ngoziama:. The same Gid that rejected your GEJ and his demonic party PDP, the vultures who fed fat on the treasury and brought us to this state. For 5years under the misfortune of a GEJ/PDP Nigeria state became free for all party grabbers and now that judgement is being sought on their heads you are crying foul. While the PDP was in power did they share any of their loots with any present APC member? Why are they scared of using their IGBERETV & TRENTONLINE to state who and who in APC collected monies from Goodluck Jonathan? It's absolutely shameful for a party that refuse to tame the monster- CORRUPTION while they had sweeping powers in the executive and legislature to now dictate how the war should be fought. No matter how you flip the script the PDP still has the most thieves and corrupt personalities of all the political parties in Nigeria from 1999 till date. A party that never engaged on issue-based campaigns in all national elections but solely relied on federal might and the power of looted funds which failed them ultimately at the last ballot. Technically, we have no opposition in Nigeria because I wonder on what grounds the PDP can oppose the present arrangement, a party that flufffed its numerous chances at changing the face of the Nigerian state in all facets. It's also obvious now that the army of other mushroom parties absolutely have nothing to offer in terms of opposition. They are not even saying anything to start with, all they exist for is to show up during electioneering periods and make our ballot papers as long as a betting slip of 45games. Slowly but surely Nigeria's fortunes will be turned around. Ride on PMB |

obailala:. Have you bothered to find out how much the current winners were given at the same event before you go about with your shameless propaganda? |
keyzid:. But you doubted the allegations before now, is it now clear to you that those reports were not fabricated. |
MCRUEMUS:. There is nothing to fear once your hands are clean. All of us are not thieves or criminally minded |
TheNature:. Intelligent governors are much sought after even by the corporate world. In terms of intellectual acumen and work done as governor in their respective states Ayo Fayose is miles behind Oshiomhole, you can only boast about what you've done for the people in opposing the centre. That was what Oshiomhole did in Edo State. Adams Oshiomhole remains the foremost labour union of Nigeria in the last 3decades. Can you please tell me of Ayo Fayose's antecedents before he became governor in 2003? Oshiomhole survived the onslaught of the ruling party PDP in getting reelected for a 2nd term in office in 2012 whereas Ayo Fayose was drowned by his own party PDP in 2006 and sent on exile from Ekiti State. Ayo Fayose whose popularity couldn't win him a senatorial seat under Labour Party in 2011 is now the poster boy of PDP. It's an insult of monumental proportions to even compare Oshiomhole with him. |
MrsPhyno:. Are you going to do all you have listed with stones or spittle. How much is our earnings as at today? Or you expect the government to order the CBN to print money? What exactly is wrong with repatriating and collecting back loots? What is wrong with catering for the poor, vulnerable and the unemployed as captured in the budget with a tify sum of about N500billion to be managed by the office of the VP? What's wrong with asking people and public office holders to shun corruption and adhere to due process? What is wrong with having an efficiency unit to monitor all federal parastatals in curbing wastages and enforcing adherence to laid down procedures? What is wrong in having a President who's changing the face of Nigeria in the international community? What is wrong in having a federal government that encourages probity, accountability and zero tolerance for corruption? What's wrong in having a President who chose not to spend FG's funds on religious pilgrimages? What is wrong in having a President who said I will stamp out Boko Haram and also encouraging the Islamic world to stand up against all forms of religious extremism? What is wrong in having a President who has voted more for capital expenditure 30%-35% more than his predecessors? What is wrong with having a President who is fixing the rot in the NNPC by seeking to break it into 4parts to enable maximum efficiency of the component parts? What's wrong with having a President who has not made ex-militants and ex-agitators as the kingpins of the society? What's wrong with having a President who feels the pulse and reactions of the public to his policy framework-the budget? What's wrong with having a President who has never blamed insurgency on any rival political party and has downgraded them? What is wrong with having a President who insisted that Nigeria cannot pay any form of subsidy to marketers at the present low price of crude oil? What's wrong with having a President under whose watch DPR & PPPRA have enforced the confiscation and shutdown of erring filling stations during the time of scarcity? What's wrong with having a President who is fixing the refineries and ensuring that the pipelines work and thereby reduce the level of long distance trucking of petroleum products? What's wrong with having a President who most governors even in the opposition are aligning with for development in their states e.g. Ben Ayade of Cross River? What's wrong with a President who understand that investing massively in roads, rail, maritime, healthcare & education (the budgetary provisions says it all)? What's wrong with having a President who want the judiciary to be above board in the fight against corruption, criminality and all forms of civil offences? What's wrong with having a President who revamped the EFCC with efficient & effective leadership in Ibrahim Magu? What's wrong with having a President who consistently maintain that Nigeria must kill corruption before the reverse? What is wrong with having a President who's genuinely concerned about the welfare of the masses and he's willing to do all it takes to realise this? |
I hope Fayose is learning from his more refined peer governors. It goes beyond being opposition to the centre and and little to show for your stewardship at home. This is a governor that took oath of office 7months after you and he's made giant strides in Kaduna State, Akinwumi Ambode just recently held his 2nd quarterly town hall meeting at Lagos City Hall where he gave account of his stewardship, Willie Obiano is reshaping Anambra, Ben Ayade is running things in Cross River. Beyond politicising every issue in the country with your numerous shallow press statements Governor Ayo Fayose can you honestly put out a paid advert and tell the whole nation what you have achieved in the last 15months in Ekiti State? |
