Bomave:I tire bro. If no be for love of money, that kind name alone is enough to chase women away from such a man. @wisemum: I believe you and the dad have done your possible best in being reasonable parents to your son under the circumstance, but now it's time for some tough love. Give him an ultimatum. It's either he stops bringing the girl to sleep over, or he gets his own place. But all that nonsense under your roof needs to stop forthwith. If he feels he's old enough to behave the way he's doing, then he should be man enough to get his own place so he can exercise all that freedom, but not under your roof. Shikena. |
chinasaekpere:I think this would be the best thing for you to do under the present circumstances. It can be for a short duration. That's because you've demonstrated that you don't have the will power to say no to them (even at your own financial detriment) whenever they approach you for money. And believe me when I say they'll still be fine without you. They'll find other ways to solve their financial challenges without your input; you'll be surprised. It's time you get out of the picture to focus on your own life. You've tried. That decision might actually do them some good as well. Perhaps they'll become more financially disciplined. All the best. |
jesmond3945:Oga, vote for your choice and let me vote for mine. In fact, if Tinubu runs, don't vote for him, Ok? Vote your conscience and allow others to also vote their choice. Nobody will beat or kill you. But I will not be intimidated to vote for who you prefer against my own choice. Never! Now can you stop spamming my mention?? Thank you. |
VitalRock:Correct. Sorry for the typo in my earlier post. I meant to type 'money' instead of 'lonely'. |
jesmond3945:Bro, your opinion is duly noted. But it remains an opinion, and everyone will have an opinion irrespective of how true or false it may be. But speaking of patriotism, many like myself will argue that Tinubu is even more patriotic than Peter Obi will ever be, because he has uplifted a lot of igbos and other Nigerians through his political influence till date. What makes Peter Obi more patriotic than Tinubu? Peter Obi has shown sympathy for ipob, a secessionist sect that wants to break up Nigeria. There's nothing patriotic about that. Tinubu is more likely to solve difficult issues with other tribes than Peter Obi because he is a quintessential detribalized Nigerian who has had experience working with politicians from other parts of Nigeria (remember he gave Atiku a platform to run for presidency under ACN when Obasanjo pushed him out of PDP. He did same for Nuhu Ribadu by letting him run for presidency under ACN. Chris Ngige from Anambra also won Senate seat in his Anambra home state under Tinubu's party ACN because Tinubu ensured he got the party ticket). Can Peter Obi match that level of patriotism? Say the truth, your hatred for Tinubu isn't based on his patriotism because there's no evidence to support that. You can hate Tinubu for any other reason but certainly not on the basis of lack of patriotism. He has done enough for many others politically (including Buhari and Osinbajo), yet you people have not stopped hating him for that, even though the same Buhari has done everything to try to neutralize him politically, you people still blame him for Buhari's faults. No matter what he does you will still hate him. If he supports another person again (like he did Buhari) and the person ends up messing up, it is Tinubu that you people will still blame and hate even more than the person. So he should try his luck too with the Presidency. You don't have to vote for him, but he has every right to also run for president. |
It will be close to impossible for any other party to beat APGA in Anambra. Unless maybe a state of emergency (or ipob sit-at-home) is declared (which is unlikely), to neutralize their obvious advantage. Winning elections in this parts is about who has the strongest structures to win, and in that department, the other parties fall short because APGA has had close to 16yrs of uninterrupted power to build a formidable base. It is what it is. |
lwisee:You are just looking for who to blame for your failure in life. Your future is already in tatters if my choice of a candidate in an election (in a democracy o) is what you feel would determine your success in life. Oga, we are in a democracy, which is a game of numbers, and based on politics. As it is played anywhere in the world. And just so you know, there are no 'saints' in politics, because it's based on compromise with fallible humans, in order to get/remain in power, and get things done through the corridors of power. If you feel there's a better person than Tinubu, encourage him to come forward and contest. Unless if you're afraid your preferred choice doesn't have the political pedigree to stand a good chance (which in that case isn't anyone's fault). I haven't asked you or anyone here not to vote for whomsoever you choose. If Tinubu wins his party ticket, you are free to vote for the other party's candidate. Even if that opponent turns out to be Atiku (who himself isn't better than the Tinubu you obviously hate), please vote for him. Nobody will beat you. But you can't intimidate anyone from voting their choice with this sort of useless talk. Kolewerk. It will never work, because I have as much right as you do to vote for my choice, irrespective of how you choose to feel about the person. Someone must win and lose an election in a democracy. Know that and know peace. |
jesmond3945:Tinubu is Greedy how? Is Peter Obi in APC? What's stopping Peter Obi from boldly declaring for the presidency under PDP? Or are you people waiting for Tinubu to endorse Peter Obi or something, because I don't understand this your rant. We are in a democracy. Nobody will step down for anybody. Alex Ekwueme contested the PDP presidential primary against OBJ and heaven did not fall. Igbos should grow some balls and push Peter Obi to come out and contest the ticket against Atiku or any other Northerner in PDP, if he's the one you guys truly want. That has absolutely nothing to do with Tinubu because they're in different political parties. Besides, if per chance, Tinubu were to endorse Peter Obi, such gesture wouldn't stop you ibos from hating him any less. So make una rest. |
