Ambode needs to tell the world he initiated this laudable projects by commissioning it. If not that he was denied a second term bid, a ticket he deserved, there wouldn’t be any need for a rush. L wouldn’t want one someone taking his accolades in his place.
The age of social media....taking pictures instead of administering first aid, where possible, to save his life. Oya, make una go sell the pictures for ‘likes’ and ‘follower-ship’ on una respective media handles..
BuhariAdvocate: I don't know why people rushing go America, after all Nigeria is better than America.you see one there asked why they don't return Visa application form fee.you think they care. Beware don't go to their Facebook they just want to throw some sweet words so people will forget the past and apply for Visa they will still denying you .its another Avenue to scam Nigerians.
Now l understand why he defected...Baba and his party has no ‘fine’ solution to resolve the crisis.
We can’t employ the traditional cattle rearing style to solve this national problem in this new age. The governor did well by switching camps, however he is a mediocre administrator when it comes to running an efficient government.
meobizy: I wonder how long she'll save her Walmart wages to buy a mansion in Nigeria.
She doesn’t need to work in Walmart all her life. Most Immigrants, especially from West Africa, always have the passion of schooling and integrating into the middle/corporate class of the American society. With this, her career/income growth is assured and dependent on her dedication and smart choices she makes in between.
Even in Walmart where the entry (basic) pay is $15/per hour, she is entitled to many benefits like quality medicals, students grants/scholarships, employee work safety, etc, which is almost not in existence for most jobs in Nigeria, except for the few big places.
l understand people have different objectives/goals, but every rational being seeks to enjoy those basic life qualities that is personally satisfying, like health, security, education, career growth, etc, which are currently in shortfall in Nigeria.
No be everybody won build mansion; l think the lady in question just want to enjoy the basic needs of life and pursue her career in a more organized clime.
Whatever punishment that goes with such crime in UAE should be delivered to them without any plea from the Nigerian government. To be frank, the FG should write to the government of UAE that they condemn such act from her citizens and in support of their constitutional actions towards the thieves.
Until we densely develop Africa, having a handful of technologically powerful and democratic black nations, blacks anywhere in the world would continue to experience overt victimization, oppression and various forms of stereotypes. The solutions lies within; we are the cause of our own problems!
MyGeneration: Some times death is too easy a way out. Life in a Nigerian prison is enough death sentence. All the evil you did would keep playing throughout your head for the 80years you remain there.
It costs tax payers’ money maintaining these animals behind bars. For any who takes away precious life he/she can’t create in a heinous way, his/hers should be taken away, period!
Even with Oby joining the coalition, they would still fail! Which of these candidates has a strong footing in the North? None! Even in the South, these guys are mostly known on media and favoured by the few enlightened (not educated) ones who wants the best for this country.
These coalition, if sustained and nutured across all regions, would make an impact in 2023, not now
Abagworo: One step at a time. If Uche Nwosu succeeds Okorocha and continues undeterred in the next 5 to 10 years we should be talking about Singapore type of development because he hired international experts from Singapore that drew the map and procedure of what he is doing in Imo modeled after Singapore of 1965. His problem has been lack of funds which slowed down execution but it's obvious that Imo is heading in right direction.
Well being non-partisan, I hope the votes genuinely reflects the will of the people.
My best wishes for the people of Imo state and the incoming governor!
Abagworo: That's a 9 storey recently built hotel. So many of such buildings are at finishing stage within New Owerri axis. Ihedioha abandoned his own at 7th floor.
There’s an urgent need for an active industrial sector to support the flourishing hospitality hub in Imo. If this is not forthcoming, the state should narrow her activity in health, IT and petro-chemicals
Afam4eva: Here's a video footage i took while driving around Enugu town. I have a couple of them but some turned out not too good. However, i will also be uploading part 2 of the video. I also have a brief video of University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus.
Cars/buses parked indiscriminately and sands/scattered debris on roadsides smear a city. The government can generate quite a good sum from penalities from offenders, you know. The city is catching up, but more needs to be done to promote orderliness, ambience and sanity. I support a green city, too.
arinzeejikonye: ARIARIA INDEPENDENT ELECTRICITY DISTRIBUTION POWER PLANT SOON TO BE LAUNCHED
Abia State Governemnt in partnership with Rural Electrification Agency of the Federal Government is implementing an independent gas fired power supply project to major markets in Abia State beginning with the Ariaria International Market and it's environs. The project is one of the fruits of Governor Ikpeazu's economic diplomatic engagements with the office of the Vice president. Prof Yemi Osinbajo SAN GCON after the maiden edition of the Nationwide MSME Clinic which debuted in Abia and subsequent visit to the Villa by the Governor and the leadership of Aba Business Community promised to support the efforts of Governor Ikpeazu to drive massive industrial and economic growth in Abia State particularly Aba, being the MSME hub of the country. It was in the meeting that the deal was struck that the state Governemnt will work with the agency in charge of rural electrification to power centres of production in Aba starting with the Ariaria International Market. This was followed up with a visit by the team from REA led by the MD Mrs Damilola Ogunbiyi to the Governor and Ariaria with the engineering company Total Energy Ltd. The State Governemnt has severally engaged the leadership of the market and relevant stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of the project.
It will be recalled that during his last visit to Abia State, the Vice President Prof Yemi Osinbajo inspected the extent of work at the site witnessing the pilot phase that has provided about 1000 shops with uninterrupted power supply for over 10 months. On a regularly basis the Governor has continued to engage with REA, market leadership and other relevant stakeholders to deliver the project.
Biodun556: You can make your findings. In many countries and in most cases, especially in the western world, if someone admit to have breach the rules and resigned he/she will not be prosecuted as a compensation for admitting the crime.
Which of the western countries? Bros, do not bring a twist to due process!
It's honorary to resign from a public office if one feels he/she has done something wrong; however, it does not serve as a penance for such wrong doing.
BakireBulmaker: Really Thought they were in the exclusive list. Honestly, Ondo state is blessed. They can do without federal allocation if given a free hand.
That’s why we should all support a ‘restructured system’ in that thought!
Nigeria is not riped for an electoral process based on competency: tribal, religion and bias cloud the choices of the electorates- educated and uneducated alike. This has informed why major preference has been skewed between two major candidates for the No. 1 job, even when we have better candidates from other parties jostling for same job.........I think we deserve the kind of leadership we have right now.
And to my Eastern brothers who wish to see one of their own as the No. 1 citizen in 2023, this is the time to form a strategic re-union with other parts of the country, for power is not given, it’s taken. Judging from the looks of things, it’s almost clear who would win the next presidential election in this projected rigged and bias electoral system, so I advise you associate yourself with them. You can only change this ‘Nigerian Electoral System’ from the inside.
