Brendaniel: How is the south east paying dearly?
You guys are so focused on politics and tribal dominance that all you people talk about is politics and election, it made you not even understand when I said paying dearly, how insensitive you guys end up becoming because of tribalism.
The topic we are even discussing about: Terrorist Attacks Surge 86% In Sokoto, Kebbi, Niger, And Kwara States is supposed to make you sober, but no, politics is more important to you people, that is the paying dearly I'm talking about, you people are so engrossed with this nonsense you people are doing that you forget to be human beings...
That is what we the Igbos are here to even address, if this insecurity was reported in the south east, your people would have here mocking the south east, but they are not even here to even talk about it, the same thing you are here doing, focusing on who is in power and who you don't want there.
Because that is only what you people care about, last week, one your Oba was killed by possibly Fulani kidnappers, no outrage, no protest, none of you is even demanding that Tinubu should take action, in Tinubu's regime alone, about 3 of your Obas have been killed by Fulani herdsmen, no outrage, no demand that Tinubu should do something, this is the paying dearly I am talking about if your brain is not telling you that.
What about many other numerous stories of killings and kidnappings in your region, yet you claim you people are the ones in charge and yet cannot even use the power the protect yourselves, it is so useless to you people.
Listen to yourself, what exactly do you people want ?
You have all the power to yourselves, you cannot use it to help yourselves and you are busy fighting the Igbos.
The south west made me give up on the unity of Nigeria not even the north, If i ever thought I will ever see you people like this, I would not believe it, Tinubu just exposed a lot about you people... So President Tinubu is folding arms and doing nothing? Who withdrew Police from VIP protection duties? Who spearheaded bilateral military arrangement with Türkiye? Who permitted 200 US military personnels to come and train us and share intelligence? So many covert actions are being taken! All these are besides the point. The point is we don’t give an F about SE. Stop whining and crying victims to us. We are not the source of your misfoutune. |

CSTRR: Oh really? I though the government of OBJ and Jonathan was a SE govt, like tinubu supporters like to say?
That means the SE even have more reasons to complain. Your problems are: 1. Being extremely domineering. 2. Separatist movement. If you solve these problems, you won’t feel victimised anymore. This means your victimisation is caused by you and your own problems, not us. |

So why are you angry that they are complaining?
Can you beat somebody and tell him not to cry? They made themselves victims. So cry about victimisation to your people not us. Is there anybody stopping you from being in power? You got sidelined because you did not have the required powers to attain relevance. |

CSTRR: Where was your decision making people in 1999-2015, when the SE was in power? Did those period of "relevance" give the SE any special advantage that they did not earn on their own?
That you are "relevant" today, does not mean you will be relevant tomorrow. Atleast, the SE is an example. SE has never been in power since 1999 till date. The people that should enjoy the most relevance in Nigeria are SE, SW, and Northerners. Now, SE got sidelined to the extent that SS are now the ones enjoying the relevance. |

CSTRR: Let us look at the human developmental indexes of the various regions, and let us see how sidelined they are. Afterall, the aim of politics should be to develop your people.
You can't have a poverty rate of 70%, and tell me you are relevant. Relevance in what? Poverty Olympics? If the SE is sidelined, and they are still one of the developed spots in the country, then what are you doing with your relevance?
Your politicians may be relevant for now, but you are not. I am not from the NW. I’m not in for the comparison. My pain is SE people are always claiming victim. This thread is about terrorism in NW, that boy still managed to squeeze SE victimisation in this thread. A thief was beaten to death in SW, SE people said he was lynched because he is from SE. GRV lost election to Sanwo Olu in Lagos, SE people said it is because his wife and his mother are from SE. Una no dey tire?? |

What are we here discussing about, if not the overwhelming failure of you people who claim to be in the grand scheme of things, and you are talking, " grand scheme of things" without shame... You are the ones paying dearly. How many SE people are appointed to top decision making positions? No one to solicit for your region or influence something positive at the federal level. Even the SE guy contesting for presidency will not be allowed to smell the seat. It’s your loss! |

And it is not because of love for the south east, it is because they want to mock the south east, and you want us to keep quiet?
No... You must overate your importance for you to think anyone is specially paying attention to SE to mock you. That’s a desperate attempt for relevance. Look how sidelined you people are in the grand scheme of things. This alone shows no one gives an F about you all. Even SS has more relevance. Cc SisterAnn |

Terrorism is like digging a trench. If a terrorist digs 3 meters before being killed, the next terrorist will believe he can do better. When this next terrorist digs additional 5 meters before being killed, another terrorist will believe he can do better.
The solution is to kill the terrorist immediately he picks up a shovel. If 10 terrorists get killed even before digging, it will serve as a deterrent for others.
The government in 2009 was complacent and treated this situation with kid gloves. They could have put out this fire before it reaches this level. |

