A wife asked her husband to drop her off at a friends house, where a wedding reception was taking place. He responded that he would be too busy throughout the day in the office, and gave her some money to use as taxi for transport. He left for the office. The wife took a Taxi to the wedding reception, there she met a fine Girl and they got talking to each other. Soon they became friends. In the evening when everyone was leaving, the Girl asked the Woman how she was going home. She replied that her husband was too busy in the office to pick her up so she would use a taxi. The Girl responded; "My boyfriend brought me here and would be coming to pick me up. I just spoke to him on the phone and he's on his way. Why don't you join me in his car and we would drop you at your house"The woman agreed. A few minutes later, her husband's car arrived. The Girl jumped into the front passengers seat of the car and asked the Woman to sit at the backseat, which she did confused and perturbed. Then the Girl introduced her new friend to her boyfriend. When the man turned around to greet the woman, he recognized her as his wife. Nothing much was said along the way.He dropped the wife at home first as planned and proceeded to drop the Girl at her house. The question now is: If you were the wife, what would you do when your husband returns home? If you were the husband, what would you say to your wife when you return home. more at http://www.akelicious.com/2016/09/if-these-happen-what-will-you-do.html?m=1

Yesterday we featured a story of a lady who bit off the manhood of a man, her workplace superior who tried to rape her. Following on the heels, a Ghanaian lawyer, Maurice Ampaw has urged women in the country to bite off the manhood of rapists. Speaking in an interview on Peace News Bulletin at Midday, Lawyer Ampaw advised ladies not to think twice about biting off the "testicles and penis" to serve as a deterrent to potential rapists.A 24-year old woman bit off the manhood of a Techiman Municipal Fire Commander for attempting to rape her in her room. The victim narrated her ordeal, saying she works with the alleged rapist named Eric Ansah Andor at the Techiman Fire Service at Techiman in the Brong Ahafo Region. She was at home when Mr. Ansah pounced on her and attempted to rape, she added; but she managed to mutilate his manhood before he could carry on with his intended activity. If you missed it, click here Commenting on the incident, Lawyer Ampaw congratulated the victim for displaying her heroic abilities and managing to teach Mr. Ansah a lifetime lesson.According to him, the lady will be exonerated even if she's arraigned before court. Her defence to the court will be that she acted in self-defence when the rapist was "under extreme provocation, meaning what the commander was doing was discomfiting her. So, what came to her mind as a form of self-defence was to bite off his manhood. It’s correct lawfully. It’s good. The men who have been raping ladies should have their penis bitten off. And if you’re a boss and start to handle ladies’ breast, you should be beaten. It’s a major deterrent. What the lady did is very lawful because rape is bitter. Rape is very bitter." Lawyer Ampaw spurred the women on Read full details at http://www.akelicious.com/2016/09/dont-hesitate-to-bite-off-any-rapists.html?m=1

