Who do you think would win?

APC 65% chance, PDP 35%.

APC has the spread, and has countered the strength of the PDP by fielding a candidate from the Northern Senatorial Zone. Western Zone is APC, Southern Zone is part PDP part APC

Sir, even APC supporters have issues with A. A. Sule. Maku have a wide acceptance acrosss all the LGAs

This battle is between APC and PDP, Maku is a local champion. The Eggons have only one LGA out of 13. They are a loud tribe. I was in Lafia this week and saw his campaign trail, made 99.5% of Eggon co-travelers.

Nasarawa State has evolved beyond local and tribal politics. This both Davematics and AA Sule understand.

Shameful reportage from a docile press. Shame to Nigerian journalists, that keep on misinterpreting facts!
What is wrong with statements giving hope? Rather than being full of blames for others, Leaders are supposed to be inspirational.

Solution to all these strikes is the privatisation of the health sector, so that every one gets paid according to what he/she does, not according to what others are paid.
Another thing I find absurd is the cry for increase in the retirement age, why don't people want to retire? And we would be blaming government that jobs are not being provided.
As for NAFDAC, I dont know why they want to be paid CONHESS when they do not work in a hospital.
IT IS WELL!

The only reason you are jumping around this thread like a monkey on heat defending Al Makura is because he is in your satanic fascist party.

I suggest you stop throwing stupid conclusions and assertions from that your backward osogbo enclave and go and do a proper investigation and reserch on the menace of the Fulani herdsmen afflicting the middle belt.

By the way I am not PDP.

I am merely anti-APC!

I honestly pity you, you lack decorum.
Im speaking as a son of the soil in Nasarawa, go back to your barren landlocked land and stop interfering in our affairs.

Al Makura mobolized a division of Mobile Police and the State SS to raid Eggon land but the Ombatse fought back and killed most of the security forces

Al Makura is a fulani settler trying to dislodge indegenes from Nassarawa to make way for his Fulani brothers that have been driven from Plateau, South Kaduna, Taraba and Benue

You. Ediots think that because you support that fascist party you will be immune from the latest Fulani land grab and genocide pogroms then you are really daft ostrichhs with your heads in the sand

I can't wait to see the SS and SE pull out and leave you with your slave masters

If Gov. Almakura did not act you would say, he's the governor, security is his job.

Speaking from one side of the mouth. No matter what you do peace would reign in Nasarawa and The will of the majority would prevail. You want power, campaign for it and win, do not intimidate and cow people into submission.

your darling Buhari Should explain the N2.8 billion NNPC money that got stolen under his watch as Petroleum Minister and head of NNPC in 1978? Let’s bear in mind that the value of that money in hard currency at the time was more than $3 billion.it is also on record that the Shehu Shagari government, which shortly took over thereafter from the military, set up a Senate probe which traced the money to a London Midland Bank account belonging to Buhari from where the money again got missing..Buhari is no saint

My God. Where did you get this? Please provide evidence or be ready for a lawsuit on defamation of character, I hope you have enough money to settle us.

Honestly, when I see threads like this, I know we as a country have failed.
I have a lot of reservations about this post.
The Op is most definitely not a northerner, why pose as one?
Again, who told you that in the schools in the north we are only taught islamic knowledge and a little english and arithmetic? That's a very poor attempt at humor!
Yet again, who said our young ones are so daft as to be brainwashed into being terrorists?
Mr Man/Woman, if you hate the North just say it plainly. Don't hide behind a porous literature, because we now have people who are just waiting for anything bad about the north to start their usual and unfounded confrontations and insults.
Please refrain from such in the future.

Mr, there are advances in medical sciences, the curriculum was evaluated and it was clearly understood that being a Generalist-Scientist will entail the filling of pre-existing knowledge gaps. B.MLS was borne on that premise. It is an Internationally recognized degree.

http://www.unb.ca/academics/programs/undergrad/fr/medical/
https://www.qut.edu.au/study/courses/bachelor-of-medical-laboratory-science
http://www.massey.ac.nz/massey/learning/programme-course-paper/programme.cfm?prog_id=92410

Let me ask you a simple question. How do you expect someone with just a degree in physiology to understand the isolation of different Vibro sp and biotypes?. How do you expect someone with a degree in microbiology to carry out the principles and procedures of microtomy, fixation, and the study of hemoglobinopathies in the lab. Use your head now. If he fails in his duty, won't your allo-guys be the first to ridicule him and call him demeaning names? Won't you be the first to call for his head if does a wrong cross-match and kills a patient with a wrong pint of blood.

