The Federal Government has declared Tuesday 4th and Wednesday 5th June as public holidays to mark the Muslim Eid-Al-Fitr celebration.

A statement released by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Barrister Georgina Ekeoma Ehuriah, congratulated Muslim faithfuls on a successful completion of the Ramadan Fast and enjoined all Nigerians to use the occasion of the celebration to pray for the peace, unity, prosperity and stability of the nation.

Waiting for president buhari and aisha

The president and vice president were both accompanied by their wives, Aisha Buhari and Dolapo Osinbajo.

The ceremony which is taking place at the Eagle Square had former head of state Yakubu Gawon, Senate President Bukola Saraki, Speaker Yakubu Dogara, former minsters, service chiefs among others.

Buhari was elected on March 9 along side Yemi Osinbajo for a second tenure in office.

There was drama, yesterday, at actress Regina Daniels Children’s Day Carnival In Agbor, Delta State, as singer Zlatan Ibile was initially prevented from performing.

It was gathered that the decision to stop his performance was linked to his recent arrest by the EFCC over his alleged links to cybercrime and its potential negative effect on the impressionable children at the event.

At a point, the singer had to profusely beg one of the organisers to allow him perform so as to shore up his image. .

As the matter degenerated to a stage when some of the organisers threatened to shutdown the event if Zlatan is allowed to perform, Regina Daniels’ husband and mom had to be called in to intervene before he was eventually cleared to perform.

Blessing Okoro, clocked 30 on May 23, 2019. To celebrate the big day, Okoro shared preparations for her glamorous birthday on social media.

However, the blogger gained more fans after she shared before and after photos of a seven-bedroom duplex that she claimed to have built eight years after her ex-husband threw her out of his one-bedroom apartment.

Blessing's post partly reads: “8 years ago my ex-husband threw me out of his 1 bedroom apartment. 8 years later I built myself a 7 bedroom duplex....I picked up all the stones he threw at me to build myself…”

However, just two days after the blogger shared the news of her alleged new house, reports filtered on social media that a China-based man is the actual owner of the building and that Okoro only took photos of the house to share on social media.

In a voice note sent to Instablog9ja by one Onye Eze, the alleged real owner of the house, who is said to be based in China, called the blogger an idiot for trying to deceive people with his house.

It was also gathered that the property is located at Republic Layout, Bricks Estate, Enugu state, and the blogger only lives close by.

According to reports, two residents of the estate also claimed that the lady only took photos of the property as well as that of the uncompleted building nearby and claimed they are before and after photos

President Muhammadu Buhari has signed the 2019 Appropriation bill of N8.91 trillion into law few weeks after it was passed by the National Assembly.

The budget consists of N4.65 trillion recurrent expenditure, N2.94 trillion capital expenditure, statutory transfer of N502.58 billion, N2.25 trillion for debt servicing.

In his remarks after passing the budget, Senate President Bukola Saraki praised the committee and fellow senators for their contributions to the passage of the bill and tasked executive to ensure its full implementation.

He said: “I want to thank our colleagues, particularly for their understanding and for us to be able to meet today’s deadline in passing the bill and (I) thank the Committee on Appropriation too.”

“I hope that with this budget passed, the Executive will also ensure the full implementation of the budget for the benefit of Nigerians as a whole.”
