Good news to all DE direct student... This is to inform all prospective students who applied for DE that the institution will paste 2nd batch for DE applicants. I was mailed this afternoon by the school so if u applied for DE and u've not been admitted kindly check ur mail and follow the step as stated in the mail.
Yeah sign of fresh air indeed to my co applicants. As touching the clearance of a thing, everything is set and good to go. Already filled and printed my bio data as stated on their requirement to bring along on clearance day just that the HOD signature is needed which it would be done on the clearance day proper. I think everything is set for our quest to begin @ UI. Success y'all

just printed my BIO DATA it was written boldly on it that it is 2010/2011 Admissions Bio data Form Update. i think it is a probs from their system because it ought to 2012/2013... Greatest Uites

You can't change ur dept in UI after spending 2 semseters in a course. Once u resume u can make more enquiry cos I once read on it the institution student handbook

The ball is actually in UI's court so they can play anytime they want. To you there are slow but to them they are very much on course cos the deadline for admission into all tertiary institution by JAMB is Oct 31st so they still have the whole time in d world to do their homework. Just relief yourself of the anxiety and let patience comes in. All this are delibrate using it to groom urs for the tasks ahead

From what I've been able to deduce, yesterday was actually a public holiday indicating that no one will be @ the ICT center to upload the names... Maybe UI never took took into cognisance the attachments of October 1st before jumping into conclusion of releasing it that same day. Ceteris Paribus it shall be pasted today

@jossy i think no admission status for DE applicants cos in my dept elect/elect only 5 students were admitted and they are all on distinctions. I and couple of guys wif distinctions have checked their status and it's still no admission yet. If u check the jamb website there is no link for DE applicants to check their status and moreover the reg no given to all DE applicants is quite different. It all started with 29 followed by the remaining digits. Ama chill chill cos my name was number 2 on d list but there were minor hiccups thats why I dont wanna guarantee myself yet of admission until it's pasted on their site

Guys chill... Stop compounding probs for ur self. UI can't hide d list from us. If u've seen urs on jamb website well goodluck but u've not just wait. Patience is very essential. I should be the most tensed person here cos of my DE stuff having issues den but u guys need to see me here laughing all day, playing around just to ease the tension. Like I came in and met about 15 people currently viewing the thread and am lyk Geej!!! It shows how people are desperate for UI to talk 2day. If 'am right tho the list was actually computed yesterday now on the C: drive waiting for upload on the institution website. It's kinda few tho just about 250+ if i may guess including the DE students and i bet those set of people went through the survival of fitest test. Less panic and more of hope cos it's already a done deal for the institution.
July 27th then was actually emotional. Came in and I saw my co aspirants dancing in their heart, typing prayers, doing testimonies while some are bitter inside weeping and praying to the God they believe. Without waiting any longer here comes the 2nd batch signed sealed and stamped to determine some people fate.
Like I was wondering if am only opportuned to be a day God and perfect admission for my co nairalanders into the prestigious university in the land but that was actually building castles in the air but it's all good lolz.
Once again it has been fun meeting nice set of people here coming together to form that one big family...
Happy Independence Nigeria and i pray Nigeria 52 years birthday will usher us to that greatest height and define various admission testimony before 12:00am.

Independence simply means freedom... Come Oct 1st our colleagues here would be liberated from their fear, anxiety and tensed prayers. It certainly would mark the beginning of the several hurdles to cross. In less than 80hours it would be settled and our clearance comes in next. Several stories to delibrate upon here. The latest on campus is that the institution bans cooking in hostels so students are restricted to eating from the canteens within each hall of residence be it Melamby, Tedder, Sultan Bello, Queen Elizabeth etc. This motion was suggested so as to increase the school Internal Generated Revenue (IGR) cos the canteens would be rund by the school authority and this will reduce every possible doubt of hike on school fee and other expenses cos the school will make some cash from the canteens to sustain her maintenance. This kept me wondering if I would stay on campus or outside cos it was stated that a meal will now go for about ₦100-150 depending on wat u ordered.
Hope u guys still remember that a customized email address will be given to each student of the institution @uni.edu.ng e.g akby@uni.edu.ng quite different from the yahoo's and co like akby@yahoo.com
In a nutshell UI is simply the best school in Nigeria having over 350 profs, quality structures and what have you. We all get to see on the matriculation day peeps.
