gentiles:Please don’t bring this here. You are going to derail the purpose of these thread. Anything I saw to counter your argument will keep the argument going. Me I’m ashamed of what’s going on here on nairaland |
Omoluabi1stborn:Any foreigner going through nairaland will see Nigerians through the lenses of what we wrote here. They’ll go home and tell their people Nigerians are tribalistic. We should be ashamed of what tag. Before we shout Black Lives Matter |
Please I wrote this post not to start a tribal bashing but to stop tribalism between Yoruba and Igbo. If I wrote softer than this they would say that I’m begging them. helinues:Bros I tire and it’s not funny. I wish my brethren will understand that we are stylishly becoming something people know us not to be that’s “tribalist” and I think these guys are doing this on purpose. They always have an agenda and always so coordinated. You will figure they are always saying the same thing even if it’s not the same thing they supported the previous day I feel so ashamed knowing that I have Igbo friends. I wonder what happens if they see my nairaland account comments. Makes me feel bad because deep down that’s not who I am. |
Modified: I appreciate the mods for bringing back the thread. Afer going through many thread and then doing some thinking, I think we are stooping low because when you argue with a mad man in the market square at the top of your voice from a distance people will not know who is who. I see these people as troublesome people who are not afraid to drag anyone to their extremely low level. If you go through nairaland, you will see that igbos have problem with Hausa, Fulani, Edo, Ijaw, Itshekiri and even people outside Nigeria. Never have I seen Yoruba people so hateful until the igbos started attacking us prompting us to reply. They are winning because people already think we are like them. I saw a comment yesterday that called out Yoruba and Igbo for tribalism saying “shame on us both” and i felt very ashamed. Since the time I read the post I have not made any comment against them even though I have seen their work especially with Tinubu’s visit to OUK. I realized they are just naturally mischievous and hateful. Also there’s a thread on how the Ngwa (a igboid group) are really bad. After opening the thread I realized this hate is not just against Yoruba but it’s in them to hate. Now why go through the mud with them? I know it’s hard to ignore an elephant in the room but we shouldn’t become something now that will stick because when it sticks like them we might start telling our children how some tribes are very bad and they too will pass it to their children making the next generation really hateful which is what’s playing out in igboland right now. I will close this post the same I opened it. When you fight dirty with a mad man from the distance people will not know who is who. I will attack some screenshots that should tell you that you don’t try to make sense with someone that doesn’t want the sense. Ejo eyin Omoluabi, Omo Oodua, omo ku ootu, oojire bi? Aji sebi Oyo laari, oyo o ni sebi baba eni kookan. Please don’t let them turn us into a tribalist. They have tried to create many moniker under different tribe including our own Yoruba to attack us. When you see I’m not Igbo but…. Im Yoruba but… that’s a signal just let them be please. Olorun a ran wa lowo o

Olakunleyakub:Baba I no come here from you again? I guess you are not interested in the fb? |
Psalmistproject I have not seen you on these thread to caution these guys. They are throwing insult like it’s addendum. Me I’ve commot my hand in anything tribalism. I have moved on but more people will come out to defend their people and trust me it will get to you. Don’t chastise them. |
Psalmistproject:Did you notice you didn’t address anything from what I said? You are telling me how great Igbos instead of addressing the hate issues I brought before you. With a good conscience are you saying you are not seeing everything going on nairaland and who’s the mischievous one? Doesn’t matter though. |
Psalmistproject:Because you ask and to enlighten others I will tell you. Afonja was a warrior from ilorin whom fought at a time when the Yoruba nation was going through civil war. He got Fulani mercenary to fight on his side and they betrayed him hence the presence of Fulani in Ilorin but you see the Yoruba has long moved passed it because our people in the whole of Kwara don’t have any problem whatsoever living with other people as long as they know and understand their boundaries. So The word doesn’t make sense if not for your people’s urge for being mischievous. Afonja doesn’t have anything to do with me as a person. He’s ilorin indigene and I’m not It is the intent of your people when they use the word but don’t worry. If you guys want to remain unrepentant we will match the hate with equal hate. If your intention is noble start talking to your people about making enemies everywhere. If you guys are hated in Nigeria, SA, Ghana and other countries there must be a reason for it. You people should grow up. Even if you achieve your own country. You will need allies, you will need partners, and that’s not going to be people you insult at every giving opportunity. Start thinking wisely for the future. The hate and propaganda emanating from your people is too much. Hate only begets hate. |
tollyboy5:Trust me all these is because they love to be you. See them attacking each other and wishing they can love like Yoruba and Hausa. They are envious of you bro. Trust me.

