubu Blasts Party Leaders Over Loss To PDP by Akanbee2015: 12:41am On Apr 10, 2015
isi4:
National leaders of All Progressives Party, APC, and former Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed disappointment over the loss of five House of Representatives seats to Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the March 28th, presidential and National Assembly elections.
Tinubu stated this at an emergency stakeholders meeting to review last election and strategize for the Saturday governorship and state house of assembly election, held at APC Lagos Secretariat, Ikeja.
Those in attendance at the meeting were: State Chairman of the party, Chief Henry Ajomale, Senator elects, Oluremi Tinubu, Gbenga Ashafa and Olamilekan Adeola, Demola Seriki, all state party leaders among others.
According to Tinubu, who reeled out some of the results across the local government areas in the state, “You, the party leaders have disappointed us. For the first time, we lost five House of Representatives seats to the opposition party, this is unacceptable, a huge disappointment.
Though in politics you win some you loose some You have failed. So there is no excuse to fail this time.
“Also you did not come out in large number, were you afraid.? You have no cause to be afraid as adequate security is on ground to protect you and your property. So don’t be intimidated by their sporadic shooting of guns meant to scare you away from doing your civic right. The Hausa communities had a very good and encouraging turn-out, we expect better performance this time.”
Tinubu who lambasted the leaders for failing to adequately mobilize the people, including party agents across the wards, charged them to redeem their in-action or be changed according to the slogan of the party.
He stressed that despite APC confidence to continue in the state, the party can not afford to miss it again in the next election as its too risky to leave Lagos in the hands of those without experience.

Jagaban, that happened while you were away. Now that you are back sir, make sure you leave no stones unturned. More people should be mobilized and motivated to vote en-masse for the APC in the state. This is never the time to get it wrong. Never! Ambode ni o! APC ni jare. We shall win massively.

As host governor, you can welcome the President-elect. You may use that opportunity to introduce your surrogate, but that's where it ends.

GMB has already been briefed about the monumental fraud & debt perpetuated by ur govt, and how u intend to use ur surrogate to cover up.

So he is visiting to encourage Akwa Ibomites to vote UOU come Saturday, after which ur case will be looked at.

Don't mind the fraud called Akpabio. All his loots will be uncovered and then he'll pay through his balls. I remember him leading his co-looters to go beg OBJ last December, so that the old dude won't expose their evil deeds. Godswill, your days are numbered bro.

Politics / Re: Mob Beat Up INEC Driver For ‘Diverting’ Election Materials by Akanbee2015: 11:26pm On Apr 09, 2015
lalasticlala:
A driver with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Delta State got mobbed on Thursday for trying to allegedly divert election materials.

The angry mob descended on the driver and gave him a savage beating in Asaba for allegedly diverting from the route taken by other drivers.

After loading election materials for Ethiope East and West from the Central Bank premises in the INEC pick-up van, the driver is said to have been stopped by the suspicious mob who also observed that he had no police escort.
The crowd thereafter descended on him when he could not provide any satisfactory explanations for his action.
It took the intervention of the police to save the driver form being lynched.

Politics / Re: The Igbos And The Quest For The Elusive Fantasy Island. by Akanbee2015: 8:59pm On Apr 09, 2015
PenSniper:
The current unholy alliance between Jimi Agbaje and the Igbos in Lagos is remeniscent of the famous Yoruba parable of "A O M'ERIN J'OBA". It was a story of the Elephant and the Tortoise. The name of the village is Fantasy. The villagers declared the Baale stool vacant for any interested person. Both the elephant and the tortoise were interested. But the race must start from a point far from the village centre. The tortoise realised he stood no chance against the elephant in a long distant race. He went to the elephant and convinced him that he had no rival and promised to lead the elephant in a triumphant parade to the village square. The elephant, usually all brawn but no brain, fell for it. Having secured the elephant's trust and confidence, the tortoise went and dug a big hole along the route and covered it with a red carpet. On the D day, the tortoise went to the elephant with a band blaring music. He bedecked the elephant with costume beffiting a potential king. The stupid elephant felt elated and commenced his fateful dance of death. He was informed that two red carpets had been laid out for him- one at the throne in the square and another along the route where only he must dance to display his dancing prowess to the people to further convince them of his unique qualification for the stool. Immediately he sighted booby-trapped red carpet, he started to gyrate to the delight of everybody until he crashed into the gaping hole, a double loser. JK, the politician, is the tortoise and the gullible Igbos the elephant. Either way, the elephant is bound to lose but even if JK wins, he will be just one person out of his entire cabinet, the entire state and the whole SW. The Yoruba would rather sacrifice JK than condone abomibation on their soil. Either way, it's the goons, the suckers, as the Americans would say, that will lose. This is the beginning of the end. A O M'ERIN J'OBA. . .ereku ewele.

Bros, this ur story is so massive and so on point too. I've heard it before but couldn't just liken it with that of Mr Just Kidding. Nice one bro..... Whoever wins, non of them is their son from yonder, so they should shut their dirty mouth up. As for Agbaje, abowaba l'oro ti e (his own case is a later thing). By God's Grace. Amen!

O well! I wish Lagos well embarassed

So, now it's all about the looks? This guy that's been working really hard since his early days? He started beautifully well when he was amongst the best 5 students during his times WAEC exams? And then he went through and became the accountant General at a relatively young age? I would only be worried by those with sugar coated speeches like Agbaje who has not done anything memorable to serve the people of Lagos, or our outgoing President who was so inexperienced in public offices. A+ is a guy that have served from the beginning of his life and is still serving. Please, who is sponsoring Agbaje if not GEJ, Bode George and Fayose all combined. He is a man of his own and has my vote and of those around me.

Wike never identified with Biafra or with Ndiigbo before now, if it were Akpabio that was making that statement, it would make sense and acceptable.

But Wike? An Ikwerre ethnic nationality champion, he is not Uche Okwukwu, I don't know what to make of this his statement.

I like him, but I don't think he should be roping Ojukwu and Biafra into this fight, he never stood for Ojukwu or Biafra before now, we know the Ikwerres who have always been sympathetic to Ndiigbo and Biafra.

Ndiigbo will probably stand with him in Rivers, my people don't like APC, but he should not use us as bullet proof, by bringing up the Ojukwu/Biafran sentiment.

Whatever is your reasons for not liking APC as Igbo people is your business. I actually confirmed that when you hatefully voted against Ngige of all people. That being said, Yesom Wike is ten times worse than Koro and Fayose joined together. Keep liking him for all I care. Very soon, he'll meet his waterloo.

AMBODE' belief in mentoring and passion for passing on leadership skills gave birth to La Roche Leadership Foundation, which he founded in 2012. This is a non-profit organization that has a mandate to develop the educational and leadership skills of young Nigerians, to inculcate in them leadership values as a way of grooming future leaders in all spheres of life. La Roche is presently spearheading an initiative, ‘The Flags Project’, to install Nigerian and Lagos State flags in all government owned schools in Lagos State. The Foundation has also donated tools to technical colleges to support training of artisans. #I HAVE DECIDED TO VOTE AMBO