A 25-year-old woman diagnosed with a terminal brain tumor in January 2015 died Friday, one day before her wedding, People reports. A month after being given three years to live, Swabey joined Tinder, where she met Andy Bell. She told Marie Claire she disclosed she was going to die to Bell up front, knowing that it meant she was doomed to "break his heart." She figured that would be the end of it; it wasn't. They fell for each other, and Bell stayed by Swabey's side through 12 rounds of chemo, according to Us Weekly. They even managed to have a normal relationship. "We still bicker over whose turn it is to wash the dishes," Swabey told Marie Claire. "We just make up quickly."After 10 months of dating, Bell proposed to Swabey last December. "I cried and asked if he was sure—if we went ahead, he’d be a widower before he was 30," she said. "He said that he’d rather be married to me for a few years than not at all." They scheduled their wedding for Sept. 17, and Bell said he couldn't wait to introduce Swabey as his wife. He never got that chance. Swabey died peacefully early Friday. "Amongst our sadness, we are so proud of her courage, her spirit and the determination she showed throughout her illness," Swabey's family posted to Facebook. Before her death, Swabey chronicled her battle with cancer on her blog and helped raise nearly $100,000 for brain tumor research. (Real-time video reveals how tumors form.) Six states -- Tennessee, Virginia, Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama and North Carolina -- are facing possible gas shortages after a pipeline spill, officials said. The states have all declared states of emergency, citing concerns about "fuel supply disruptions" and "disruptions of gasoline" in the wake of the Colonial Pipeline spill. The governor of North Carolina declared the state of emergency to "help ensure that there will be adequate supplies of fuel across the state and prevent excessive fuel pricing.Prices on futures contracts for wholesale gasoline rose about 2 percent Friday to $1.46 a gallon after rising 5 percent on Thursday.Long lines have quickly amassed at gas stations in the six states, and social media users took to their accounts to document the chaos and dwindling gasoline supply, in some cases. Below, images from Tennessee. On Sept. 9, gasoline was discharged from an underground 36-inch pipeline near Birmingham, Ala. and leaked into a nearby pond. The pipeline was shut down after the discovery of the leak.Approximately 230,000 of gasoline and water have been recovered as of Friday afternoon, but the presence of explosive vapors is making the cleanup difficult."Recovery efforts are continuing 24 hours a day focusing on remediation of contamination and restoration of pipeline services," the EPA said in a statement.Colonial Pipeline said Friday it doesn't expect to fully reopen its primary gasoline pipeline until next Read full details at http://www.akelicious.com/2016/09/6-states-facing-possible-gas-shortages.html?m=1

Jose Mourinho can say what he likes about the decision that never came in the build up to Watford's first goal but nothing that comes out of his mouth should detract from the fact that his team were well-beaten at Vicarage Road. The Miguel Britos challenge on Anthony Martial was robust - and the Frenchman was still feeling the effects of a head injury moments before - but it was by no means an obvious foul. Michael Oliver - the referee - was well within his rights to wave play on and permit the goal from Etienne Capoue to stand. From there, United played with a persecution complex. Mourinho - as well as his assistant Rui Faria - collared the fourth official Stuart Atwell and persistently made him aware of their feelings regarding the decision to award the goal. On the field, Mourinho's players bristled. There was more bite in their challenges - a petulant defiance - as if they were daring the referee to whistle against them. There was a gap in the standard between the teams - Walter Mazzarri again facing his old foe Mourinho - but it was the hosts and not the 20-time English champions who looked more assured about what they were doing. They seemlessly flitted between shapes and formations - always aware of what needed to be done - while United's number could not add any sort of extra dimension to their play. Paul Pogba was loosened up slightly - playing to the left of a midfield three with Marouane Fellaini at the base - and although he hit the crossbar with a good first-half effort he is still giving performances far beneath those expected from an £89m player. Wayne Rooney - meanwhile - is not repaying the manager's faith. He was afforded midweek off in preparation for his tie but again could not stand the pace. He has played decently in the Premier League this season - despite the negative attention on his displays - but here he was bad.He gave the ball away, ran it out of play and had to be vocally encouraged on more than one occasion by his manager to engage in the press. Rooney is a player of the highest class but coasting cannot be tolerated - particularly at a team which is under-performing collectively. He roared at his colleagues after the first goal but he was doing so when he himself was playing as badly as anyone else.Mourinho can only point to Marcus Rashford as a bright spot - the boy wonder whom he asked to prove himself all over again. After becoming the story of United's season last term, he was shunted back to the bench this time around with Mourinho making him strain at the leash before letting him loose against Hull City. Here he started - and scored a goal which Read full details at http://www.akelicious.com/2016/09/jose-mourinhowe-loss-because-of.html?m=1

