Francon:The tragedy actually is the wife he left behind. The society we live would expect her to grieve and mourn over a cheating husband. That's a very bitter pill to swallow if I were the wife. |
Trina0936:Your response gave me a laugh. So comical. If you are very sure of yourself, can you be so sure of your spouse? Of just one harmless mistake that can rock the boat? I believe you're still very much ignorant about life and its dynamics. What if you were raped and infected, does that diminish your righteousness? My dear there are lots of instances about bad things happening to good people. What matters most is the will to fight through all life challenges. Thanks. |
Trina0936:Amen too that my dear. You think bad things don't happen to good people? Keep living in your ignorance and keep gloating over life that is very much unpredictable. As per your conclusion about my personality, I laugh again at your ignorance. You haven't seen more of life, have you? "Let him that stand take heed lest he falls." In summary, stop gloating over your righteousness. Is that wishing you bad? |
Trina0936:What if you get married and you get infected by your husband somehow? Nothing is ever sure in this life. Sex is an act between two people. You are sure about yourself, can you say that about your partner? Even in marriage? Postpone your thanksgiving till when you're very old and close to the grave. |
aalangel:Must you be single before him knack you? You're still part of the knackable flocks. Your husby needs to trail you with a GPS. |
Junk reporting. it's 8hrs before flight and not any useless 3hrs. Whoever gave them 3hrs must have just finished drinking too to have spewed out that trash. |
lailo:What matters most to you shall be stolen and given to another who know a better use of it than you, then you will know how painful it hurts to be stolen from. |
Collynzo9:Demented logic from a demented head. Your case is a lost one. |
temmy16:Keep deceiving yourself. You better smell the coffee while it's hot. |
I stand to be corrected. The Yoruba has no representation for Olorun. Or is Olorun different from Olodumare? Good job, anyway. Great to see the gods in flesh. |
khattab02: Point to be noted, Judaism is not the parent religion of Islam. Both religions are different Though there are similarities.Hahaha. How come the tales of Abraham and co, up to jesus are similar to that of the hebrews? I know you will want to defend the originality of your religion. The christains will also want to do the same. I understand your point. |
myola: Million thanks for ur response. I have been cracking my brain how to respond to his posting & you bail me out.Bro, history exposes everything, most especially the vanities of the jihadists and the crusaders as it concerns their quest over Jerusalem. Its all politics and economic, and never religious. |
Moremony: WHERE WERE OUR FOREFATHERS AND IFA DURING THE FIRST AND SECOND WORLD WAR IF THEY WERE REALLY POWERFUL AS CLAIMED AND EVEN POWERFUL THAN THE FOREIGN ARMIES AND THEIR BOMBS?30 And Jephthah vowed a vow unto the LORD, and said, If thou shalt without fail deliver the children of Ammon into mine hands, 31 Then it shall be, that whatsoever cometh forth of the doors of my house to meet me, when I return in peace from the children of Ammon, shall surely be the LORD's, and I will offer it up for a burnt offering. 34 And Jephthah came to Mizpeh unto his house, and, behold, his daughter came out to meet him with timbrels and with dances: and she was his only child; beside her he had neither son nor daughter. 35 And it came to pass, when he saw her, that he rent his clothes, and said, Alas, my daughter! thou hast brought me very low, and thou art one of them that trouble me: for I have opened my mouth unto the LORD, and I cannot go back. 39 And it came to pass at the end of two months, that she returned unto her father, who did with her according to his vow which he had vowed: and she knew no man. And it was a custom in Israel, You'll need to answer the question you posted above by explaining this scriptures from Judges 11. |
I consider this ifa priest to be a very sincere ignorant man. Christianity is not a foreign religion in the same context as knowledge of scientific facts is not foreign to any people. Abraham was a devoted idol worshiper as were his forefathers and indeed the whole of ancient humanity. Through many indisputable proofs, God Almighty has revealed HE is not in league with the gods of our forefathers neither is HE tolerant of giving His Glory to any of them. Our early association with these gods, revealed to be devils rebellious and oppossed to GOD, was founded on our helplessness then. These gods are without doubt of some means yet with the agenda to perpetually enslave and without any means of bringing man to the glory GOD designed. The days of ignorance have passed away. The truth is a reality available to all and not foreign to any people on earth. Those who choose to wallow in the old order have no excuse. Yet a little while, and all about the old must become extinct according to the determined counsel of GOD.