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Why Is Every Young Nigerian Rushing Into Tech? by Albertone(m): 1:19pm On Jan 27 |
Dogalmighty17: With AI slated and even beginning to wipe out a lot of entry level tech jobs, the global consensus is that tech isn't really the hot cake it used to be. That field is already very competitive. With just a simple prompt in Gemini, it gave me the code for an app that randomly generates numbers following a set pattern. It even offered a number of other features that I found useful.
I think cloud and DevOps still holds good prospects though. But DevOps isn't for everyone. I think that's the most frustrating aspect of tech. But the money is good from what I hear. A friend who moved to the UK years ago specialized in DevOps and from what he showed me, last year he saved close to 500 million naira after tax. He is quite sort after and travels all over the world. It took him 8 years to get there and he plans to retire this year at 42.
He encourages young folks who have a passion for tech to go into it but they need to be very intentional about it. In 10-15 years just about every aspect of tech will be AI dominated but cloud technologies still hold bright and vast potentials for anyone willing to put in the level of work ethic and dedication required. Please can you link me to that friend for advice? I am a corp member wanting to go into tech, but the frustration and confusion is out of this world. |

I’m very sure the woman would have been the first to carry her camera if that was the case. I am active on X and will give a confirmed account. The guy has accused several women of being prostitutes. The accusation that landed him in detention was about the post in image 1. What the accused fiancee has to say about the issue is in image 2 If you observe, the apology the guy made was to the lady(fiancee) in image 2 and not even to the lady OP posted. If you observe again, the accuser had been inactive since November only to surface now to apologise, signalling release from detention.

DomPerignon: Aircrafts are not designed to survive impacts.
They are made of light composite material with a light aluminium frame.
A Controlled Flight into Terrain or CFiT is what is referee to as a crash.
Majority of air accident crashes occurs during low level CFIT aka during landings because this is when the aircraft can crash on a surface.
Also the aircraft on final descent was still be operating on a relative high speed as all landings are a controlled stall .
, I insist, a crash at that level is not enough to cut off limbs and fling out roasted bodies. Paid Zombie |
Politics › Re: Lt. Gen. Attahiru Was Assassinated In May 2021 Plane Explosion - Ali-Keffi by Albertone(m): 2:09pm On Dec 11, 2025 |
DomPerignon: It wasn't an assassination but an air accident due to very bad weather, an inexperienced and young crew who had to divert to the civilian air strip in Kaduna from their intended NAF air field.
On getting to Kaduna, bad weather forced the crew to attempt a landing in the neighbouring Kaduna civilian airport.
The ATC in Kaduna had closed as the airport was operating only daylight due to terrorist attack that occurred a few months prior.
There was no ATC clearance as ATC had shut down by 6pm and there was no communication with the crew and ATC to ascertain the wind field on landing.
The crew landed in a cross wind field which flipped one of the wings of the aircraft and had it flip and crash on the tarmac.
The aircraft had departed Abuja with a full tank of fuel and was meant to convey the COAS to Kano the next morning for an occasion there and return him back to Abuja.
The cause of that crash were bad weather and an inexperienced crew.
The COAS was shelduled to have taken off to Kaduna earlier on that same day but due to his tight schedule ,the flight was postponed later in the evening.
Its not known if the crew were briefed adequately on the rapidly detiorating weather at their destination or if they (young officers in their early 30s) were afraid to tell the COAS of the need to delay or cancel the flight.
There were no traces of any explosive material on the wreckage. The manner in which you refer to their ages and call them inexperienced is disrespectful. There are US Airforce veteran pilots who have crashed despite numerous years of flying. An eye witness noted that the plane was very close to ground level. How come a crash close enough to ground level that it didn’t leave crater will be fatal enough to kill everyone one on board, cut off limbs, and fling out roasted passengers? Even the recent crash in Niger state that is devastating did not have such effects. |

anythingoes23: Those pilots were Air Force personnel, not Army, and they were trained to be fearless, especially one who was set to marry a month after his death. He was a courageous officer, well known and respected. He was my relative. Exactly my point. Why will fearless pilots be afraid to give the COAS information that can save his life? |

goody234: If you are a trained military pilot then you won't ask me that question?...domperignon on here answered it fully.
Regarding there being no crater on the crash site you do know that the plane was almost at ground level as it was in landing phase ...Explain to me why there would be a crater when it was a low ground impact ...please don't get into this hole of conspiracy theories it will only let you dig deeper and find nothing !! If a crash occurs at almost ground level, it won’t be fatal enough to cut limbs and fling roasted passengers out of the plane without a survivor. The airforce jet crash that happened in Niger state this month, go check the wreckage yet, no one died. Your thinking just dey vex me! |

goody234: This is absolutely spot on!! I also suspect the pilots were afraid to tell the COAS that they couldn't fly because of the bad weather ...Experienced pilots would have been able to counter the instructions given to them, young officers should be able to explain that it is safety first before anything else Why will trained pilots be afraid to tell the COAS that flying in that weather is risky? What will the COAS do to them? Demote them? Discharge them? Jail them? Quick Question: Have you ever seen a plane crash where all the passengers onboard were flung out of the plane to the floor? Where the crash left no crata on the ground? |

A better option would be for the young men to freeze their sperms before age 30, and then proceed to procreate using those sperms only after they have attained the necessary level to financial security that would put them at advantage in having and raising said family. Everything you said here has to be sarcastic if not, you’re grossly uninformed. Of what use is freezing of sperm(only heard of freezing eggs) when a man’s body produces fresh sperm when needed? |

The truth is that every family is unique and no family are the same, so what works for you might not work for me. To me this your post is a beautiful nonsense as far as my family is structured. The fear is in this kind of scenario where the wife starts contributing financially, she stops seeing the husband as the head. The husband loses all forms of authority and she withdraws submission. In my opinion, this fear is very valid as many women are like that. |