From the conventional point of view, prison is a restrictive place of long-term confinement for those convicted of serious crimes. Prison yards are meant for rogues, terrorists, coup plotters, killers, looters of treasuries etc. While criminals are detained, the prison too serves as a correctional facility to further prune them into better individuals ahead of their release (if they are not serving a life-in-jail sentence). In Nigerian system, reverse is the case, it is where the government keeps the innocent in custody while criminals walk around freely. Evidently, Buhari recently freed Kabiru Sokoto, who masterminded the Christmas day bombing at St Theresa Catholic Chrurch Madalla in 2011 and has against two court orders, detained Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People Of Biafra, IPOB.Moreso, after the Attorney General’s order to release all Biafran activists detained by the Nigerian government, hundreds of Biafrans are still in Nigerian prisons without court conviction and on the basis on self determination. Nigeria has blatantly shown to be a lawless entity and has been enjoying a significant level of immunity from the United Nations, Britain and the United States Government under the leadership of President Barrack Obama.Muhammadu Buhari has vividly demonstrated beyond every reasonable doubt, that he is a terrorist: releasing Kabiru Sokoto (a terrorist serving a life jail sentence), releasing several other suspected Boko Haram detainees. His undisguised support of radical Islam and attempt to dialogue with Boko Haram are all proofs to vindicate this claim.Buhari has on countless occasions, abused the mantle bestowed upon him as the president of Nigeria on the grounds of immunity, he has dragged Nigerian judiciary to the mud and has validated David Cameron’s description of Nigeria as a ‘’fantastically corrupt country.’’I am yet to fathom the reason behind the release of murderous jihadist Kabiru… What gave Buhari such effrontery to release him? Could it be because he has continued to enjoy an unholy immunity from the Western powers after the war crimes he committed 1967-1970? Is he trying to say that Kabiru Sokoto was not guilty of those crimes he was convicted of?Why is Nigeria unreasonably silent about this? Does it mean terrorists and killers are justified to continue killing? Is Buhari planning to carry out another genocide on Biafra land using Kabiru? Is Buhari planning to send Kabiru after Nnamdi Kanu on the day of his court hearing being 26 September 2016? No wonder Nnamdi Kanu calls Nigeria a "zoo". A place where evil superceeds good. Biafrans are keenly watching and we are about to find out Buhari’s next line of action and what he plans to do with Kabiru. It is on record that Buhari emphatically affirmed that he cannot release Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of IPOB during his presidential media chat. Buhari said he will kill Biafrans again; this he has started already by abducting Biafrans with his dogs, the DSS. They abduct secretly, kill and secretly dispose the bodies of the victims. They also incarcerate unjustly as reported by Amnesty International. Buahri sends killers in disguise of herdsmen, he sends his troops to kill peaceful protesters and has attempted to assassinate Nnamdi Kanu on several occasions in Kuje prison. With the help of Boko Haram menace, Buhari frustrated Goodluck Jonathan’s tenure in office and Read full details at http://www.akelicious.com/2016/09/reason-why-ipob-calls-nigeria-zoo.html?m=1

The need to sanitise the industry is not only important but totally necessary as new owners and some existing brands downplay the pride, integrity and perception of a beauty queen or queens directly or indirectly. History of pageantry in Nigeria dates back to over 50 years ago when commitment, passion, discipline, determination and hardwork are the bedrock of any pageant owner or beauty queens vision Read below carefully; • Some pageant organisers do not know the core value of a crown as such can no impact on the winners •Some pageant Organisers venture into pageantry for gains and business neglecting the fundamental essence of the contest. •Some pageant directors flag-Off pageants without considering getting the prizes or potential leadway to the winners entitlements or attract credible sponsor for that. •Some Beauty Queens dwell more on the prizes to be won at the contest, without considering the one year long activities that can fetch more money. •Most Beauty Queens only end up visiting Orphanage homes, Taking Photoshoots and hosting birthday parties in a whole year. •Several Beauty Queens Do not put up decent disposition in Clubs even with crowns on their head, they allow People to "rock" or touch them while dancing. •Some Pageant Organisers have no business in the industry as they are only comfortable having ladies around them ( Winners) instead of using them as instrument to influence a generation positively. •Few Selected pageants consider the integrity of their brands while others rubbish the pride of their pageant brands unconsciously or unprofessionally. •Its shocking that anybody can be placed as a judge irrespective of the person's background or antecedents, in some pageants. •Every girl or model wants to end up been a beauty queen, and desperate organisers make it work for them even when they are empty and lack content. •70% of our contemporary beauty queens can not stand or address a crowd confidently or interact with the broadcast media except social media posts. •Most Beauty Queens consider winning as a show off paparazi so as to enrich their instagram pages and facebook photos with sash and crown •Some beauty queens fail to understand that a crown is an endorsement for fame and impressive opportunities if used well rather they wait to change overnight. •A beauty Queen can end up being a prey to men's sexual satisfaction if she has nothing to offer intellectually or poorly packaged project executions • Some Beauty Queens believe all courtesy visits should attract money for them, forgetting that their content alone can make it possible. •Men in General judge from appearance instead of reality as such only your charisma or personality as a beauty can change such impression. • Some models dabble into pageantry as a way of getting to any man of their choice for immediate gains regardless of her worth. • Some pageants end up recycling contestants, even crowning a contestant that was practically disqualified in one audition for poor presentations and appearance. •Big Brands like Telecommunications, banks, Ministries etc are wary of pageants because of the some negative perceptions also caused by the players Read full at http://www.akelicious.com/2016/09/reasons-why-some-beauty-queens-are-less.html?m=1

