People deceive people. I really appreciate the professionals in this house. 13m and 20m is a lot of money but I appreciate those that are saying the truth here. 13th will only try may be close to roofing on a dry land. 20m may not be enough but with extra 6m you should have something called a duplex. Please note that am not an engineer but I have spent 17m on this house at this stage. So do the calculations by your self
At this stage of the project i dont know how big your house is or your taste, but for a moderate Finnish your are still minimum of 5 million naira to go. building a house is never cheap and its a serious business to avoid maintenance challenges.

when it comes comes to POP quality is key, straight lines and edges. the price is not expensive sir it depends on the value he will be giving you at the end of the day.
however that been said there is a standard price for installation of flat ceiling which ranges fro 650-800 and this prices can fly for simple POP designs for complex and more detailed design yes the charges can go way up to 1000-1500 its all about results sir.

Now my POP man is saying that we should run jogging before we do the job. Is itcompulsory to run nogging before POP or which is better. Thanks

yes sir once u are casting for pop and not installing Gypsum Boarss its very important you run Nogging .
I guess the carpenter was being Mischevious by asking you just hand 2x2 instead of doing his Job.

@ oga at top is it necessary to put pillar to a bungalow building on a solid ground ?

This is dependedn upon your house design.
some design have free standing colomns here you have pillars.
other conditions are if you have Heavy elements at the top or in the roof of the building the its becomes neccessary. For instanve you have a water tank placed inside the roof or you are using Concrete fascis in some cased parapet walls.
Finally when you bungalow has large or span open spaces you neet to introduce colomns.

But if it is a large one like a hospital or school with long span, there is need to include pillars

Whats is required are what we call expansion gaps not neccessarily pillars.

Hello chief how are doing i believe you need to start from having a design idea first because alot of factors can determine the real ckst of your proposed warehouse and all these would have been resolved from the design stage.
This will serve as a basis for proper and detailed cost analysis.

Structural integrity before aesthetics.
So whts d use of factor of safety incorporated @ d design stage for each structural member. Shouldn't it b able to cover for such, Giving that all members are systematically connected to each other from roof to foundation. [Would such cutting disintegrate the entire structural connection]
Besides that part is far away from the 'max stress point",
of the said beam which supposedly has been reinforced.

Factor of safety does not cover for u cutting rebars lets look at it this way.
Let's loom at it this way u can bend the rebar move the rebar but not cutting the rebar for any reason whatsoever if an structur guy advices you like that kindly reject it.
More so buildings age and u are creating stress points when u cut rebar.

NB am not trying to sound smart or something safety is key no matter how beautiful or well furnished a building is nobody will use it if it's not safe.
The PH building collapse was not due to bad materials or technical know how it was due to poor supervision as the building collapsed due to have too many load imposed on the building in form of machines materials and man power cause vibrations in the slab members.
So please lets be very careful.

It's never advisable to cut rebars for structural beam this approach should have been the last resolve. With the position of the pip u could have neatly positioned a duct at the corner to take care of the plumbing failure.aesthetics an never take precedence of structural stability it's very dangerous. Please invite us structural engineer to site before proceeding with this.
Please let's do all necessary to avoid building collapse .

Depends on the type of bungalow but generally no.
But for bungalows with suspended floor slabs of any kind yes it's required.
