Otunba I hail o! We are not happy with the fact that you are discouraging live bets. How can one bet on a live basketball or handball match if you say one can only place a bet on 3 outcome bet?

Haba. That was just a technical glitch that did not last long. Once we heard the complaints, we fixed it and apologized.

I'm so sorry about that pal.

Nairaland's business section is kinda depressing for me, when i come here i see threads like premier lotto numbers, nairabet predictions, mini importation and so on depresses me. We are in the 2015 going 2016 and there is no thread for start ups that could possibly become the Nigerian Uber, the next nairaland, the next dealdey, and so on. We really have to open our minds and dream bigger.

On that note, i want this to be the official start up thread for those like minded individuals who believe they could change the status quo.

Dear already and aspiring founders/co-founders and ceos lets communicate grin

The best way to tackle this is by starting such threads yourself.

Pools betting has been existing for decades. Then came some sports betting companies operating retail in some parts of the country.

NairaBET the first to come out with a sports betting website.

@ the bolded, nairabet is not the first and oldest. Akin Alabi as an Internet Marketing Guru made nairabet and sportsbetting very popular in nigeria.

We are definitely the first my brother. Can you share any sports betting website that existed before NairaBET?

Thanks

If only you know that I've never argued with anyone as much as half of what I've done with coogar

Go and ask ppl here. They've created threads for us specially in the past.

A poster the owner of nairabet even placed monetary rewards as incentive on who would win between us to analyze champions league matches.

Coogar has earned his stripes here like no one has

You and Coogar are the maddest people I've ever met online and I doff my hat for both of you. It does not matter that your German and English leanings becloud your analysis sometimes but your consistency and staying power is astonishing.

As a founder of a sports betting business, let me say this. . . AGAIN.

Betting on sports is for entertainment and it is not a business opportunity. I know I will lose customers for saying this but I will prefer to say the truth rather than lead someone on.

IT IS NOT A BUSINESS.

See it this way. . .

Mr A has N1,000 and he goes to watch a movie

Mr B has N1,000 and he goes to have a beer

Mr C has N1,000 and he decides to go to NairaBET. If he wins, its a bonus. If he doesnt, the adventure and maybe the adrenaline is the entertainment that cost him N1,000

At the end of the day, none of the three guys went back home with anything.

Don't bet trying to get rich. Chances are that you WILL NOT. A few have struck gold but its all luck.

Bet for fun. . .

Play with only what you can afford to "dash" someone. Too much of everything is bad. If you bet with all your salary, its bad. If you drink with all your salary, its bad. If you even buy clothes with all your salary it is financial recklessness and that is bad.

Do everything with caution.

opendo21:
To me it was pure fun and I was enjoying it.

You should have kept it as just for fun. Most people keep it that way and they are happy.

I still bet myself. I have accounts in other bookies and I still bet. When abroad, I chill a lot in Ladbrokes or William Hill. But I keep my bets limited to what I can afford to lose.

manofluck:
I was not betting just for fun, I was betting 2 make money nd change my life through gambling.

WRONG! WRONG!! WRONG!!!

If you had put down your username, I would have been able to help.

Hello Sir,
I think this makes sense because I so much love Nairabet because of the bonus they are given from small odds to big odds wink, anyway, if I wanted to deposit like 20k and I managed to grow the money to 50k, I my allowed to withdraw the whole 50k? Why am asking this because, I want to deposit 20k for this coming weekend games as I normally stake high.

Thanks

Yes you can withdraw the entire 50k.

If you deposit 10k and win 15k for example, you can withdraw the entire 15k.

Here is where we have restrictions. . .

Assuming you deposited 10k and you bet with N200 and won N250, you won't be able to withdraw the entire N10,250 because it will raise a red flag. Why deposit an amount you won't bet with and then withdraw immediately? We will wonder why?

Did the customer use another person's card to deposit?

Is there a sort of laundering taking place?

We will ask questions. . . To protect YOU.

Meanwhile, you did not even state your username so we can take a look for you.

Your money is safe with us.

Thank you for using

onyxo76: Has anyone here used any of the nairabet shops before? is it true that they only accept accumulators of a minimum of 4 matches?
I was at one of their shops in Ile-Ife the other day and the agent there said that i can only combine 4 matches and above on a single bet slip.

You can play singles in all our shops. Which of the Ife shop is that? Kindly let us know so we can deal with the situation.

Thanks
