The players have been off colour all season but this business is about results. Mou did what he had to do to bring out the best in them but there was little left when up to 5key players lost form totally-Hazard, Costa, Fabregas, Oscar & Mastic. We look to better days ahead. |

Oil rich states are good for PDP to govern but candidates on the platform of APC must not even aspire to seek the votes of the electorate. Is it not the APC led FG that shares on a monthly basis oil & non-oil revenue to federal, states & LG. Jehovah! How did we get here as a nation? |
Why some states will remain backward politically is that they believe every governor, senator, house of rep member and state assembly member must come from the PDP. The moment their compatriots from the same state choose a different political leaning they become outcasts. For some it's okay for the PDP to have penetration into every geopolitical zone in Nigeria but TABOO for the APC to aspire to do the same. We must build a culture of tolerance for diverse political views. |
denssing:. You folks said more and boasted to high heavens in the run up to the presidential election. Let the electorate decide in a peaceful atmosphere who will govern them. If Nigeria wants to be an excellent reference point in Africa it must through its laws and statutes curb all forms of electoral impunity. ELECTION IS NOT WAR. |
APC governors campaigned and sought the votes of the electorates. Did APC win in Delta? NO Gombe?NO Ekiti?NO. Anambra?NO. Ebonyi? NO. ENUGU?NO ONDO?NO |
Mcowubaba:. You should ask those states why they resorted to brigandage and needless bloodletting while other states conducted themselves properly to a reasonable extent. |
Ask the party of IMPUNITY |
Parties have to win the trust of the electorate by complying with the extant laws/guidelines relating to the conduct of elections at all levels and not seek to out muscle their political contenders. |
If the case had a merit it won't be thrown out. Are you also aware that 2APC senators in Kogi lost their seats and were also barred from contesting the rerun polls? |
Koolking:. Jimi Agbaje did not win any election in Lagos State, he gave a good fight and the competition was far keener than Fashola's reelection in 2011(where he practically walked over Ade Dosumu). APC won majority of all the NASS seats, state assembly seats and the 3senatorial seats. |
Who controls the money? APC Have the SS states exempted themselves from the Federal Accounts Allocation Committee and the National Economic Council. ILLITERACY is truly a disease. |
When PDP controlled 29states out of 36 in 2003 several super analysts here on nairaland were not crying about one party state then. The worst general election ever to be conducted was in 2007 which led to several staggered elections in Nigeria. There are laws guiding the conduct of elections in Nigeria chief of which is the Electoral Act 2010(as ammended) and this judgement had put a death knell to all brazen acts of impunity, violence, blood letting and brigandage in the guise of winning at all costs. |
When the government eventually show you the plans and structure through the budget next week I hope you won't start complaining about the details being too lengthy. This government is well on course to right the wrongs of yesteryears. Only the blind will not see the sincerity of purpose on the part of PMB and his team. #betterdaysahead |
Sweetguy25:I agree that praying doesn't solve all the problems but supporting kleptomaniac ex-government officials and money-hungry CAN members is worse. MBAKA has done the right thing-praying for the nation and it's only righteousness that exalts nations. The past administration was wicked to Nigerians as they stole shamelessly and ruled without the fear of God. |
emonkey:expect more to be sealed in the days ahead. STEALING IS NOW CORRUPTION. |
Splendid, quite commendable. Nigeria is blessed to have you as the President. A radical departure from the inglorious past |
10 out of 12 house of rep. members, 3 out of 3senators and the sitting governor sacked by the Federal court of appeal. You turned a civil exercise into a bloodbath and you expect to cling unto power. Your woes have just began. |
Man Utd you can DO IT |
Congratulations to my darling CHELSEA. The sky is still BLUE. |
Man Utd give your EPL brothers inspiration for tomorrow. ABEG |
Ibi to ba le lan ba omo okunrin. Fortune favours only the brave. Like Man Utd-outright WIN, like Chelsea-Win or Draw, like Arsenal-win by 2goal margin. |
United go for it. Thanks for the BTS under 15mins-delicious 1.8 |
Whether it's PDP or APC causing trouble in certain LGs in Bayelsa is not the appropriate question. Why are elections in the SS seen as war and not a civil course of action? I can imagine how difficult it's been for the security agencies to maintain peace across several waterways in Bayelsa with just 8 local governments. |
Almaiga:. As much as we like a few of these privately owned TV/Radio stations the honest truth is that their proprietors always come into the broadcasting business with a whole lot if baggage. Inspiration FM never featured the judicial travails of their proprietor on their news bulletins while the case lasted. |
The only time you know some parties exist in Nigeria is when they score single digit votes in a gubernatorial election. Since INEC allegedly stopped giving annual subvention to political parties most of them have remained ballot paper tigers. |
Politics without violence is what we must encourage at all times. Best of luck to APC, PDP and the other mushroom parties. |
I dey laugh o |
cktheluckyman:. Only the party can withdraw the nomination of a nominated candidate , APC has not done that, Faleke remains running mate to Yahaya Bello |
.....so NO APC states did election malpractice ?
