Dansuqi:Well, I think (or at least I hope) he has learned his lesson. Recent history had shown that Aketi is very weak without support from other APC structures in Ondo. That was why Buhari lost the state last year. He had polarized the party in the state and even sponsored candidates on other platforms against APC in the state, and all of those candidates lost to both the APC and PDP (his sponsored candidate for the senate for the Ondo North senatorial slot under another party lost to Ajayi Boroffice of the APC, while the remaining two senatorial districts went to the PDP). And to crown it all Buhari lost to Atiku in the state. That embarrassing scenario really humbled him into realizing that he just doesn't have the clout to go it alone in the state. Like I said, I think he learned his lesson. I doubt he would succeed in imposing a successor without the input of other party stakeholders. If he tries it APC would definitely lose the state. |
MikoB:You are correct. Aketi desperately needed a united APC to win this election. And I commend his wisdom for putting ego aside to make peace with the Unity Forum faction of the party in the state. Tinubu was the real brain behind that rapproachment and reconciliation because most of the unity Forum Chieftains are Tinubu loyalists (from Olusola Oke, to Segun Abraham, to Kekemeke, to Boroffice). And Aketi showed his appreciation by inviting him to commission the Ondo Internal Revenue building. |
Who knows, he might get lucky and become another 'Supreme Court governor' like Diri of Bayelsa and Uzodima of Imo dem. |
Awoo88:Right. If a court judgement favours PDP then it's all good and you consider it 'justice', but if na APC e favour then something must be wrong somewhere. Smh. You are not ok at all. Some of you are so biased that it has affected your ability to think straight even when it comes to simple matters. Na una sabi. |
TheRealProphet:Which election? You better not be referring to the last Bayelsa governorship election because only an ignoramus would say such. How APC wan manage to rig election in a PDP state/stronghold like Bayelsa, with a sitting PDP governor? Are you sure you are not drunk this early morning? |
TheRealProphet:But Bayelsa is currently being ruled by a 'Supreme Court governor' after APC clearly won the election. |
striker07:Wake up how? By voting PDP abi? Una dey crase. Enemies of progress. |
Cutiekatty:And who or what is stopping you from moving to Gombe since you feel it is better than Lagos? Una dey crase. The only reason you people speak ill of Lagos and refuse to acknowledge its development is just because you want your accursed PDP to come and infect it with its madness. If na PDP government dey hungry you, pack and go live in a PDP-governed state. |
frankyychiji:Is that how much you hate Laycon, that you are mistaking Ozo for him?? Ozo was the one that was presented the 9m watch. Smh. Hatred can kill as fast sniper o. Take it easy, OK?? |
Goke7:You even have time answering that bitter lemon. They will never see anything good in Lagos yet they want to die there. To them it was the military alone that built all the bridges, flyovers, and other infrastructures in Lagos of today, while the state governors since '99 haven't done anything. The Lekki/Epe expressway, Ambode's flyovers, Oshodi terminal, Tinubu/Fashola bridges, flyovers, BRT scheme, Eko Atlantic, were all built by the military. Very useless set of people. |
This frontal attack against Bode George's leadership of Lagos PDP by Ayo Fayose shows that there's a serious crack in the SW PDP. Bode George is in Seyi Makinde's camp, while most of the SW party chairmen are in Fayose's camp. This also shows that the PDP candidate in the upcoming Lagos senatorial election may not have Bode George's endorsement. Even the Lagos PDP is divided; one camp is loyal to Bode George and a factional chairman, while another is loyal to another faction that has Uche Secondus endorsement. In short, Lagos PDP isn't ready. |
Wow Op, I hope you feel better now after getting all that off your chest? Now that we are informed about how super igbo people are compared to the the rest of us, what next ![]() |
ednut1:Must you rope Tinubu into every issue? How is Reno (a confam Tinubu-hater) connected to Tinubu in this instance? Is Tinubu the cause of your problems in life? Abi na him say make you no progress in life? Na wah for you o, guy. |
nosiebaba:Ibos can't relate with what black Americans are going through with respect to police brutality because they share Donald Trump's racist ideology (they are Donald Trump's biggest sympathisers outside America's redneck belt). Now one can understand why that is so. It's because many of them grew up being taught to look down on their fellow ibos as Osu sub-humans. Smh. |
Seriously, ibo people need to stop this nonsense and archaic practise immediately. If they can be treating their own fellow ibos like this, then what hope is there for a complete non-ibo stranger in their midst? Those ibos being discriminated against had better leave such backward society and go elsewhere, else they will hardly progress. Could this senseless discrimination be the reason why their society is still the most homogeneous and seen as the most hostile towards strangers in Southern Nigeria? One hardly hears of strangers progressing in iboland the way ibos are allowed to in other societies. All you Ibo people still practicing this nonsense should stop it. It's not fair!!! Tufiakwa. |
PDP shouldn't even worry. Wike the wicked will match whatever amount Lagos brings into the ring. Lol. |
Hiss. This Kanu no even get sense one bit. If truly he has that many willing sacrificial lambs, those kamikazi zombies are better off alive than dead. He can turn them into political weapons to first of all achieve political Biafra within the SouthEast, by getting them to become registered voters, then sponsoring pro-Biafra candidates to contest and win elections at all levels in Igboland. With such dominance of the political space in igboland, Biafra would be much closer to being achieved than him advocating for more people to die like chickens for nothing while he remains in the comfort of exile. I repeat that Kanu no get sense at all at all. Smh. |
Eiya. Ndo. India is not a country to go and hustle. Na frustration go finish una (Indians are very racist), unless una begin drug trafficking, which is even worse. I hope they get help. |
