I beg to disagree. You don't need to call them expired If you don't like them. Unless the ogi (which I assume is pap) is WELL ENRICHED. Otherwise, you can't compare plain pap with cereal that has been fortified with all the nutrients needed to meet a baby's RDA. |
I wonder if anything can save this marriage. It is so wrong for spouses to keep secrets from each other. The man is the devil shikena! |
in simple terms, force-feeding is feeding a baby against his/her will. If Gloria's mistake and eventual conviction for force-feeding her baby to death does not teach any mother esp the literate ones a hard lesson, then I shudder at our educational system. For the benefit of those who may not have read the story, the Gloria in question is a nurse, she had used the same method for her two older children with no probs and the practice is widely used in Ghana her home country. Please eschew this practice in all forms - pinching, pouring, beating, and the likes. Don't wait till something happens! There are better ways to introduce our babies to solids bikonu. |
Milk, human or animal, is the most complete of all foods as it contains a fine blend of all the nutrients necessary for growth and devt of toddlers. E.g. Animal proteins such as milk, eggs, meat, fish etc contain all the essential amino acids in adequate amounts as against veggie sources which u have to diversify to supplement one another (if u r a vegetarian) The nutritive value of cow's milk is slightly higher in fat, calcium, minerals, energy and protein(nearly 3X more) when compared with human milk. That is not to say it is suitable for infant feeding but once a baby turns one, whole cow's milk is a great source of nutrients. |

Horny4u some good points u have there. However I strongly disagree with grouping milk in d bad category. What? Check again. Milk is nutritionally complete and should be given to children, esp under fives, as far as you can afford them. Otherwise, diversify a child's meal (balanced diet) so that he/she obtains nutrients needed for healthy growth. |
Thanks Efemena for addressing the force feeding issue. Pls Joy follow the link she provided and read. Resist the temptation to force feed...it's not safe at all. You may have been lucky all these while , u can't say what'll happen next. @PrettyCindy, you nko? If na u, u go gree leave the warmth of yummy booby for ordinary plate and spoon? Give my boy what he wants biko. BTW, it's common wit exclusively breastfed babies. Keep trying, he'll adjust. #MOTHERS ROCK!# |
LOL at Cantell. Some people are wired like that especially if you have some nice soup waiting. |
Mine, You have been awesome. I thank God we rose above our teething period To this haven. I can't love you enough! |
With tears in my eyes, I pray Almighty God consoles the bereaved. I have wished everything...but the crash is real! Of a truth, life is vanity...we are still here by HIS grace. |
DRUGDOC, We are human afterall...not perfect in the very least. I left FUTO in 2007 and I have fond memories of him and his wife from STACC, FUTO. No one is perfect! May God strengthen his family and others who lost someone in that tragedy.[quote author=DrugDoc]Again, I ask, did the Onwuliris know about the plan to use thugs dressed up as soldiers during the elections? Did they see or hear his Excellency bribing voters and eliminating opponents? Has the Catholic Bishop of Owerri asked them? I walk this town everyday t |
It's so painful... you won't understand this ~f u haven't lost someone close before. Even if there is one survivor, it's a BIG DIFFERENCE! Lives lost, businesses destroyed, sources of livelihood shattered... May Almighty God give all the bereaved the fortitude to bear the loss. ADieu PRofessor ONwuliri... YOu and your wife's PDA made marriage something to look fwd to. Adieu... |

This is a difficult one. I have an uncle whose burial rites has been performed cos they were informed by his friends that he died of dehydration or whatever on their trip abroad by road. But then, his twin says strongly she doesn't think he is dead cos she has dreams and feelings he doesn't want to be bothered until he hammers and returns. Sorry to derail but I'll only perform burial rites for a loved one if I can confirm his/her death beyond reports from friends. |
This is hilarious! OP u can't be serious. Lol at head tapping and medical genetics (in a country like Nigeria!). |
Candle wax. I used to chew on the thing as a child. I love the fragrance of baby products too. |
