1 kobo, because the widow in the bible gave something like that, and yet God saw hers better than all the other rich people. It's about your heart, not the amount. God loves a cheerful giver, not (necessarily) an excessive giver. |
I particularly like the Amplified Bibile because of the way it opens up the deeper interpretations of scripture. I read KJV most of the time for the same reason JeSoul gave, and Amp. when I don't really understand what is being said or when I want to get more insight. |
Why not tell everybody how much, i.e. if you're not trying to scam anyone? |

Hello, When I insert flash, etc into the port it doesn't autoplay and I can't 'see' it in 'My Computer'. However if I go to an app like Word and I click "open", I can see it from the drop-down menu. Please how do I fix this? Thanks. ![]() |

[/quote]Maybe because they dont have access to the kind of statistics that you're providing us. People like you have a responsibility to expose such scams. And then I've realised that many Nigerians have a fatalistic approach to life, so to them all good is God and all bad is satan, and there is really nothing we can do about it. I wonder how such people intend to move forward. |

No it is not. An embittered Nairaland.com member started that site. And your not being able to type the address is a means of addressing spam. |
@Poster Jesus paid for/covered for our sins. We will definatly sin but what Jesus did covers primarily for the penalty of sin i.e. (ultimately) Hell. A believer is not subject to go to hell by virtue of their belief in, acceptance and confession by word of mouth of what Jesus did on the cross for them. If for example I say that I've 'paid' for your crimes, it means that even if you commit crimes, you don't have to go to prison. you kind of get the drift? Of course that is no license to sin. Unfortunately some xtians see what Jesus did as a 'passport to heaven'. It is, in a great sense, but it is not an excuse to perpetually commit sin. bindex:There is no such thing as a big or small sin. All unrighteousness is sin, so the bible says. It is judgemental christians who have given different sins ranking. This came to my mind some time ago: if you ask the average Christian, "which sin is greater, lying or adultery", instictively they will say adultery. Interestingly, somewhere in Psalms, David lists seven things that are abominations to the Lord and guess what is Number 1 on the list? A Lying Tongue! How's that? ![]() |
Pussycat dolls gives you the impression that Nicole is the artist, and I consider it absurd that people still see them as a group. ![]() Even though Beyonce deliberately 'oppressed' the other two girls in Destinys child, it's obvious that they are a group, at least they usually have their own verses to sing. |
Lets be careful not to bunch everyone together. Although truth be told, quite a number of people do the whole 31st Dec. thing out of religious dogma. And the reason why people take it seriously is the same reason why lazy students do 'fire brigade' a day before an exam. Personally I see nothing wrong in praying into the new year. As long as you don't think that its that prayer alone that makes the year prosperous, successful, etc, blah blah blah and all the other things people like to wish each other at this time. It's not a bad idea to enter the new year in the prescence of God in prayer, some people even have sex into the new year. ![]() |

Thanks for sharing this. It's exactly what I've been thinking about this New Year's eve. On Nu yrs eve and during 'watchnight service', people fast and pray like they've never prayed before, probably because they think that one prayer is all they need to sail through the new year. I even used to think that way, but all of a sudden this year I'm thinking differently. New Year's eve just puts certain things in place. It's what you do in the months ahead that makes the difference. |

If you need to get a job done and youre not a professional I suggest that you get one. You don't know any software, I doubt if you'll be proficient enough to make something close to what you see on TV as soon as you install it. |