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) said on Monday that it would commence a warning strike on Oct. 2.A statement signed by Mr Ben Ugheoke, the Chairman, University of Abuja chapter of ASUU, stated that the Federal Government had failed to embark on meaningful dialogue with the union. We have tried to dialogue with the Federal Government but they have been playing games with us; we will start with a warning strike to show them we are not jokers.ASUU has being trying to get the attention of the Federal Government to intervene in the academic system of universities across Nigeria but it has all been abortive.Consequently, ASUU will give a warning strike which will start on Oct. 2nd.strike will last for one week, and if they do not give us listening ears, we will start the indefinite strike in November,’’Ugheoke said in the statement. The ASUU, had at a recent news briefing accused the Federal Government of reneging on the 2009 agreement with the union.ASUU’s Coordinator, Abuja Zone, Dr Theophilus Lagi, also said in the statement that the government had only implemented 30 per cent of the provisions of Universities Needs Assessment document. He said that the fund was disbursed indiscriminately to university councils as a fall out of the six months industrial action the union embarked upon in 2009.Lagi urged the Federal Government to fully implement the 2009 agreement it reached with the union in order to avert another industrial action by the nation’s public universities. The struggle to implement the 2009 ASUU/FGN agreement is not about the union; it is not about the personal benefits of the members only. The current issues in contention include funding of universities for revitalisation in line with the Memorandum of Understanding the Federal Government and ASUU had signed in 2013.Re-negotiation of the FGN/ASUU 2009 agreement ASUU believes will reposition the entire education sector. We also demand the facilitation of the read full details at http://www.akelicious.com/2016/09/ASUU-to-start-warning-strike-on-october.html?m=1