playtheblues:. While you are doubting the story hear this "you don't see the seed inside the soil but at harvest you certainly can't cover the fruits as it's obvious to all bystanders" That story is very true, moreover Google is your dependable tool but I doubt if you'll search it out so as to remain blinded to the "entire story". If Nebuchadnezzar who thought he was the ultimate ruler of the world could be humbled by God to the point of eating grass then who is Olisa Metuh. I hope we all learn a few lessons from the travails of the alleged looters. Nothing truly lasts forever. |
Pikin wey say im mama no go sleep that pikin sef no go doze. The battle between the Nigerian state and the secessionist Kanu has just started and by the time we are through with him he will understand the difference between BUBU & DUMBO. His brother Tompolo has gone out of circulation but we'll get him. No bloody nuisance will threaten the peace, progress & tranquility of our nation and go scotfree. |
timsucess:. It's quite obvious that ignorance kills faster than EBOLA or HIV/AIDS. The offer to negotiate with Boko Haram was for the release of the Chibok girls. It's done all over the world, the mighty US negotiates with terrorists for the release of their captured nationals in troubled zones around the world. |
vanbonattel:. You guys are used to treating criminals as thin gods, they will be severely dealt with. No misguided set of individuals will be allowed to hold the nation to ransom, those assets belong to the FG & the oil majors and economic saboteurs will be cut to size. Trust PMB when he says so. |
fm7070:. Criminals don't understand diplomacy, they are simply economic saboteurs and they won't be treated with kids gloves. |
mandax:. Why not start the war from your household against criminality. All acts of economic sabotage will be severely dealt with. |
laprince:. Relax and watch the proceedings except you want to stand as surety for him. |
Wack N400m cough out N400million as bail. No cheating. |
rugged7:. You are the hypocrite here, convicting an ex-governor on the pages of nairaland. You've forgotten that you can't be a judge in your case, please remind your governor that the roads to the courts in Rivers State are wide open, he should do the needful or you guys should forever hold your peace. On your perception scale the PDP is still the most corrupt of all political parties in Nigeria from 1999 till date. |
ozoemenafn:. Raising spurious allegations and having a case instituted against you are two different things. Please give us their case reference numbers and the assigned judges. Shameless propaganda has never helped the cause of the PDP, it's sympathizers and the army of disciples of corruption. How many members of the political class (PDP & oppositio) did your hero GEJ charge to court or brought to justice on account of corruption? Tell us. He was simply okay with status quo of institutionalized corruption while he preoccupied himself with differentiating between stealing and corruption. Nigeria will continue to shame all its detractors. |
HIGHESTPOPORI:. He doesn't need the EFCC to prosecute his case, he should proceed to court with his attorney general and state prosecutors. The facts are at his disposal and the ball is in his court. |
maestroferddi:. The PDP tried to stop PMB they threw everything at him and his party but they failed woefully. Don't even deny it but alas they were the architect of their misfortune. |
HIGHESTPOPORI:. An administrative panel of inquiry is not a court, why has the governor failed to implement the report submitted to it? The job of the state attorney general is to institute cases on behalf of the state government against any official within their jurisdiction. All the evidence needed for prosecution are there in the Rivers State ministries as handed over to him. Let him commence prosecution without delay. Enough of propaganda without any substance. |
OBJlive:. So why treat the high profile alleged criminals differently from thousands of awaiting trial inmates scattered across the nation's prisons. |
preetyb:. The generality of Nigerians who abhor corruption and want the best for their fatherland. |
dckng16:. Please feel free to break Nigeria up, you didn't advocate for a breakup when the yam barns were looted from all sides, it's judgement season that you think we should all go our separate ways so that each geopolitical zone can continue the stealing and embezzlement. CHANGE is here. |
Billygee2u:. In other words, you've given us a clue how your hero GEJ will end up because he superintended the worst looting of the nation's treasury in the last 16years. Please don't bother your head about PMB, fighting corruption is well spelt out in the constitution which he swore to uphold. |
IVORY2009:. Yes you can comment on such cases but preempting the court is when you pass judgement in either party. The government has not done any of these, it will always be a matter for public discourse which is a vital ingredient of democracy. You simply can't gag the press and the public from analysing issues as they arise. |
Let's all kill corruption together. |

IVORY2009:. How and where did the government pronounce them guilty. The government has done the proper thing by bringing them to the courts where they'll have an opportunity to defend themselves. The news media cannot be gagged by the government and you can't kill the court of public opinions. Are people not criticizing the government on a daily basis? But when it comes to the issue of the alleged thieves, looters, embezzlers and corrupt individuals the public should not have an opinion about them. NO |
PDP didn't remember the rule of law when they trampled on the rights of millions of Nigerians to having a good life and protect them from the enemies of the state-BOKO HARAM. In their cunny ways they allowed insurgency to fester so that they can keep spending and diverting as much billions as time and space permitted them. The chicken has come home to roost and we simply don't pity them as they go through their travails. |
AceRoyal:. Has the common man not suffered enough on the grounds of the shameless attitude of the thieving elite in public office through the decades? The reason why elected and appointed officials steal is because the law has not made enough examples of past offenders. |
