Human first, then Christian....

I will never condone these acts but before we throw the first stone, we should realize that at the long run, we are humans first. Like any other human, if we fail to pay attention to our feelings and control it, we will find ourselves in similar situations regardless of our spiritual standing.

He who think he stands should beware lest he falls
Christianity EtcWhat Are The Muslims Scared Of? by Akwasi(op): 11:13am On Jun 16, 2017
I mostly see muslims comment on Christian topics without any issue. However you need to be tagged with some horrendous words when you need to comment on their thread.

Does it not just go to prove the impression that most muslims are intolerant and display of inferiority complex? I just saw a thread on front page about muslims beating their wives and wanted to comment. Well I was informed I will be tagged with something that I dont believe in so I declined.

My take on that submission is this:

If the Op thinks that part of the quran was misinterpreted, then which other parts of the quran were also misinterpreted?

African footballers playing in the sub sahara are treated like slaves. They are just given peanuts just to keep them from starving yet they are expected to perform like well fed cows.

When are we ever going to put people above selfish ambitions?
CelebritiesRe: Ini Edo Stuns In Black Dress by Akwasi(m): 10:32am On May 19, 2017
I wonder what these female celebrities sell.

They are quick to quit their marriages and seem to enjoy the singleness that come afterwards.

My question is this:

What are they selling?
HealthRe: Panic Attacks : All You Need To Know by Akwasi(m): 6:50am On May 19, 2017
Panic attack can lead to suicide. If the person is alone, the attack can influence the person's sense of judgement.

We should do well and help those we know that have such a problem. We should also open up to our families if we believe we have panic attacks

This is disgraceful. These senators are gradually becoming very powerful and its bad for democracy.

They succeeded in somehow shutting up efcc, now they are after the presidency.

This is turning out to be a blackmailing cabal and Nigeria will be the eventual loser

I think there is one obvious one the op missed. When the fan ceases, the engine will overheat.

My car nearly caught fire because my fan has ceased.

Don't overlook that fan during your routine checks before moving the car.
PoliticsRe: Nigerians Are Not Treated Well In Any Country: Including In Nigeria by Akwasi(m): 1:02pm On Mar 29, 2017
Let me tell you why with my own experience.

As the only black guy staying in a five star hotel in the middle of Mumbai was very difficult. Not that I felt intimated but because the guys made me feel different with those stealing glances and annoying courtesies.

One morning as I moved down the elevator to the restaurant for my breakfast, I saw a fellow black standing in the food queue. That was the first black I have seen since I lodged at the hotel some six days prior.

I instintively moved to that part of the queue and started up a chat. It turned out he was a Nigerian. Nigerians are the closest to us Ghanaians anywhere in the world. Well we talked about a lot of things including nairaland.

Out of nowhere, my friend just blurted out and started insulting all the white and Hispanic guys around. I tried calming him down but he told me he has to tell them his mind for how they behaved towards him when he first came to the restaurant. I asked him what they did and it was that stare.

I believe that Nigerians are overly reactive and always wants to get things off their chest. Its good because it makes you feel good. However that same attitude makes a lot of enemies for you and if you are in a foreign land, it can get worse.

That is my take on the subject.

Words fail me at this time. I agree that ladies can be very irritating sometimes but beating them is animalistic.

Here is why....

GOD gave you the brute strength because HE asked you to till the LAND with it. Using it to beat your wife is cowardly and exercise in futility. That's not why you were given the muscles.

Christianity EtcRe: The First Day I Audibly Heard From God! by Akwasi(m): 3:29pm On Mar 05, 2017
I perfectly know what you are talking about....

Mine happened in 2012 one very hot afternoon. I was passing by a very tiny shop. I fact the shop was nearly empty and I would not have taken notice of it but for the fact that the owner was reading a Bible.

I greeted her as I intended to pass. Well, I remembered I needed a PK to keep my mouth fresh as I had just taken my lunch. I decided to buy from her since she was reading a Bible(that was the only reason why I decided to buy from her).

Unfortunately however, she was not having the minty blue one. She was having the traditional yellow wrapper one. Too bad she doesn't have what I need. I will have to buy from another place. That's when it happened.

As clear as a friend talking to me, I heard the gentliest of voices very audibly tell me "Buy it".

I quickly turned to see who it was. I just smiled because nobody was standing behind me to have made that comment.

I went to the woman, told her GOD wants ne to buy the PK although its not my preference. She smiled and gave me the PK. I paid her and asked her to keep the change.

What happened just blew me away! When I opened the PK, instead of the usual white colored gum that I just bought, I rather found a blue colored PK inside the yellow wrapper! Instantly I began to cry. This doesn't happen often and I was overwhelmed that of all the people in the world, it was me that GOD chose to reveal HIMSELF to.

I turned one more time and waved the woman. I didn't bother to go back to tell her what happened because I already knew she had a faith bigger than mine.

So yes GOD still speaks and reveals HIMSELF!

This is what happens when society forces people to do things.

I still don't know why people expect to be refreshed with food whenever they attend a ceremony. I thought those things were for people who have come from afar and may not have eaten.