In two separate incidents, two persons were yesterday night killed during the Sallah celebration around Lagos. While one of the deceased persons was killed after a drinking spree at the Orile Iganmu area of Lagos, the other person was killed by a hit-and-run driver at the Ikeja area of the state. The drinking incident was said to have involved the deceased person, who was simply identified as Onyibo, who had engaged in a drinking spree with some of his friends on Adeyeye Street to celebrate the Eid-el-Kabir at Orile. While drinking, he was said to have collapsed and his colleagues, who were afraid of the consequences, were said to have dumped him at a workshop around the area and took to their heels.According to the police, the deceased was said to have vomited blood while battling with his life before he finally gave up the ghost. After the case was reported to the Orile Police Station, attempts were made to reach his family members but till press time proved abortive.Speaking on the condition of anonymity, a senior police officer in the station said: “One Asimiu reported that a man popularly known as Onyibo was found dead in his shop at Alafia bus stop.Onyibo and his friends, mostly touts and street urchins were seen drinking heavily during the day. They were competing on who would finish some bottles of some locally brewed spirit popularly called ‘Sepe’.From what we gathered, It was during the drinking spree that Onyibo collapsed. His friends who tried to revive him immediately took him away. When they were unable to bring him back to live, they quickly abandoned him in a workshop and fled for fear of possible arrest by the police.According to what we gathered, Onyibo is popular in the area, but no one knows where he came from. The Minister of Science and Technology, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu, has said that only science and technology-based agricultural practise would add value to the nation’s economic development. The minister emphasised that President Muhammadu Buhari fully appreciates the fact that sustainable development through modern agricultural methods was the current trend globally, hence the administration’s commitment to diversifying the economy through science and technology. Onu stated this when he played host to a delegation of the reigning Queen of Aso Nigeria (Tourism), Miss Linda Ifesinachi, who briefed him on her upcoming pet project, an agriculture and empowerment summit aimed at developing agriculture through science and technology. According to the minister, science and technology would be deployed to improve food security, provide high-yield, disease-resistant seedlings, pest control and mechanisation. “If we don’t mechanise the process of faming, we can never get young people to farm because I cannot see any young person who will go and use the machete that our great-grandfathers used,” he said. The beauty queen, in her remarks, explained that the summit was targeted at women and the vulnerable and she needs the support and collaboration of the ministry of science and technology. The Cross River State government has appealed to the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to assist it in tackling a destructive pest called leaf miners that recently attacked cocoa farms in the state. Though the attack, the first of its kind in the state, has been contained, the Commissioner for Agriculture and Natural Resources, Prof. Egrinya Eneji, told Daily Sun in Abuja that the magnitude of devastation of cocoa plantations was too much for the state to bear. Eneji, who disclosed that he quickly alerted the ministry when the incident occurred, said efforts were underway to select crop species that are resistant to army worm, adding that the state also solicited the ministry’s help in containing the pest ravaging maize farms. The commissioner said that cocoa from the state has been rated the best in the country for years because the state government, in collaboration with the Nigerian Investment Promotion Counci, has, over the years, organised training for farmers in the use of chemicals every November. On the recent ban of Nigerian agro exports by the European Union, he warned against indiscriminate use of pesticides in farming, especially cocoa, as they read full details at http://www.akelicious.com/2016/09/agriculture-must-be-science-technology.html?m=1

Why is it now that we have a President Muhammadu Buhari that is committed to good governance and accountability that we are confronted with paucity of cash? Why has the price of oil chosen this momentous time to plummet to this level? Even if the new government achieves complete diversification of the economy, will it fructify overnight, in one, two or three years? Why should it be at this time that we have a highly conscientious and honest central government that we should have this kind of financial situation as a country? So we need prayers in this country. The above extract is from my piece, “Lagos-Ibadan Expressway: The Amosun Intervention”, published in the papers in November, 2015.In an earlier article titled, “Buhari and Federal roads”, published in July, 2015, I observed that “It would seem an understatement for President Muhammadu Buhari to speak of inheriting an empty treasury. I think we should thank God that the President even met a treasury at all. With the monetary bonanza, bazaar and lottery that characterized the electioneering of the ruling party in the last general elections, we should be grateful to the almighty that both the purse and its contents had not disappeared altogether. As at the time of that publication in July, 2015, no one knew the magnitude of corruption of the previous government actually attained the unimaginable proportion of its officials sitting at a round table to share among themselves monies meant for all Nigerians. By then revelations about the arms scandal were yet to come to the fore.I used to observe during the locust years that while the previous governments at least pretended to fight corruption, the Jonathan administration openly embraced it, in fact, with both hands! That damning assessment was based on what Read ful details at http://www.akelicious.com/2016/09/the-best-solution-for-nigeria-problems.html?m=1

The Citizens maintained their perfect start to the season as first-half goals from Kevin De Bruyne and Kelechi Iheanacho put Jose Mourinho's Red Devils to the sword at Old Trafford.Manchester City laid down an early marker as first-half goals from Kevin De Bruyne and Kelechi Iheanacho handed them a 2-1 win over Manchester United in a pulsating Manchester derby on Saturday. The Citizens bossed the opened period for long spells and raced into a deserved 2-0 lead thanks to strikes from De Bruyne and Iheanacho.Claudio Bravo had a moment to forget on his debut as he failed to collect a cross which led to Zlatan Ibrahimovic pulling one back for Jose Mourinho's United before the half-time break.United thought they were level when Marcus Rashford's strike deflected in off Ibrahimovic, only for the effort to be chalked off as the Swede was stood in an offside position, before De Bruyne struck the post moments later at the other end.