Your comment reek of ignorance while trying effortlessly to laden it with thoughtfulness. Is God almighty a localized entity? Does he belong to the xtians alone? That the traditional african belief system bowed to the christian and Islamic belief was not because of a "wondrous working God" as you want us to believe. The two most widespread religion had the monopoly of guns, cannons, swords, sabers ans daggers. Ask yourself, why is judaism( the parent religion to both christianity and islam) not as widespread as the other two. Is the christian God now powerful than the judaic God? Muslims conquered Jerusalem from Christians and ruled for over 700years. Are we going to assume that the muslim God is more powerful than the christian God? The foreign religions were able to gloat over their concept of a religious beliefs which the african belief systems ( defeated militarily) have to accept. Its all about the interplay between the pysche of the victor and the vanquished. Please, do tell me one new thing foreign religion changed in the youruba belief system? Fornication was frown at, same as stealing, killing and any other social vice. Taking foreign religion as the only TRUE source is a defeated pysche at work. All man to his choice. No grudges. |
oluremi59: :oHmmmmnnn!Haven't your pastors predicted the end of Boko haram and yet the menace still lingers. keep heaping herculean task at the feet of ifa priest while you absolve your pastors and imams of their wrong predictions, using the worn out mantra of 'God knows best'. |
Promhize: OkWhich one should they believe since you have a 'very keen sense of discernment'? |
Pukkah: This is the most unpatriotic, evil and ungodly statement I've come across in recent times.Ever wondered why corruption is now a culture in Nigeria? The post you quoted is a perfect testament. I guess you'll not be bewildered when drums are rolled out for Ibori's homecoming, same way some mofos welcomed Bode George. |
MightyThor: I recall a similar episode with the petroleum minister, what transpired then? what of the other countless public outcry against frivolous spending and extravagant lifestyle of public office holders and their families? what has become of them?Prosecution is not in the hands of masses but the judiciary and by larger extent the state( government) . I understand your frustration and I share in it too. What happens to corrupt cases brought to court shows the government is not ready to fight corruption. |
ifyalways: Hot air. All noise. No action.'All noise. No action'? Do you think going to court to force the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission to prosecute the Minister is not an action? So you expect them to bare arms before you can regard their actions? You're just being pathetic. Stella would never give you a ride in her BMW 'cos you're from her side. Stop supporting corrupt practices. It begins with you. |
Rubbish!! Who knws abt CAN during obasanjos regime ? Make dey go sleep abeg..wetin join CAN wit politics [/quoteBurahi need to be question over his unguarded utterances. Is that too much to ask by CAN? It's not every time we must politicize issues. |
dady12: the reason why he resign is best know to him and God,infact,do you guys think tht pop is like your nigeria foollish power drunk leaders? This man should be commended for what he did,he is aged,do you want him dead on the throne?let us reason with our brain and stop asking foolish questions because there is no foolish man here tht will give u foolish answerfrom your logic Pope John Paul was power drunk to have died on the 'throne' despite being ravaged with parkinson and old age? |
Libkid: When will all these store rented churches would stop insulting christains.am really ashamed of those so christainsIn the other thread about osaze's apology, you were maligning people on their use of english; check out your spelling of 'christians'. That you made the mistake twice meant you dont know how it's being spelt. Tone down your criticism of people next time. People do make mistakes. To the topic. So sad to see a church at war with itself. It's just a reflection of our society at large; greed and peronal interest. |
