The woodwork is different?..but in our private discussion in the past you said that the woodwork for both of them are the same.



There seems to be alot of contraditory information and I m gettin abit confused tbh .
The main difference is their spacing while you can space longspan from 600mm to 900mm for step tiles and metcoppo it must be exact at 325mm c/c. That is a major difference .

Becos Metcopo and Steptiles design mk use if thesame woodwork and poline spacing . But few carpenter know this..
Reason why u need to know the design u are going for before the purchase.

Metcopo and Steptiles design are okay.

Not that Longspan is not good but depend on ur budget

I wasn't swindled. The plan was for 0.45mm which was supplied. This is the appropriate guage for domestic use. 0.55mm and above is appropriate for industrial use. You know there's trouble when you recommend industrial standard for domestic use.

even if you use a 0.45mm instead of a 0.55mm...will that lead to such level of leakage?..I ve no experience in this but i suppose a thickness of .10mm which is less than 20% difference in thickness should not lead to such amount of leakage under 2years...the roof posted by @diordaves looks sloped and should not have such issues..

and can you please tell us what is the cause of this price difference between lagos and Benin?

I used metcopo over two years ago and I'm still maintaining and so are ALL home owners in my estate in Warri. Metcopo is a flawed design prone to leakage like mad.

We negotiated to reduce the workmanship to 500K.

It’s best to pay for this level of detail that you’re seeking for the following two reasons.

1) it has been alleged in here that some unscrupulous artisans use this method to provide estimates to their client

2) it will remove any animosity from a builder that you did not select

Also, do not take any estimate serious from anyone that didn’t see your building plan and most likely building site.
