Yes my brother at the moment you can use Bamboo for Lintel works and other less load bearing walls and there is a lot of RD into this possibilities especially in Asia where they have developed amazing bamboo sections and profiles and other varieties.
My brother that is the future.

This how Bambokcretes are made there us a lot of research into this topic but it can only be used for concrete works that does not support plenty loads the are less load bearing than the normal steel .
But this is the future of reinforcement of concrete works am sure of that.

My own understanding of DIY when it comes to building is like d project manager of your project. It doesn't stop one from engaging a professional. Because i have never for once seen any building owner here doing plumbing works or electrical wiring, because u will never learn anything in toto from youtube. The idea we share here is to have a clue, so we can interact with professionals without looking lost. Not that we are gonna do it ourselves. There is no way someone will learn electrical wiring from NL & Youtube without field training & wire a 3 bedroom bungalow, u go just burn your house. DIY approach is for minor fault, like fixing d wall socket, joining d tv wire etc...not full scale project. Whether u use the DIY route or not, u will still hire a professional or someone who has been in that line to execute the job while u watch. Just that most times the DIY approach gives one the confidence to hire less experienced persons, giving room for shoddy jobs.

Very good advice, it might sound funny but ist very good.
If you are first time building client you don't have business causing problems for yourself just try get a good land that will afford you better sleep and conserve you financies.
I once advices a friend like that he refused and even stopped greeting after a river was sold to him around mode. After building for 4years he is still yet too roof and spending plenty money on the project.
Now he is back to his senses and finally sold it to another JJC and bought a piece of land in a dry place just less that 6mknths he he has roofed the place nah money for Windows Nd doors he dry find.
Except for clients experienced in building or those who has a lot of financies to commit to the project I mean plenty millions any land close to river or too sloppy should be avoided.

Starting from the first page to the external details for architectural files and all columns drawings n details for structural files.
After all plotting of the result(the pages) on AutoCAD or any software the architect or the engineer might be using is abt 55files to 60files page by page or lemme use sheet by sheet.
We normally use e.g: sheet no; A101 till u get to d last file maybe A126

It could even be more than that depending on how professional and the level of the details the client wants and also the commission given to the Architect .
All this said I know I can still get the regular 8-pages of drawings also for your project all Nash money matter

You should be able to give a range , a range is not same as a quote and a quote is not an invoice but all works have a range . I believe Egunmogaji is on point.

If u see the standard price rate NIA stated for designs u go run...Just go for an architect u can afford. They all have varying prices according to qualification & years of practice. A professor in architecture i know will never design for u below 500k. But though he doesn't accept all job. While a graduate architect can take 50k. It is like that.

My Oga it's not like that you must be careful how you choose Architect for your Project for instance if your Project is around Ikoyi VI, Lekki Phase 1,and some selected Areas you better be ready to pay proper professional fees who's is just 4.75percent of the cost of the project,(though I can still negotiate but the Architect structural and services Engineers must be registered with their individual professional bodies) or else you are going to face plenty wahala from LABSCA , BCPG etc

For individual package . But please note it might only apply for just a draft working drawings and might not career for approval drawings . Also it depends on the location . And development authourities within that area.

Depends on how far you are willing to go from 150k to millions depending on the location and purpose for the drawings .

Oga only a QS will give you the best figures in terms of quantity and total cost.
All said just prepare yourself from within 5500-6500blocks depending on a lot of factors then it total budget should be writhing 8-12million it can be more depending on your taste and general site condition.

The greatest challenge that this containers face is HVAC I.E ventilation and air condition. Especially in a place like Abuja with a considerably high solar intensity. These will be a major cause for the increase in the cost of the project.
The implication is you will spend along of money on insulation from heat also u will spend a lot on protection of the steel from corrosion . These type of structures are more suitable for temperate regions . Where the opposite is the case. This is why it has not really thrived in this part of the world as putting all this factors into the equation makes it more expensive than the average house built with block and hence becomes less attractive to developers and clients.
There is no way it can really be green in this part of the world because you will require a lot of energy to keep it table stable and comfortable for human habitation.

Sharp sand varies but it is still called sharp sand, or do u have another name for it? It sharpness which affects its colour will definitely affect its sizes. The difference in name we hear are localize name given due to its location source, but they are all sharp sand.

My Oga I don't think we should overflog this matter we all agree that there are different sharp sand . What we are simply saying is that these variations have different engineering properties and usage.
Afterall tiles is tiles but we still have floor and wall tiles designed for different purpose.
What we are trying to dissuade people is fallacy of hasty generalisation.
As we all agree everything in construction has consequence. The quality of advice we give also have consequences .
I will conclude like this granite might have a general name but I have it in different sizes. For different types of engineering. Job, same for cement. Even our local gravel.

No sir Sharp sand varies and its not about colour.its ,ainly about particle sizes and bonding abilities.
