RomanceRe: Guys, Will You Date Ladies That Smoke Weed. by akintun: 1:48pm On Aug 27, 2013
I have actually dated a girl dat smokes weed b4, despite d fact dat I have never even tasted it b4. I would classify my relationship with dis girl as my best ever despite her weed smoking baggage . I'm actually not sure if I can marry a weed smoking girl.

ProgrammingRe: Why Africa May Never Produce A Facebook, Groupon, Zynga Or Google by akintun: 10:43pm On Aug 19, 2013
A billion dollar company means about 100m in net profit depending on valuation , and if d inherent risk involved in operating in Africa is included, then we are talking about a profit of about 250m 4 a billion dollar valuation . Abeg how can d Nigeria economy generate such income. Anyway Americans do over value their companies. With d exception of google, there is no way Europeans would those companies dat high.

SportsRe: On The Femi And The Gang/brila F.m Commentary Rights Saga. by akintun: 12:47pm On Aug 16, 2013
Zikdik: Two years ago,a bunch of talented 'sports-casters' hit the airwaves of Lagos and its environs with an articulate form of commentary that has this mouth-watering local flavour.Femi and the Gang started running commentary on the major leagues in the world(football being the focal point here) in 2011 and since then, most of us lost interest in the viewing centres and even t.v.Why pay exorbitant fees to watch football in a very noisy enviroment when you could as well watch it mentally by keeping your earphones phones plugged in and enjoy artistic commentary in the comfort of your bedroom,car,toilet...wherever?
Before then, the predominant sports station on radio was Brila f.m.Though,their commentary prowess was next to zero, they had and still have presenters who can really talk sports. But the spot-on action and excitement was lacking.
After the advent Femi and the Gang on Nigeria Info,Brila f.m started to lose followership.Dangerous situations require drastic measures.Brila quickly acquired the commentary rights and left Femi's crew high and dry.But something is amiss, the Brila crew still doesn't run commentary themselves. They just stream it live from the right issuers, talksportslive,a sports franchise based in the UK.
However,Femi and the Gang still run live commentary, much to ire of the rights holders,Brila f.m.According to rumours,Femi and the gang offered to buy rights just for buying sake and still do the commentary the Nigerian way.Brila however offered to buy the rights and just stream the commentary from talksportslive. In the end,Brila got the rights
Personally,I am Femi and the Gang on this one.Why not allow Nigerians like us run commentary the way we love it?Why should a bunch of white-heads with a funny accent do our commentary? Before I start to dey yarn vex yarn, abeg make una help me put mouth.
Feel free to bare your mind on this issue.
Wat do u mean by a bunch of white-heads. I don't think Femi and the gang actually run commentary.

bambostic: What kind of special treatment are you talking about? Even Blessing complained the AFN at the trials...
At d trials, d final of d 100m was delayed becos of Blessing, and dat got Gloria angry.
SportsRe: Countdown To World Athletics Championship (for Nigerian Fans) by akintun: 8:16am On Aug 16, 2013
ola_pluto: Nigerian athletes not happy. Displeasures with officials is becoming public! Almost all of them have complained today (twitter +fb) about the treatment from AFN.
Gloria Asumnu pulling out of the relay. I only pray that we dont lose a medal hope to mismanagement. This is like a repeat of the shameful period when our athletes intentionally dropped the batons to protest. Already we have seen a pseudo-protest from Ajoke Odumosu where she intentionally false-started twice to get a DQ.
I sometimes feel ashamed of Nigeria.
Gloria has not been happy with d special treatment AFN alway seem to give Okagbare . At d trials she complained about it. She would most likely compete because of d financial incentive involved.

Okagbare time needs to be faster than d second place person in d last heat, 4 her to get a good lane draw. Lane draws are very important in 200m

deene: this is not so difficult ... the only person better than her is allyson ... and am not seeing Allyson in her very best ... but we never know ... she ll surely make d finals
Dis is actually very diff becos of d importance of lane draw in a competitive 200m. She would need to win dis heat or get d fastest time after d winners 4 her to get d favorable lane3,4,5,6. A lane 1 or 2 for her would make her medal chances almost impossible.
SportsRe: Countdown To World Athletics Championship (for Nigerian Fans) by akintun: 9:44am On Aug 15, 2013
Very difficult semi final 4 Okagbare , but she should make d final. Dis would definitely show us her fitness level.
