Ab025: Since she went through all the tweets and posts of her husband-to-be, it seems she discovered the guy is a real player or a ladies man or ladies are always into him, etc, and she may not be able to live her life in jealousy since he likes making friends with mostly ladies...this is likely to be the reason she called off her engagement. |
duffie: Exactly, my thought..the girl may actually be saying the truth that she lied against her father. If you go through the story again, the girl actually admitted she lied six months after her dad was sentenced to prison but when the case was taken to court again, the trial judge claimed that the girl's recantation appears to be forced and not voluntarily. Also the girl visited her dad in the prison at the age of 15.If truly she was raped by her dad,she would not have persuaded the court to allow her visit her dad in prison. |
A Saudi woman called off her engagement with her fiance after she discovered that girls and women comprised of most of his friends and followers on social networks and microblogs. According to Gulf News, a two-week search by the young woman before making her final promise involved looking at all the tweets posted by herfiance on his Twitter account, as well as at all the pictures and comments hehad on his Facebook and Instagram accounts. Several people praised her for her decision online and said that it was absolutely right for women to have enough knowledge about their future husbands that will help them make theright decision. However, those who criticized her pointed out that she had no right to pry into the man's personal life before becoming her husband, the report said. Source: allcrazynews..com |
A woman whose father went to prison when she told police he raped her as anine-year-old has said she made up the story to avoid being beaten by her mother. Chaneya Kelly, 24, of Newburgh in upstate New York, is pleading for her father's release nearly 16 years after she accused him of molesting her in 1997. Ms Kelly, who says her mother – then addicted to drugs and alcohol – forcedher to make the claim, has said: 'I'm 24-years-old and I made this mistake when I was nine-years-old – but it's never too late to try and right your wrong.' Her father Daryl Kelly, a Navy veteran who ran an electronics repair shop in Newburgh, was sentenced to 20 to 40 years in prison and barred from any contact with his children after being convicted by a jury of multiple counts of rape and serious sexual assault. Kelly, who has always maintained his innocence, had never been convicted of a felony before. 'All I think is, one day the truth will set me free. All I have to do is hold on,' Kelly told NBC News from the Green Haven Correctional Facility. In October 1997, while Kelly was living with his wife Charade and their five children in Newburgh, he says he was attempting to rid himself of a drug habit in order to take better care of his family. But he said his wife's own drug habit had spiralled to the point where she turned to prostitution in order to feed her addiction. Chaneya, the Kellys' eldest child, says that one morning before school her mother asked her whether her father had ever 'touched' her. 'I was like, “What do you mean, did hetouch me?” And she was like, “Did he touch you in your no-no spot?” And I would repeatedly say no,' the now 24-year-old said. According to Ms Kelly her mother threatened to beat her if she did not 'tell me the answer that I want to hear'. She said she told her mother her fatherhad molested her to avoid being beaten, even though it wasn't true. Kelly was taken in for questioning on October 29 1997. There was no definitive forensic evidence to prove Chaneya had been raped, but the little girl and her mother's story – together with some suspect answers Kelly provided during questioning – were enough for officers to charge the father of five. He refused a plea deal that would have made him eligible for parole in six years, and within a year was sentenced to up to 40 years following a trial by jury. His daughter was sent to live with her grandmother, a Pentecostal minister, and six months later Chaneya told her grandmother her father had never raped her. Pat Thomas took her granddaughter toKelly's attorney who videotaped the child's recantation. Her mother, Charade, also submitted a sworn affadavit to the court which saidshe threatened to beat her daughter until she said her father raped her. A judge refused to vacate Kelly's conviction, deciding the recantation appeared forced. Kelly, who remains in jail to this day, began studying law and has filed multiple appeals. His daughter visited him in prison when she persuaded the courts to allow her to have contact with him at the age of 15. Source: www.allcrazynews..com |

A 911 operator saved the day for one bride, whose wedding gown was stolenjust hours before the wedding. The wedding day causes a lot stress forthe bride. Imagine if the bride still needed to get a gown on the day of her wedding. Well, that's what happened with a bride in Tacoma, Washington. Amanda was getting ready to go to a wedding hall in order to celebrate her wedding. She placed her $6,000 wedding gown into a car and went back into the house to get other items. When she came out again, she realizedthat her wedding dress was gone. The wedding ceremony was just a few hours away when her wedding dress was stolen. The distressed bride called 911 to report the theft, and she received more help than expected. 