OP, u should ignore anyone who advises u finance 80% of urn wedding. That's crap! Moreover with the way the guy said it, I'm smelling issues already. I'm all for contributing but then 80% is a no no! You have two options: A - review the budget so it comes down to u splitting the expenses from 7:3 to 6:4 with him paying the larger chunk. B - Free yourselves from pressure and postpone the wedding. Like CC & others said, when married it becomes our money, not before!!! |
I am hurting. If you have ever worked very hard for something, prayed hard, cried with a broken heart, and fasted for something and you still get red lights, you know how it feels. But I know creation is not an accident, I know life and death is not coincidence, I know God still lives. I cannot forget His wonders to me of old. So I know God will heed His people. |
I have shed tears reading ur story and others. Praises be to God the king of eternal glory. I was in pain two months ago due to the loss of someone cos of this. It was her first pregnancy after 5 years of marriage...i was in grief when she and the baby didn't make it. <God bless their souls> currently, there's another person I know with this condition and I pray our Merciful God sees her through.. Pregnancy is not easy. Mine was uneventful (to the Glory of God), but then labour, no matter how short it lasts is not easy. It was the most painful experience but thank God we both came out. MAY GOD CONTINUE TO SAVE WOMEN ESPECIALLY THOSE GOING THROUGH A HIGH RISK PREGNANCY IN JESUS NAME AMEN. |
shadeprais: Available for sale.I am keen on buying the second one (mannequin with clutch). How do I reach and how much is it going for? |
These dudu osun reviews I saw made me get one. I love the squeaky clean feeling but it's given me breakouts! Maybe I should continue as someone said to have them cleared. for my face, I've been using Marykay oil control lotion formula 3 and it did keep the shine and breakouts at bay. I want a product that will go a mile further to remove the tiny blackheads that's been on my face for a loong time. I'll be trying neutrogena healthy skin with retinol & salicylic acid and see how it goes. Pls better suggestions will be appreciated. |
Wonderful thread...thanks Mad max. I've used quite a lot of products neutrogena, jergens(ultra healing), marykay, nivea, nature essence etc and still counting. I saw this thread and armed with mad max's review other rave reviews on Jergens skin smoothing, I went searching for it. You know what? 85% If not 90% of their products I found in the market were fake! How i knew? Grammatical errors! Most of them made somewhere else than the USA and some variants in the market sef are not on the company's website. I finally got lucky and must say that it's too cheap for the wonders it's doing on my skin. |
You guys shouldn't have given that re.ta.rd.ed tribalist's comment light of day. To the post, I weep for the wasted youth of these ones, I weep for their parents! May the Lord save us from such experience. |
With those kain skeletons in ur closet u dey run ur mouth abi? It's no surprise, easy virtue! you have forgotten ur issues on LLB so soon abi? Better enter ur stupid lane & start organizing ur life for once. Leave Linda out of it...una no be mate!! |
You have all killed me o! My hubby can be comfortable with 'recycling' just one set of clothes a week long before he remembers plenty others in the closet. When he gets a new item of clothing nko? He will wear the hell out of them. Lol. |
I was quite lucky! I didn't use anything at all and no SM. Though towards the last trimester I had the black hormone-induced line that runs from below the navel...but that too is gone. I won't leave it to chance again anyways. Pls who has used Palmer's cocoa butter? does it work? I want to use it with SB. |
This was a major issue in my service days in Osun state (b4 I got an apartment and settled down). I didn't quite understand the stew thingy! I Stayed clear from 'swallow' during lunch breaks and my colleagues thought I was forming. I didn't need to defend myself verbally but with properly prepared ora/uha soup shared to all & sundry during lunch. U shoulda seen the Oliver twist look on their faces...lol. The manager even sentenced me to bringing his lunch daily which I no gree do of course. Since then, respect begin flow for moi & my Akwa Ibom state corp member colleague. Lolz. |
Dear Nneka, no marriage is near perfect...it is either this or that. The problems in your home are reversible. BE PATIENT WITH HIM. Open lines of communications, try doing things differently...As hard as it May be, I'm sure it'll pay off. IMHO divorce should only be contemplated when your life is risk due to abuse. |
OP, I do pray for ur sake that u ain't a graduate as claimed. If u are one for real, woe betide my kwantry's educational system! |