Psalmistproject:Have you ever scold any Igbo man for using the word Afonja? Why do your people have a derogatory name for everybody? |
LLiKYekoba:My evidence of love is welcoming you with opens arms in every nook and cranny of my region, allowing you do business without interference, patronizing your business, making one of your a minister in Lagos. How many point do you need me to make because I got like 200 |
Psalmistproject:Omo osan lo ma nko kpon kpo ba iya. Bros. My advice is you start orientating your people about giving out hate and use of propaganda. If I can point 20 people doing the same thing from one particular group it can be used to stereotype them. For the sake of reasonable people like you. Start warning them because the other people will not sit idle. You saw what happened yesterday between David Hudeyin and El Rufai son. David want ahead to call out his mother and father publicly dragging them through the mud and the world supported him. Our society is not like that, normally people will rebuke David for doing that but that boy brought it on his family. So if you allow them dish out hate without check it will bounce back on the whole community. You can isolate yourself in this world of people and diplomacy. |
tollyboy5:Lol. Those are bush rats. “Emo” We used pangolo to do to catch them when I was little. They are bush meats not local rats. Don’t let those propagandist stir you up. Emo Na confirm bushmeat I tell you. They don’t even go near your house at all. If you live in an area with new sites and bushes you will see often inside the little bushes. Sometimes they cross the road that divide the bushes to the other side. They are brownish in color unlike rats that are black and they are bigger than rat but not as big as the domestic rat you find in slums. |
LLiKYekoba:You can’t think properly. You think you can live and do business in a community where your host don’t like you? You are sowing seed of hate now and I assure you it will grow overtime. You will reap in all bountifully. All your useless propaganda will take full effect you will shout xenophobia. |
stonemasonn:Of course a Christian will and will again win elections in Nigeria but already said Osinbanjo is incompetent. How’s he now the man for the job? Why the U turn? |
stonemasonn:You personally said that Osinbanjo does not have his own structure. How is he supposed to win against Atiku and Northern Muslim in a time that religion as a topic is very sensitive in northern Nigeria? You are being clever by half oga. And there’s nothing wrong with Tinubu. People go out for nose surgery, boobs or ass surgery, kneel surgery and come back strong. Tinubu did surgery on his kneel how does that make him sick? Abi you want Osinbanjo to become the President so you can say Tinubu is a cabal, Tinubu is ruling by proxy. Blah blah and use that to distract his tenure?
|
AfonjaConehead Never have I heard anything called Ngwa until I opened that thread. You see that underlined part is where I’m at. Go through that post there’s only one Yoruba guy there and he was trying to make peace, telling them they are all igbos and shouldn’t be venting so much hate because of communal differences.
|
stonemasonn:People like you think they are smart but smart people don’t leave traces. All of you PDP minions that are campaigning for Osinbanjo what’s the end game?
|
All of you PDP minions that are campaigning for Osinbanjo what’s the end game? garfield1:You are very funny and myopic if you think APC will fall for that bait. You people have refused to zone or not zone your party ticket because you are waiting for who will emerge as APC flag bearer. The moment you see Osinbanjo your atikulation mantra will fill the air. Go and sit down. How’s Osinbanjo even better than Tinubu in your mind? What has Osinbanjo done in governance that makes you think he’s better than BAT? At least Tinubu has govern a state for 8 years. Is this not the same Osibano y’all call puppet, boy boy, condolence minister and all those names that mark him incompetent. Where’s the love now coming from? Why the U turn? |
Oga propagandist there’s nothing like Osinbanjo VS Atiku. From Southwest it’s Tinubu against anybody. Y’all should learn to deal with that. We own both and we are saying we need the boss. The boy can get some other appointments but we know who can sound the horn. If you like promote Osinbanjo until 20200 Rubbish. |
Is it not the same Hausa your people wish they can love like. |
Lol. Go home and settle your differences.
|
ThEGodFaThEr104:This is bush rat. Home rats are black but this one we call it Emo, it is not because of lock down na bushmeat. Damn. You people are too fake. You want to tell me you don’t know difference between wild and domestic animals. I understand since y’all eat human flesh, how you go know what meat to eat and what meat not to eat
|
Asgard73:I can show you threads that date back to 2011 where igbos were attacking and insulting Yoruba elders. You can’t show me anywhere Yorubas did that at that time or before. |
AsampeteNwaanyi:Nobody hates Peter Obi. It is you people that has put him in center of ridicule. By trend people tend to move away from whatever you associates with and you can’t blame them. Peter Obi issue started in 2019. Prior to that nobody have any reason to hate him. It was you people support for him that put him on the spot. I can show you post that date back to 2011 where igbos were attacking and insulting Yoruba elders. You can’t show me anywhere Yorubas did that at that time or before. |
Asgard73:Guy igbos are naturally hate filled, bitter, arrogant and mischievous.
|
oyatz:Because they are filled with hate. I read a thread yesterday na there I see them finish. Their hate Na follow come. We sbould stop engaging them if possible or they will make your hater and it will reflect in your everyday life like it does in theirs |

AfonjaConehead:I didn’t write any epistle oh my guy. I only screenshot comments made by Igbos on Igbo thread. Either you can’t read properly or you are high on meth You just throw words around. What’s obsession here now? I’m not mad you hate me. You don’t love yourselves that’s my point.