Trump don begin witch hunt Air Peace. |
Who ask you? Ta lo bie lejo? This primate or whatever he calls himself is such an attention seeker. |
Nigerian tribes and their obsession with being considered 'jews'. Inferiority complex. |
Wike may just have to dash the labour leaders some range rovers to get them to fall in line. After all it worked for Rivers judges. ![]() |
Ibo PDP leaders are the biggest and most shameless cowards in Nigeria's political history. At least OUK who is in APC is showing interest, even if he may not even stand a chance he is still showing interest. That is guts. Yet PDP leaders that should have more guts are not even saying anything, they are behaving like slaves. Na only mouth to abuse Buhari dem get. They are a big disgrace to all the PDP-worshipping ibo people everywhere. I suspect ibo PDP leaders are already setting traps for each other over who will be Atiku's next VP. Even Nnamdi Kanu must be ashamed of them in secret. Smh. |
Hello Orji Kalu, but we are already in the 21st century. Are you saying you will take us backward with this your '20th century' misyarn if elected president Jeez. Dude is ignorant as fcvck! |
The rate at which mad people are multiplying in Anambra is alarming. I find this development very fishy. Something must be wrong somewhere. |
He is probably a Trump supporter. Imagine o, they said he fired 40 shots at police yet they arrested him alive. If na blackman, even appearing with a gun alone would have been enough reason for them to pump 100+ bullets in him. America is so overrated. Spits! ![]() |
He is a child of grace and favor. Star boy/Omo Ologo. |
Ojiofor:Yimu. You are obviously a hired Bode George boy-boy/mercenary. Ona go wail tire. Nothing for Bode George in Lagos. Any ibo person that is not satisfied with the way Yorubas run things in Lagos should vex and catch the next bus back to AlaIgbo, and y'all can even take Bode George with ona. ![]() |
Ojiofor:For the last time, omo yieibo face AlaIgbo. You are NOT and can never be a mouthpiece for Lagos indigenes. Iwo omo atohunrinwa lasan lasan. There's a reason why the Bode George you are referring to has remained (and will continue to remain) in political wilderness in Lagos state throughout his political history. It is simply because he is playing politics of division that he most likely learned from fraternizing with you lots. He is reputed for trying to whip up sentiments and seeking ibo political support (after repeated rejections by the majorly Awori and Ijebu native grassroots in the state) in his failed attempt to seize power in Lagos, but he is a joker because like I said earlier, the larger Yoruba race would never allow you greedy and divisive elements with land-grabbing ambitions the luxury of annexing Lagos through the nefarious activities of the likes of George. Forget it, it will never happen. Minorities will always have their say while the majority have their way. Go back and tell Bode George that his plan of ceding Lagos to land-grabbing non-Yorubas will always fail. |
Ojiofor:Gosh! Why are you ibos such hypocrites?? Now you don change tone begin deploy divide and rule tactics? After trying to make a case for ibos being allowed to enjoy same privileges as natives in yorubaland and elsewhere, you are now trying to separate 'Eko' from the rest of Yorubaland. Again I ask, why are you ibos like this? Why?? It's the same tactics una employ by coining the 'Yoruba muslim' crap. Always trying to divide people. Smh. Just because Anambra Catholics refuse to be headed by a fellow ibo priest simply because he hails from Imo doesn't mean Yorubas have to toe the same path, guy. If yorubas and others (including the Canadians), are to toe the path you are suggesting, the ibos you are celebrating for getting appointments in other lands won't even stand a chance. You people are just too clannish. If you are expecting Yorubas to adopt that clannish worldview in the way they relate with one another in yorubaland, just perish the thought. FYI, Lagos is the commonwealth of the Yorubas, hence it is not by mistake that it is under the SW. If Nigeria ceases to exist tomorrow, you and your blodas would head back to Onitsha and claim your new country's passport. Lagos will always be under the protection of the larger Yoruba nation from vultures like you lots, because it is our most strategic piece of real estate that can't be allowed to fall into the hands of dreamers with land grabbing ambitions. #Fact. So you had better get used to the fact that its affairs would always be steered and influenced by Yorubas from both within and outside the state. I don't expect you to understand this point because you are ibo. We operate on different wavelengths. |
Ojiofor:You cannot rewrite history guy. You people are ingrates. Lagos is yoruba territory, and it was under the same Tinubu that igbos were first made cabinet members with influential portfolios, his successors also continued the trend. I am yet to hear other ethnicities in Lagos lament and go on blackmail fits about not being given political appointments in Lagos. Are ibos the only non-natives in Lagos?? The current representative of Oshodi-Isolo constituency at the Lagos State House of Assembly, Jude Emeka Idimogu, is ibo, originally from Imo state. There are ibo councillors all across Lagos today. But like I said before, ibos are a very funny set of people. Unless you guys are allowed to completely dominate the political/economic landscape of wherever you find yourselves, you will always find one reason or another to cry foul and claim marginalisation. But sorry, it is only in iboland you will ever have that level of dominance and absolute control. You guys are not the only non-Yorubas in the SW. Besides, maybe you all should also lead by example by creating an enabling environment for the non-natives in your midsts in iboland to also succeed. I mean, let others see examples of non-ibo success stories in iboland for a change. You guys are given the freedom to thrive in other people's lands (like the Canadians and Yorubas have exemplified), but one hardly hears of success stories of non-ibos in iboland. It's about time iboland is opened up so that other non-ibos can also prosper in your midst for a change. Become givers for a change, and not just takers. |