freshdude: look at the kind of question ur asking. which military man in that period do u expect ojukwu to meet.? awo was the best person for the deal at that point.Good you said, "which miltary man in that period do you expect ojukwu to meet?" i say a top yoruba miltary officer. It was all an army affair during that era. If ojukwu couldnt trust a yoruba military officer why trust a helpless yoruba civilian that was just released from prison? Without military might there was little Awo could do. You expect him to rouse the people to carry sticks and cutlasses against gun trotting armies? That would be foolhardy. Igbos and the northers had more military men then the yorubas. The theme word would be caution on the part of the yorubas and that was what Awo did. |
freshdude: that pics could have been taken anywhere, just a pic of gowon walking with awo. ojukuw brought that nigga out of prison so he would take yourubas out of Nigeria while him(ojuukwu) take biafra out of Nigeria.why would Ojukwu (a military man) relie on Awolowo ( a civilian) to secede? Were there no yoruba top military officers Ojukwu could convince? |
speeder: guy, i be Christian but u dey talk shit. U be mumu. Wetin prayer no fit change.Prayer can't change a negro into a caucascian. Keep deluding yourself, Mr. Speeder. |
healthlife: I don't think LAZY is an apt description. I think UNINSPIRED properly describes the Nigerian youth."UNINSPIRED" sums it up best. The situation with naija youths can be likened to "the spirit willeth but the body is weary." |
Be it reading for knowledge or to pass an exam, if there are no assurances of a meal on the table or the next meal; reading is dead. Most Nigerian youths read for survival. I wont pass the bulk of the blame on them. |
abdul4hire: With regards to those making derogatory statements against the religion of God, i say exercise restraint...God has no religion. He's not a muslim. He doesn't perform Hajj neither does he fast during Ramadan. He's neither Jew nor a Christain. RELIGION WAS MADE FOR MAN AND NOT MAN FOR RELIGION. What God require from man is a contrite heart and making the world a better place than you met it. God cannot be contained in just a religion. HE'S JUST TOO BIG FOR THAT. |
fitzmayowa: ACN should just stop making noise and unseat PDP and lets see what they have to offer Nigerians, instead of all this senseless noise. *Hisses and walks away from toothless ACN*Very idi.o.tic of you. I mean your reasoning. How can they unseat PDP now when it's not yet 2015? What you call 'senseless noise' is actually a tool at working on the minds of the electorate against PDP. By the way, how old are you? |
Sagamite: You are a person!Hitler is religious. Infact, he's a disciplined man (doesn't drink or womanise). Part of the reason for his hatred of the jews was because they killed christ and they were morally corrupt. It was alleged that the pope of that era conspired with him against the jews. But that's no moral justification for muslims to support the present day blood shed in the name of islam of the prophet. |
This issue of blasphemy and censoring of freedom of speech is going to be a hot debate in the coming days. Who owns the right to blaspheme? What constitute blasphemy? If the muslims believe derogatory remarks against islam and the prophet should be prohibited in the west like that of racial comment and the denial of holocaust, the the xtians would come forth with their argument about the divinity of christ whom islam regard as a mere man as blasphemy. We live in a pluralist world with diverse religion and diverse object or persona held sacred. Speaking against such would also be deemed as blasphemy. Interesting days lies ahead. |
In 1666, the Roman Catholic Church called for Galileo's death. Thousands more were killed in the Great Inquisition. More thousands during the crusades. During the dark ages, The Church murdered thousands of women and childen for the crime of witchcraft. Some sects in Christianity today still support child witchhunting, killing of homosexuals. All these Christians abusinng Islam shld realise Christianity has a bloodier history than Islam. The reason Christianity seems a bit Good point. Christianity stopped its blodletting when the religion was separated from the affairs of the state, but Islam still fuses the two together in any Islamic governed nation. This is where the world is divided. Until this is resolved, there will always be problem across the world. |