Stop pretending you fighting for them, some of them have become industrial and public analysts and they are very smart to understand that you are simply looking for cheap allies to carry your baggage in your war against Scientists. Trust me they are not fooled by your "fake sympathy".

As for running autopsy and what not, i work within the ambit of my profession, i don't cross lines like you lots. I won't do the job of a pathologist in morbid section, have never claimed to. I also do not expect you to do my job, it is illegal can only be seen as quackery.

So we are in agreement that an MLS is an MLS and a pathologist is a pathologist, no more saying you own the Lab!
Health / Re: Nma Strike, The Nurses' Perspective. by alakid: 7:05pm On Jul 13, 2014
YourHealthlabs:

Doctor's in pathology/lab medicine have no business running lab procedures. Those who spent 5+1+1Nysc years learning the application of science in the medical laboratory are KINGS in that area and they are the SCIENTISTS, THE ORACLE IN THE LAB. The little pcv and gram staining you know was taught to you by these SCIENTISTS, and if you think MLS starts and ends there, you are a joker.

A pathologist's job is to help interprete the result to confused medical officers in the ward and suggest clinical solutions if need be. It is utterly inappropriate and illegal for any doctor to mount a lab bench and start lab procedure which demands the use a Scientist's INTELLECT, HANDS AND PEN. It is pure quackery and criminal in the eyes of the law. A doctors training does not cover that scope.

Morever, pick up the Med Lab council federal gazette which contains LAWS governing the medical laboratories, read it and tell us who should run, control, regulate and accredit Public and private labs. We've dragged you to court and thrown you the books. The court disagreed with you.

mlscn_docs/MLSCN_ACT.pdf

Oga Louis pasteur wasn't a doctor, he was a chemist, he developed lab methodologies and came up with solutions. Remember pasteurization?
How about Robert Koch, a botanist and a mathematician, whose breakthrough in anthrax came in the 1870s, did he study medicine?. Your lecturers deceived you a lot. I'll give you a sound lesson here.

And we Scientists are not involved in research? Guy you should run a clown-house part time. You are funny.
I won't go far, go to uniben Nigerian MLScientists developed a new cost-effective method of diagnosing parasitemia. The doctors as usual are running all over the place trying to either discredit him or take the glory while the working model has been adopted in some african countries. Go to google type in FIBMS and see contributions of Biomedical Scientists who are "Chartered Scientists" in UK. Know your place.

My heartfelt sympathy goes out to any lazy doctor who decides to specialize in pathology or opthamology in the nearest future because he feels he can hide in the lab,/eye clinic collect the same pay as gynaecologists, surgeons and still the rule over the Scientists and optometrists. I bet you it won't be funny as other doctors have started abandoning them to their fate in UCH and some other federal hospitals.

Oga all-knowing doctor,I'm holding you to your words. You said you all know everything in the lab.
Oya answer this small 200L question. At least you have google(expo) there with you.
--->Why do we preferably run H-D
method on wet mounts?, Can you
also tell us the role of trimethoprim in
the constitution of S-medium for
isolation of microarophilic, catalase-
variables.
............................................................................

Nigerians are reading.

Mr. Lab scientist, please answer the following questions.
1. If Robert kock was a botanist and Pasteur was a chemist, why did you send scientists(the real ones) eg microbiologist, physiologists and biochemists out of the lab?

2. Can you carry out an autopsy?

3. Can you do bone marrow biopsy?

4. Can you run a metabolic/endocrine clinic?

I can go on and on!
Just forget it, a Pathologist is pure class compared to a PhD lab scientist.

How about ur "almighty consultant" in antenatal clinic, who prescribed artesunate & Augumentin (two strong drugs) for my sister in her first month pregnancy? I tank God she showed me d prescription b4 proceeding, else it wudve ended in DISASTER! (Wch u knw) u may not even knw sef! Cos pple lyk u don't even knw dia onions, Ure opening ur mouth wide. I smh for u

Wow! I just hv to respond to this.
1. Augmentin is that same amoxicillin you were referring to, just enhanced with clavulanic acid. It is a category A drug, safe in pregnancy, and more effective than amoxicillin alone. What we can take home from this is that you have cheated your sister.
2. Proguanil (Paludrine) is no longer recommended for treatment of malaria, it is rather used for preventing malaria in high risk patients, drug of choice is quinine, however, Artesunate has not been found to be harmful to pregnant animals, as such can be used in malaria in pregnancy. Our take home lesson from this also is that you didn't allow your sister treat malaria effectively, placing her at risk of many complications of malaria including preterm labor, the very thing you were trying to avoid.
In conclusion, I would advise you to always seek wise counsel from people of knowledge (in this case doctors) whenever you are confused. Thanks
