My point from the very beginning has been that igbos are not responsible for 'about half' of the IGR generated by Lagos like your fellow ipob claimed on the fist page of this thread (no single evidence supports that claim), simply because una region is one of the worst performing regions in terms of revenue generation and collection in the entire country. You can't be performing woefully in your own region and then turn around and claim credit for the sterling performance of other regions.

If they relocate back to South-South, hope you know what that will do to Lago IGR? Now if another Seaport, the size of Lagos port is created in South-South, hope you know what that will do to Lagos IGR?

A lot of people are in Lagos because of the number of companies there and Lagos is the major booster of South West IGR. If any of those big companies move out, IGR will drop. All Nigerian banks have their HQ in Lagos, nowhere else. All Oil Companies have their HQ in Lagos.

My point is a lot of opportunities are concentrated in Lagos and not evenly distributed...

You igbos are pathetic. You never accept responsibility for your shortcomings and failures. Always blaming external factors. If it's not lack of seaports, it'll be marginalization, or other crap. There are states that don't have Onitsha and Aba-type markets in Nigeria that are doing better than your states in both IGR and VAT generation and collection. Yet you people still try to claim the sweat of the states that are proactive in their internal revenue generation efforts. Una dey ment.

The seaports excuse has long been proven over and over to be a blatant lie. There are functional seaports in Rivers State that you people can use but you choose not to use them, yet you blame others for your economic underperformance.

Look inwards and ask yourself whether your governors are the ones eating/stealing your IGR and VAT taxes and failing to declare them transparently, or whether your traders just don't like paying taxes, instead of always looking to blame outsiders for your own underperformance. Y'all make me sick.

Akuko. I don't give a fvck where you're from, though I suspect you are igbo because it is them that make such spurious claims. More than half of Lagos IGR are gotten from paye taxes (pay-as-you-earn workers in especially the civil service and the organized private sector, not some traders that evade more taxes than they pay. In Rivers State, their IGR mostly comes from the oil and gas sector domiciled within the state) so it is blatant falsehood to attribute the bulk of Lagos IGR to igbos who actually leech more than they contribute to the state.

And hear this. The top 5 states collecting the highest VAT are Lagos, FCT, Rivers, Kano, and Kaduna. No single SE state features on that list. Do Kaduna and Kano have seaports? Upon say you people have big markets in igboland, una still no dey collect VAT wey make sense. IGR una no fit collect, VAT sef una still no show. Yet una wan claim credit for other people's efforts. Una dey ment.

Don't mind them bad belle people. Tinubu will never do right in their sight. Osinbajo is VP today as a result of the same Tinubu's magnanimity. They want nothing more than to pit both men against each other. If Osinbajo would emerge as the next president tomorrow, it won't happen without Tinubu's support. When they praise Osinbajo, they deliberately hide Tinubu's role in his emergence. Yet, in their twisted minds, Tinubu has no right to nurse an ambition for the presidency.

Whatever his decision, they will still mock, deride, and demonize him regardless. IMO, Tinubu is free to aspire for the presidency, and he doesn't owe Osinbajo or anyone any allegiance. His enemies won't stop hating him regardless of his decision either way, so he should follow his conscience and Bleep their opinions. If Osinbajo too cannot support Tinubu's aspiration after all he has done for him, why should Tinubu too give up his own ambition for him?

Omo, Monarca na bad ass series. Was sceptical about it initially but mehn, I am left impressed. Season 3 go rugged. If Ana Maria and Andres think they would have it easy getting Joaquin to relinquish Monarca, e go shock dem. If anything, Joaquin would be more motivated and determined to hold on to the company upon learning about the history between his real father and Fausto. Who knows if he already knows the history sef, and is merely trying to claim what he considers to be rightfully his? Maybe las las none of them will get the company.

They can try but won't succeed. Ondo and Ekiti are two states that have similar political temperament. Fayemi himself is superintending a divided/factionalized APC in Ekiti. All those in the other APC faction in Ekiti were critical to his reelection success. Infact, when he tried to have those in the other faction suspended in their various wards, their ward chairmen vehemently resisted the move. If Fayemi should succeed in presenting an unpopular candidate as successor, PDP would take back the state because other APC structures would work against their party. Ditto Aketi/Ondo
