The Buhari administration is working out how to ensure that government’s planning and budgeting for 2016 caters for the vast majority of Nigerians especially the over 110 million extremely poor, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has said.
Mr. Osinbajo made the comment Friday in Abuja while meeting with a delegation from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation who paid him a courtesy call in his office, a statement by his spokesperson, Laolu Akande said.
According to the Vice President, the Buhari administration enjoyed the electoral support of many poor Nigerians who invested their hope in the new government.
He added that the Buhari presidency would deliver on its promises including the social investment programmes such as the Conditional Cash Transfer and the School Feeding Plan.
The vice president, according to Mr. Akande, also received the Ambassador of South Korea, Noh Kyu-duk.
The duo discussed how Nigeria and South Korea could deepen their diplomatic relationships, especially in the area of economic cooperation.

The delegation from the Gates Foundation was led by Dr. Mairo Mandara, the Country Representative in Nigeria, Mr. Akande said.

Two days after one of his media assistant, Opunabo Nko-Tariah discharged an announcement portraying the invalidation of his April eleventh decision as a judicial gangup against him, Rivers state senator, Nyesom Wike has separated himself from Nko-Tariah's remarks.

Talking at a meeting with Rivers state Stakeholders containing serving congresspersons, House of Reps individuals, Traditional rulers and others at the administration house in Port Harcourt yesterday, Wike said he has trust in the legal and that he never sent any of his associates to affront the legal

We are not one of those when judgment favours you, you says you have confidence in the judiciary. When it does not favour you, you lose confidence in the judiciary. I want to say in the past two days, you must have read where they quoted me as saying judicial terrorism or judicial gang-up, I never said so. And I never authorised anybody to say so on this matter"he said.

The senate is expected to confirm the ministerial nomination of former Rivers state governor Rotimi Amaechi and 17 other nominees today October 28th. The senate concluded the screening of the ministerial nominees yesterday October 28th.

Meanwhile there are reports that the PDP caucus in the senate have vowed to withdraw their support for senate president Bukola Sraki if he allows Rotimi Amaechi to be confirmed as Minister.

First of all,let it be known that any igbo speaking land in Nigeria is an igbo land and there fore a part of biafra.take note of the word land and not state,so that if the people of rivers state decides not to be part of biafra we would leave them to their fate,but take our igbo speaking territories in rivers state.the same goes for delta state ,clearly anioma is igbo speaking and in fact no igbo man can claim to be more igbo than the anioma people. if the itsekiri, ijaws n urhobos decide to be on their own no one would force them ,in fact the igbos would gladly let them be.

THE ISSUE WITH OIL.
It really baffles me when people like to connect the agitation for biafra with oil.it is a fact today that the most developed countries of today are not oil producing countries. the igbos are scientific people they are tribe blessed with knowledge,this is a known fact all over the world and as u Nigerians will attest to they are the movers of every region in Nigeria .they are very creative,industrious and enterprising.they do not need OIL to excel. the Americans Japanese,Chinese,Britain Israel France Germany etc,are where they are today not because of oil but for their creativity and industrial capacity,while countries like Iran,Iraq,Afghanistan,Venezuela etc wallow in poverty.
Another important issue I would like to point out is the issue of who goes where if Nigeria divides(south south to be specific).
It is funny how some myopic people think that
The people of the south south are one or can form a unity that can be referred to as a country.
Funny more is how anyone would think that the people of crossriver and akwaibom would rather be with the ijaws and ogonis urhobo etc than the igbos.
The igbos are far more closer to the akwaibom n crossriver people than the rivers,bayelsa people.
These (akwaibom& crossriver)are the only people that the igbos would lose sleep over if for any reason they decide not to be part of the great biafra cos they have shown and proven that they can be trusted unlike the bayelsa n the riverine people.fortunately for us majority of them are ,I mean more than 85% of them are fully embedded and committed to the biafran cause.
So to hell with any tribe who wishes to be left out of the moving train.
And for what it's worth there is abundant ,untapped amount of oil in the current south eastern states.imo ,anambra.abia n even ebonyi have oil in abundance.only the federal government of Nigeria have refused to harness n explore the south east region cos of their deliberate marginalization of the region.although this may turn out to be a blessing in disguise when biafra finally arrives.
