Jobs/VacanciesRe: I Need Your Advice by akumbu: 11:15am On Oct 30, 2007
@poster,
why are you holding onto the bank job as if it is the best thing that can happen to you. you are a computer science graduate depending on bank for career advancement, my brother you really don't know where your expertise are needed.
why must you look for a bank for your NYSC? that shows u are just desperate to remain where you are.
If you don't want to leave the bank then forget service and grow your career there in the bank, get the exemption letter after 2yrs.
as for me, i think the NYSC is a waste of one whole year, forget about it and think of your future which you have chosen to develop in the banking field.
Best of Luck.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Why Do We Look For Jobs by akumbu: 3:15pm On Oct 29, 2007
sala yusuf:
hi everyone, please can someone tell me why i can get a job,its hard for me b/because i have a 3rd class .please help
Hmmmmmmmmmmm, depends on if you ve been looking at the right direction. But a lot of people have suggestions for u.
katramodel:
dear safa,
you can really be a third class gradute but still ahve some qualities that migth be real good for most companies,if you think you can work for a modelling firm i think you better do send your cv to katramodelling@mail2world.com.
Means she cannot use her brain, not good enough
mankevo:
wink HI 'LANDERS,

Honestly if u have 3rd class in Nigeria, its better 2 start your own business and /or take up any job and make your landmark there, then u can proudly look out for the BIGGER connected JOB.

One love from LAG kiss kiss
nice suggestion
o_oe:
The moment you put the idea of third class off your mind will be the begining of your success. What degree has the richest man in the world?
Advice: Forget about job and degree for a month and look inside of you for those potentials that can support other peoples needs, look around you for possible resources to start up something, no matter how small and take action.
Hint: You will encounter two enemies "pride" and "procrastination", if you can conquer both of them, see you at the top.
Remember: Nothing good comes easy.
well spoken

@ poster, u ve heard id all.
If you are thinking towards all the good suggestions above, then so many of us can be of help in suggesting different kinds of business u can go into, some of the business will require you to save the money wasted on browsing for jobs and attending bank interviews.
let the house know when u make up your mind to look at the right direction and xpect good business ideas and plans from us.

RomanceRe: Is There A Difference B/w Toasting A Girl And Asking Her Out? by akumbu: 2:06pm On Oct 26, 2007
a lot of people don't really know the difference. most guys has poor toasting skills and end up messing up the whole show.
RomanceRe: Is There A Difference B/w Toasting A Girl And Asking Her Out? by akumbu: 2:01pm On Oct 26, 2007
Toasting, asking out and dating are all levels in a relationship.
although sometimes not all may take place, one, or even two or sometimes the 3 can come into play.
You toast a girl at first meeting, knowing her name and probably looking out for things that may interest you at first sight.
you can buy her things, take her to drink with u and even walk her home. exchange phone numbers and all that, if she is interested in you.
then the next stage may be to ask her out, that is to declare you are interested in knowing more about her and all that, of course if she is interested and agrees, then you people will start dating. at this point, you are no longer her toaster but her Boyfriend .
most times dating leads to serious commitment 'courtship' and even engagement, when you now become fiancee and finally God's willing you tie the knots.
I think that's how it works.
Though not all these stages occur in all relationships like i said earlier.
Girls can make jest of their toasters, Guys, be careful first impression matters, but when you ask a girl out 'will you be my friend?' then she becomes serious cos it can lead to something like serious. then both of you will start going out to discover more about yourselves and enjoy life together.
girls don't discuss people they are dating the same way they discuss their toasters.
a lot of girls don't take toasters seriously, but asking a girl out means you want something more that just playing around with her.
RomanceRe: 29 Yr Old Virgin by akumbu: 11:34am On Oct 26, 2007
we know God spoke in parable.
God's teaching about sexuality includes; no smooching, kissing or even sexual expressions of any kind. Not just the actual sex. "for anyone who looks at a woman/man lustfully has already committed fornication with her/him" that was the scripture.
so to be a virgin on biblical terms 'if you are respecting and obeying God's command' since that is the only reason why u have not had sex with a man, you ought to have also avoided getting sexually close to a man.
so I think you were just respecting your wish not GOD.
to me that is not Virginity; period.
I am sure a lot of men would prefer someone that is experienced for sexual satisfaction.
I still wish you get someone that will satisfy your wish all the same.
Bolddy:
I hope more people will testify to this reality, to give hope to those in need.
The truth must be told .
so what's your point?
Joey82:
@poster,
I hold ladies like u in high esteem, keep it up dear, God'll not fail u and u'll soon find a man of your choice ready to respect your wishes.
u're indeed the pride of d African woman wink
people like u will run after other women when u marry the inexperienced ones, complaining of sexual dissatisfactions
Bolddy:
i believe we still have people like you out there.it gives me joy and makes me so happy, doing what seems difficult at 29

NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR THOSE WHO BELIEVE

This is your worth and value.
really? but has done the less difficult ones? kissing,
kosikosi:
we were 3 friends, from high sch,
we made up our minds to be virgins till we got married,
one got married t 29, the other at 30 , the last will soon at 31,
it was not easy, but u can do it,
we did the kissing, smooching thinggy, got into trouble sha, but never fell through,
a good man will come along , keep your head up,
so proud of u
and you and you and your friends still call your selves virgins? you were/are deceiving yourselves not God. cos God never said kissing, smooching and all that are allowd for a virgin.

EducationRe: Admissions in Tansian University Umunya by akumbu: 12:22pm On Oct 23, 2007
do u go to school just to get certificate that will be recognised?
that's a wrong attitude to education.
The most important thing is to check what the school has got in terms of infrastructure and all equipment for learning including manpower. then once it is accredited by the relevant body or authority, that's all.
Then affordability depends on the student.

BusinessRe: N100,000 Support For A New And A Genuine Business Plan by akumbu: 2:48pm On Oct 09, 2007
i hv 3 good and solid business plans. But the amount u pple are willing to invest will not even take care of the initialization process.
I need abot 4M to start, then more money but with 70% profit withing the first half of the yr, of lunch.
I wont disclose all the details to anyone, cos i ve done that in the past and found the person mess up with the business idea whereby the investor in question gave the loan to the brother that murdered the business cos of lack of tehcnical know-how.
If u hv upto the amount i need, then reach me on : akumbu24@yahoo.com for all other details on how we can arrange for a meeting to discuss the best way forward.
I appreciate pple with good intentions to help others as Nigerian Banks are not serving the purpose, the only thing they know is for u to open two accounts and win one free.
Waiting for ur reply.

HealthRe: Grey Hair - Your Opinion On This! by akumbu: 3:25pm On Oct 03, 2007
there is no health related or malfuctioning issue to gray hai. it is heredictory. some pple have it occur in their generation up to 4th or even 5th generation occurance. it doesn't mean evryone in that generation will have it, some pple will inherit, while others may not.
why border urself to control it when it doesn't give one any illhealth?
i really admire grey hair a lot.
it has a little to do with age. pple that inherit it may find appearing even at very early stage in life, or some much later at odl age.
I love grey hair, but unfortunatly, we dont have it at all in our generation from both maternal and paternal generation.
dont border urself if u hv it, thousands of pple are longing to chane their hair colour, natural BLONDE.

HealthRe: How To Combat Pimples? by akumbu(op): 3:02pm On Sep 28, 2007
@Ufobabe,
Thanks for ur suggestion. I ve tested my skin, I am fair in complexion wish an Oily Skin especially my face. I always avoid oily foods, oily soap or cream.
I am using Fair and white (so white, pink color pack) soap and Clear essence as body cream, but I ve never applied cream on my face, and I apply cream only in the morning.

@all
Do u think that this my soap and cream combination is o.k?
Or is there anybody in the house to recommend a good soap and matching body cream for me even Powder color?

Good suggestions will be accepted. Remember, Oily Skin and fair complexioned.
Cost is not an issue.
Thank you all for ur nice contributions.
HealthRe: How To Combat Pimples? by akumbu(op): 1:04pm On Sep 28, 2007
I am very greatful to everyone that has contribute. This is really brotherly Love. Nigeria is good ohh!
I have started all the therapy suggested in forum beginning with:
1. Drinking too much water, whether I an thirsty or not.
2. Eating more of fruits and vegetable.
3. visiting nairaland to ease off the stress
4. washing my face at least twice a day with cold water and mild soap
5. not applying any cream on my face, only white powder when i am going out.
6. No heavy make-up
7. trying to smile even when there is no need for that.
8. having enough rest and sleep.
9. resisting to plug or press my face all the time
10. looking up my face on the mirror every 5mins for improvement.

I am scared of trying the following: using Sperm, urine, saliva, regular sex, cleanser and toner. Please, has anyone in the house tried those ones? pls tell me if they really work.
I think I should stick to the above 10 steps for now.

I am even surprised that guys in the house knows the solutions, even Seun.

Thank you all. U all are wonderful.
promise to get back when the pimples have disappeared or relocated to desert.
