Your number 1 just made this post a perfect foundation for a prosperous life. This is quite enlightening. |
You are just encouraging excessive eating especially that idea of eating 3-4 hours. Weight gain is a fixture of the mind and not gorging on just anything. In short, 'most' of what you have recommended will only lead to ill-health. |
The truth about all these courses is that they are relevant but what we have most times are poor local 'persuasion' or a situation where our corrupt politicians crowd out the genuine practitioners in favour of political jobbers. |
Okay, the two posters above me just want us to leap rather than walk. Well done Mr Larry...ages don't matter as these three teenagers words and expressions are what we could attribute to adults. A secret duel is gradually brewing but I hope it does not escalate into something fatal. |
Beautiful testimony and may God take you to higher places. |
Vanity zapping the thoughts of youths everyday as our elderly ones fail us. Fortunately I am not bothered, for every girl that feels money, luxury and other vain things are more important, they don't need to look far beyond the high rate of infidelity and divorce among those who have got it. Poverty is not a condition that anyone wills upon him/herself but when anyone mocks them, you are not better than their oppressors. |
Been a while. Just read through this page and will want to contribute my thoughts on timid. Timidity is a likely trait for an introvert but it is a weakness rather than strength. The thing is to suppress our weaknesses and amplify our strength which are great. Timidity no doubt rubs one of so many potential benefits. Don't mistake the opposite for being garrulous or proud. Just let confidence grow and dampen any form of timidity. |
You are just on the first path to the healing process. Don't let bitterness or anger fester in your heart, find a way to diffuse it, pray or sing if you are a christian. |
It is just one sadistic overhyped hollywood nonsense that will only give you nightmares. |
Thanks for the update. You just need to mind your use of adverbs and adjectives. This last update made me smile because of d way you used engulfed. |
Suffering and inefficiency should not be seen as training. Most who undergo such come out as victims why few become victors. |
You are knocking on the wrong door on opinions such as this. Live your life without giving a thought to debased opinion. Yes is the answer, even chronic womanizers want a form of security. |
Beautiful twist to this story. Waiting for more...well done Op. |
If you are making this argument, it points more to the failure of our education authorities to differentiate between what is polytechnic and university. This feeling of being better and the discrimination inherent in the system is the reason why students who should have done well in practical oriented nature of polytechnic would want to test their ability in the theoretical nature of Nigerian universities. This form of discrimination ought not to be assuming the authorities had made sure the requirements for each institution had been taken into consideration in the day to day administrative duties. |
If the purpose of this post is to focus on gp, you are totally missing the mark as reading and cramming can earn you that much. Our major problem is that our teaching and research has greatly reduced or the quality has been suppressed. What about the issue of practicals for those courses that require such. What we see most times are lack of adequate laboratories and other such necessary facilities. Lets get real, few are educated while most attend school. Once you are well educated, it should necessarily reflect in how high your gp . The fact is that result may take you far but your ability to use what you are taught in the world is what will make you great. As for Western education, for all of its good it deprives us of local content which is critical to all inclusive growth. |
Ideas...you need to read some more. You have the experiences already and it all depends on whether its a fiction or non-fiction. And please do some research as it would help in presenting a more enriching tale. |
I think you are writing with the first person narrative, if so, try to follow it through. Your style of writing and usage of sentences can be improved on. |
Sad that Chelsea don't have a good youth policy. |
There is a saying that those who fail to learn from others may actually experience that same thing. Op, you wouldn't want any of this. Marriage is almost a lonely world hence you need a faithful companion. |

Checkout the literary section, go on online mediums or research the possibilities of publishing online. |
My little advice, what can you do that will keep you going once profit don't come in the next few months or year? Apart from profit, what skill do you have or you have identified in others that you think can help solve problems in your immediate environment. Business solves problem, so think of a challenge that is worth your short or long term commitment. |
The truth about this whole tax haven is the fact most of the people handling the rein of power are not focussed on developing Africa or their immediate nation hence it would have being stopped. @Musicafrica, I thoroughly enjoyed your blog post as it concerns the indigenization of our Educational system. This thought have always been on my mind but your blog post just made it clearer. A lecturer once told us about the Japanese example which is a replica of what you wrote. This is a brave idea that you should not relent on. I am not Science inclined but I have seen some beautiful talents especially while I was in Sec. school. The multiplicity of languages in Africa have actually been a burden but I think it won't do us harm if this rule is taken seriously. As for the issue of keyboard having local alphabets, I have seen and it is a fact that religious books are been translated into our local languages. How do you think this was achieved? Also I must say that I am impressed with your handling of the God factor. Most scientists or some of recent are usually known for promoting what they call "Artificial intelligence". |
Thoughtful words that are worth considering. |
The pain attached to this betting business is quite telling even on those I know. Op work on yourself as regards your mental and maybe Spiritual health. Just try to think and dwell on the positive, suicide is and shouldn't be a consideration. |
Can it be revived? |
Bro, you have a problem with style. The way you have framed your narrative is quite weak. |
One major feature of your work, brief, concise and reflective of our environment. No need to say the obvious, always looking forward to the next. |
Reads very much like an episode from the popular drama series ' Face to Face'. Fine story, feeling the comedy. |
My thought is that dreams and its realisation are central to the growth of any national economy. How I wish for a time where the citizens will not be constrained by their environment and the economic realities in their push to find their true path. Dreams light up the world. |
Timbuktou:Definitely true that there can never be a non classless society but in the case of Nigeria, corruption and mismanagement can easily be blamed. The public institutions especially schools are overburdened hence pupils that attend these institutions are not likely to receive as much help as their mates in the private sector. The fact remains that opportunities most times are not open to the lower class as much as the upper class. |
This is an indictment on the Capitalist mode of living. The failure of government institutions has given the private sector a match ahead which has eventually created an unfair classified society. Money is the main bill of exchange for opportunities in the Capitalist world. |