911 operator Candice, came to her rescue. Candice took the necessary information and sent police to the woman’s house. While Candice was on the phone with the bride, she asked what size her wedding gown was. "Sizeone or three," the bride replied. Candice, 28, had an idea. She was married 18 months before and she hada gown that size. She asked her supervisor if she can offer Amanda her wedding gown. When she got the approval, the 911 operator sent a photo of herself in the gown to an officer on the scene. The officer showed the photo to the bride and asked if she would like to borrow that wedding dress for her special day. With just hours to go before the wedding, the bride gladly accepted, and it fit perfectly. Newlywed Amanda surprised 911 operator Candice at her office to returnher dress, and to say a heartfelt thank you to the woman she credits with saving her wedding day. Candice is happy she was able to help."It feels so good she got to have a wedding dress on her wedding day. I've been a bride and I know that it's awesome. I made a new friend today," Candice said. Candice seems to be the perfect personfor the 911 job, which is all about helping people in stressful situations. Source: www.newsplatform.com |
Fear is simply defined as a feeling you have when you think danger or pain is near. We have all felt fear and know the effect it can have in our lives whenwe let it control us. Sometimes we experience so many disappointing and hurtful situations in our lives that fear becomes our first response. The intimidating student at school, the unkind sibling or stepsibling at home, many things can cause feelings of fear to become stirred up within you. Hoping you do well on a final exam you didn’t study for or possibly not turning in a project worth half your history grade is a reason to feel fear. Well, we know what the dictionary says fear is but what does God say fear is? I believe that God tells us many times in his word that fear is from the enemy. Fear is a commanding force that the enemy usesto control and keep us from fulfilling God’s will in our lives. In Mark 3:27 it says, “No one can enter a strong man’shouse and carry off his possessions unless he first ties up the strong man.”The Lord is simply saying the enemy cannot steal your peace withoutbinding you up first. The “house” he is referring to is you and inorder to stealyour peace he must bind you up, and the way he binds us up is with good old trusty fear. Fear is nothing more than a lie used to trick us into being useless to God. In this I mean if the enemy can whisper in yourear ” Your never going to finish that” or ” What ifI mess up and every one laugh’s at me?” he has formed both fear and doubt within you. He has taken your eyes off of God, his will and blessing for your life and in turn refocused you on the ” giant” standing before you. Now you’re to busy trembling and hiding from the “giant” that you haven’t even noticed the paradise just beyond your massive problem. That’s the way he wants you, frozen with fearand useless to God andmissing out onthe astonishing plans hehas for your life. The great news is that you can overcome fear and defeat the many”Giants” that dare come against you. You can find peace even in the midst of great difficulty and challenges. You can overcome and defeat fear just as David did with Goliath. What aided David so greatly inhis victory was he did not see the giantstanding before him. No, what he saw was God ” The Lord does no save with sword and spear; for the battle is the Lord’s and he will give you into our hand’s” 1 Sam. 17:47 David did not trust in his physical sight but only in his spiritual sight. He knew what God had promisedand he trusted in that more than he feared the giant. That is how we overcome our fear, to not see our circumstances that we our facing inlife, but to trust in the Lord to be bigger than anything we could ever face. He tells us in Romans 8:28 ” that in ALL things God works for the good of those who love him” translation: Nomatter how bad a situation is or looks to you, if you focus on me I will work it out for your good. The Lord even comforts and reassures us in Isaiah 42:1-2 ” Fear not, for I have redeemedyou; I have summoned you by name. When you pass through the waters I will be with you” He is lettingus knowhe aware that we are going to have fear come into our lives but to remember he personally chose you to be one of his children. And with that comes a promise from him to protect you and lovingly walk beside you in the worst moments. What an awesome promise from a tremendous loving God. The same hands that created this earth and all that you see around you is devotedly guiding you through each and every day if you just learn to look beyond the fear and trust him. I believe learning to not be afraid of fear and knowing that God wants his children to be free and fulfill the planshe has for them. I am encouraging youas a believer and precious child of the living God to not tell yourself ” I’m scared I’m terrified I’m afraid ” But instead to say ” I trustand know that God has an exciting plan for my life and that God is watching over and protecting me everystep I take and that I am more that a conqueror” I consider words to be a very powerful force in our lives and so I encourage you today to rethink your words and thinking. And to begin trusting in the God who is bigger than anything you will ever face today or tomorrow. Instead choose peace over fear, Gods truth over the enemy’s lies and be free. Just as fear is the force that carries outthe will of the enemy, faith is the forcethat draws out the will of God in our lives. In order for fear to be broken in our lives; we must decide to think differently and choose to take God at his word. Next time you feel fear creeping up on you remember that12 year old, skinny Shepard boy, who’sown family didn’t even think enough of to notice him and what he accomplished and where God took him.
