KEVIND: General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God, (RCCG) Pastor Enoch Adeboye has kicked against the proposed increase of VAT from 5 percent to 7.5 percent by the federal government. The proposal, he said, will further increase the burdens on Nigerians. Adeboye also said the proposed reintroduction of toll gates on federal government was insensitive. The plan, he said, shouldn’t be considered at a time most federal roads were in pitiable conditions. The federal government, as far as Adeboye is concerned, should refocus its plans and programmes toward initiatives that would lessen the suffering and burdens of Nigerians. He spoke last Sunday at the Special Independence Day Celebration of the church at its headquarters, RCCG, Throne of Grace, Ebute-Metta, Lagos. The programme tagged Arise attracted worshippers and traditional rulers led by the Alake and Paramount ruler of Egbaland, His royal highness, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo. He further pointed out the closure of borders to importation of rice was ill-conceived because it has made the stable unavailable to most Nigerians. Adeboye said as the country celebrates at 59, the federal government should henceforth focus on initiating policies that would lessen the sufferings and burdens of Nigerians. Such policies, he said, should have the capability to move the country out of doldrums, make her arise and pitch her tent with comity of nations. Speaking through the Assistant General Overseer, Administration and Personnel, Pastor Johnson Odesola, Adeboye emphasised a lot of policies of government are not helping Nigerians. He lamented many Nigerians were suffering when the wealth of their nation are just in few hands who have refused to let go. The respected preacher also criticised how banks are fixing interest rate, which he described as one of the highest in the world, saying the development was making business environment unfavourable for Nigerians. He bemoaned the condition of commoners, saying it was insensitive for the federal government to consider bringing back toll gates when the roads were in bad conditions. Oba Gbadebo appreciated God for the independence celebration, saying that God has helped us a lot as Nigeria has remained one the federation that has remain strong and indivisible since independence in 1960. He appealed to Nigeria leaders to consolidate on the success and achievements made so far in Nigeria by working for the interest of the people rather than their personal interest and gain. He restated that leaders in position of authority are put there by God and will one day give account of their stewardship to him.

MobilityExpress: And the government was sleeping bah, when bandits were collecting millions and millions and people were paying and paying and were being kidnapped day in day out, until the bandits were counting billions and have become multibillionaires in a short period of time. Later when Osinbajo flies to America, he will tell them kidnapping in Nigeria is exaggerated. See ehn, it's not a joke, I repeat, I strongly regret voting for Buhari APC in 2015. PDP was a disaster and some of us genuinely believed APC would bring positive changes but las las APC is another disaster like PDP, devil twins. I pray by 2023 majority of Nigerians will wise up and send both PDP and APC packing. We need new parties to take over. APC and PDP are 2 sides of the same evil coin. True Bro |
Politics › Re: PDP Says Presidency Under Buhari Now A Den Of Thieves by Akano5(m): 5:43pm On Oct 10, 2019 |
TonyeBarcanista: October 10, 2019
Press Statement
Presidency Under Buhari Now A Den of Thieves-PDP
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) says the arrest of yet another scammer linked with the Buhari Presidency further confirms that the Presidency under President Muhammadu Buhari has become a den of thieves.
The party says that the shocking fact that the scammer, Abdulrauf Illyasu, even enjoys an office accommodation within the safety and cover of the Presidential villa, from where he carries out his fraudulent assignments, is a hard evidence that the Buhari Presidency breeds and facilitates swindlers, charlatans and treasury looters.
The PDP however notes that nothing is impossible for a Presidency replete with persons who thrive in lies, false claims, certificate forgery, bribery, intimidation and recruiting of fraudulent and corrupt persons as ministers, special advisers and clandestine fronts for financial sleazes.
Our party holds that it is the height of deceit and duplicity that an administration that boasts of integrity and zero tolerance for corruption could be the very sanctuary of the underworld.
Only last week, a known confidant of Mr. President, Nasir Danu, was arrested at Heathrow Airport, United Kingdom for alleged international passport scam and money laundering while allegedly ferrying stolen currencies for persons said to be close to the Presidency.
This is in addition to further allegations that Danu has been fronting for a close relation of the President for shady oil deals and huge contracts running into billions of naira in major revenue earning agencies.
The PDP invites Nigerians to note how the Abdulrauf Illyasu and Danu matters remind of the case of the former aide to the First Lady, Mr. Baba-Inna, who was earlier arrested over accusations of receiving billions of naira from politicians and businessmen on behalf of the First Lady.
The party also urged Nigerians to recall the confession of one Amina Mohammed, who while being paraded by the Department of State Services (DSS) in 2018, stated in public that persons close to President Buhari were involved in serial fraud and looting of public resources under the cover of the some elements in the Presidency.
The PDP notes as shameful, how the public space has been saturated with allegations of how individuals and cabal connected to the Buhari Presidency have been hounding government agencies as well as major domestic and international business concerns for kickbacks while strangulating those who refuse to accede to their demands.
Today, it is no longer news that the Buhari Presidency holds the medal as the most corrupt administration in the history of our nation, which had also mastered the act of concealment with propaganda and deceit.
The PDP reminds Nigerians that the Buhari Presidency has not yet provided answers as to why it has not investigated and prosecuted persons involved in the N9 trillion sleazy oil contract as detailed in the leaked NNPC memo.
The Presidency has also not informed the nation why it has not investigated and prosecuted persons involved in the alleged stealing of over N1.1 trillion worth of crude oil using 18 unregistered vessels since 2017.
Such inaction in the face of huge sleazes points to nothing but complicity in very high places and Nigerians now know the links as well as those to hold responsible.
Signed:
Kola Ologbondiyan National Publicity Secretary This loot will still be alive Until when Nigerians realise that they should stop voting for the 2 main party "APC" "PDP" they are F9. They are not helping this country to progress. A word is enough for the wise |