In my opinion, Tinubu should give the presidency a shot. Yes. He can't be any worse than Buhari or even GEJ his predecessor. And he shouldn't shelve his ambition because his haters/enemies can't stand him. They can do their worst. He has come this far in spite of their hatred. Even after many of them had written him off politically, his star refuses to dim and only continues to shine (his 'ori'/'eleda' must be very stubborn). As for Osinbajo, he's free to try his luck as well. Personally, I'll only support Osinbajo if Tinubu supports his candidacy. But I will pick Asiwaju over him if they go head-to-head. At this stage, Tinubu doesn't owe Osinbajo or anyone any reason not to run. He has been magnanimous enough to present Osinbajo for the VP slot. And in spite of that, those that are trying to blackmail him into not running haven't hated him any less. And even if he steps down for Osinbajo today it won't change the way they feel about him, so I say fvck it. Any interested person should go all out and try his luck. Fayemi is also welcome. That's democracy. ![]() |
Follow the money jor. The hotel job benefits/perks are very good. |
puzzlegate:Abeg Getat! Promote your Biafra in peace and allow others promote who they like. And if na Peter Obi or Atiku you want you are also free to do so. Nobody will beat you. But you can't intimidate Tinubu's supporters from promoting or supporting Dead the idea. |
puzzlegate:Oga test. Nobody will force you to vote for anyone against your wish. If you have someone you'll prefer to be the next president, let us know and start promoting him. But you can't gag Tinubu's supporters from promoting him because we are in a democracy. If you don't like his message, skip the thread because no be by force. |
macjireh:That would be fantastic if they could do that. But I don't see any signs of that happening. I wish I could be wrong. |
seunmsg:The irony of all this anti-Tinubu rhetoric on this thread is that, if we're to dig deep, you'll find that majority of those spitting saliva all over this thread are either based abroad (and have no pvc) or ibo (who would likely not even vote on election day due to lack of pvc or in adherence to Ipob 'no lefelendum no erection' orders). . Yet na dem dey make noise pass online. |
Sergio101:Bro, the truth is, the youths are not ready for power. Besides, what Nigeria needs is a detribalized unifier that has across the board and robust influence politically in order to stabilize the polity. Name any other politician from the South that has built the kind of political network of Asiwaju that is alive today. Just one. The youths have so far demonstrated that they are not serious about taking the reins of responsibility that political power demands. And mind you, power isn't handed to anyone on a platter. No. The noise we are hearing about Tinubu today from his associates and supporters was nurtured over decades. If anyone else feels he can do better than him, such a person should also come out and make some noise and the electorate would decide. |
seunmsg:Bros, I see what you are doing. You sabi how to press Tinubu haters mumu button. Watch them drag this thread to 5 pages out of frustration. Dem go wail die. Frustration yen de lo ma pa gbogbo won. |
lordlugards:Hear this ediot nonentity. You never even succeed in seceding with you 5 tiny SE/Biafra states, ona don dey eye Lagos wey no even share border with any of your erosion-ravaged states. How?? For your mind, you go cross Niger-bridge enter Delta state, cross enter Edo, before you enter the Yoruba territories of Ondo, and Ogun, leave all those places and then 'take over' Lagos? No be juju be dat? The kind igbo wey ona dey smoke for dat iboland must be expired or something. Na inside Lagoon we go drown all of ona. No need wasting money deporting you pipo. Ediot. |
lordlugards:Why did you switch to another moniker? Your forefathers have been wailing over their misfortune of not having a Lagos equivalent in AlaIgbo from the first time they stepped foot on Lagos soil. Maybe when you die you can drag the matter with baba God. But in the meantime, Yorubas will continue accommodating ibo refugees like you, same way we've been doing to other ethnicities. We know how to deal with you people when it really gets down to it, that's why una dey gentle for Lagos. My advice to you is that you lots should keep behaving yourselves so that your markets will continue to sell and prosper here. Yorubas will never tolerate ipobic behaviour in Lasgidi, no! That shyt won't fly here. Na for iboland una fit dey do all that rubbish. |
PrinceOfLagos:If Tinubu was a nobody in Lagos, you for no dey display do much hatred for him on Nairaland. Your obsession with him alone is enough proof that he owns Lagos. Unfortunately for you, as an atohunrinwa, you are left with only two options under the present circumstances - - you deal with it, or you getat by returning to AlaIgbo. No amount of wailing and ekun egbere from you will change the status quo. |
PrinceOfLagos:Lmao. Werey dey disguise. Only Lagos can sweet an ibo man sotay he will start denying his ibo roots. No worry, we sabi your type, una plenty for Lagos/SW (una people dey call una 'my mama say I be ibo' ) . See eh, the beauty of yorubaland is that Yoruba people are accommodating to a fault. Keep enjoying the fruits and bounties of Tinubu's Lagos, nothing do you. Just restrict dis your rubbish talk to Nairaland and cyberspace, because if you pass your boundary outside, your fvckup will be gallantly treated. Na then you go know say you be atohunrinwa (migrant). When push comes to shove, we Yorubas know ourselves. |
Wait. Is the 'American dream' itself a scam or something? Or is it that Nigerians are just naturally criminal minded, for them to get to 'God's own country' and still be engaging in criminal activities. |
PrinceOfLagos:I cannot be arguing Tinubu's roots with an ibo migrant to Lagos. From where to where? You are a nobody in Lagos; your lineage, ancestors and progeny no get any roots anywhere in yorubaland, while Tinubu (a Yoruba man) runs things in the same Lagos (Yoruba land). Who are you again?? Abeg getat. When you tire, you go pack your load, enter bus and return to your papa house in AlaIgbo. |
PrinceOfLagos:Omo yigbo abeg getat with your delusions. You left your iboland come Tinubu Lagos con hustle, Lasgidi sweet you sotay you forget your papa house, only to turn around and start obsessing over Tinubu. Nna mehn, if Lagos tire you, catch night bus back to AlaIgbo and stop constituting nuisance in cyberspace. |
PrinceOfLagos:Tinubu must have really done a number on you, sotay you can't breathe without mentioning him. |
This thing go pain Buhari o. If ipob really wan hurt Buhari, they should order sit-at-home for a whole year in iboland. Buhari go cry well well. |

Kwarapshan.
