guobe: It's not enough to hit them even though most are found of that . As a man hold your temper and walk away. Most women misbehave because they know their husbands will just walk away. There should be a non-physical way of putting a woman in check. That walking away worsens the problem. |

Originalsly: She's naturally pretty. She was probably born in the village ..but she's a full city girl. I'm almost sure she schooled abroad ...and lived there for most of her life. She reminds me of Genevieve... very articulate .. and on point. She is well trained in posture... I wouldn't doubt if she had a professional career abroad. She's wearing a romper....but keeps her legs together...her hand placement when she bends to sit ..m when she sits...... no village girl will do more than 1% of such..... 95% of local city babes will do same...Lagos/ Abuja included. The lady grilled her well and is a good observer.... showed good reasons why she doesn't believe her. Village girl in Igboland can speak Yoruba. She can marry more than one husband..... which man will share his wife with another man? That's not in our DNA . But I must give her credit ... she can package and sell herself very well ... a bona fide hustler. See person wey be village girl

Copied Bullcrap propaganda!!! It’s not possible for soldiers sent to combat Boko Haram to all be Igbos. There are Igbo Generals who wouldn’t allow that to stand. Name tags are easily detached because it’s velcro. No need to use dagger to detach. If you want to go AWOL after surviving an ambush, the last thing you will do is to spend hours trying to bury a rifle you can just leave there. So many inconsistencies in this propaganda. We first should understand that there is a need, and with the nature of this need, if left unmet, can be catastrophic. There definitely is a reason for a struggling guy coughing out money for sex. Research shows that women enjoy sex more but men want sex more. Some men have libidos that are hard to subdue. This is why some men carry out bizarre activities like rape and beastiality. If patronising her is what he needs at the moment, he isn’t silly for that. Instead, the girl is the silly one for being a prostitute when she’s from a wealthy home! Shalommy: Op, you know the answer already. The guy is silly! |

A peace pact is usually an agreement between at least two parties. This means they know the part(y)(ies) involved in their attacks. Why not bring them to book?
I believe if the government isn’t ready, there should be a few well to-do individuals that can sponsor protection and defence mechanisms in this Irigwe. This is why you can’t mess with the Igbos on their land. This is also why you can’t mess with the Hausa/Fulanis even outside their own land.
Yorubas and other tribes need to strengthen themselves and have defence mechanisms if not, genocide is imminent! |

If you notice, most women saying such are outside the 18-22 age bracket. They’re not happy as men in their thirties are passing them over just for those young blood girls. Some ladies are now raising alarm that younger guys are hitting on them. While some women find it repulsive, some find it wholesome and are willing to give these younger men a try. This is as a result of their preferred men age-wise going for 18-22 y/o girls. This thread will be helpful: https://www.nairaland.com/7825442/what-pros-cons-dating-marrying |

Okay, what out there is there to give us funds. I understand. 1. Constantly receiving 100% of your money in 35 days is too good to be true. 2. High reward must have high risk. 100% in 35 days with constant wins and no losses is suspicious. 3. An investment where the owners are not known is suspicious. 4. An investment in Nigeria not regulated by Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is suspicious. Follow these principles to avoid being a victim. Hope you had already withdrawn your capital before now? As for your last question, people get funds by doing businesses or having jobs. |

Career › Re: Tax In A Big Four Audit Firm Or Investment Banking by Albertone(m): 3:49pm On Jan 03, 2025 |
being: What is the investment bank? -- it matters! Big 4 looks good on d CV home & abroad with endless industry opportunities. Audit can be quite boring & excruciating but has good exit opportunities. If I were you, I would eye a move to strategy consulting or corporate finance in the big 4.
Investment banking (in d biggest banks) promises some more money than audit/tax and can be more interesting than audit/tax. But direct global mobility isn't there and hours can be crazier than audit. Also, you are limited to IBs & CF depts of the few firms that have CF. Hello Sir. Permit me to pick your brain on an issue. There is a unit in some big 4s called “Deals Advisory”. Some have it as “Strategy and Transactions”. They basically do M&A advisory, Business valuations, Financial due diligence among others. It relates to IB a little. Do you feel anyone working in this line will benefit direct global mobility should he decide to move abroad? Also, what opportunities will Strategy consulting at Big 4 present to people who move abroad? I also noticed consulting, especially in the US, prefers candidates from Target schools. Finally, I haven’t heard of Corporate Finance roles at the Big. Can you shed more light Sir? Thank you. |
Career › Re: Tax In A Big Four Audit Firm Or Investment Banking by Albertone(m): 3:34pm On Jan 03, 2025 |
ThierryJay: In terms of opportunities and exposure investment banking is higher than tax in rating.
However, the pedigree of the company providing the investment banking opportunity matters. A big 4 experience on your CV whether tax or audit opens doors faster to get foreign jobs in the UK, Canada, Australia etc than the I.B experience in a local bank here.
Also there is relative better job stability with the big four tax work than with the I.B due to the fact that the investment sector is more volatile and subject to economic fluctuations and business cases.
So in the short term, if you want the big cash and also intend to stay in 9ja for long and is okay with the potential job security risk (if there's recession for instance), go for the investment banking opportunity.
But if you are a japa candidate, working with KPMG, PwC, Deloitte or EY would open doors for you much more seamlessly abroad while you can also still excel locally but may be limited to a CFO ceiling in Nigeria which is not bad at all. I hope you are aware that Tax laws are different across countries. How will tax experience in Nigeria be beneficial should one decide to relocate abroad later? |

optimusprime2: Yes MIS is a good branch ... if you back it up with skills. Consider the IT diploma to be a gateway to a sector, how ever the keys are your skills.
eg MIS in the US without serious soft skills to back it up like coding skills or devops skills or Cybersecurity will be an empty effort.
So focus on the soft skill you wish to master not just the academics. Thanks a lot I appreciate! |

laivwire: One thing you should understand is you won't get hired right away into the big roles. Call it rac.sim, it doesn't matter. Odds are naturally stacked against our race. You would usually have to start from the ground up regardless and this makes sense for you and for them. They are helping you get a foothold in the country, you are providing them with cheaper labour and skills.
Ever wonder why regulated professions like doctors always have to get new certifications to practice? Your former certs are more than often tossed aside (not always though especially if you are in tech or design with some mad projects in your portfolio). Many times, they also prefer graduates with certificates from their univerisities.
That sorted, you need to search for regions/municipalities in the country of interest with high demand/shortage of your skills. That is where you should focus your search because some governments waive the requirements of advertising on the job boards or confirming there's no suitable labour in the EU simply because the skills are already in the shortage list.
An alternative route is to double downoon academics and secure a PhD. That givess you 3 years at least to blend in after which you can switch to the "hot cake" roles you desire. Thanks a lot! I appreciate! |

Mcslize: It's Australia. Australia needs teachers. Teachers are hot cake. But you must prepare very well to ace your EILTS English test by scoring the following bands: Speaking 8 Listening 8 Writing 7 Reading 7.
No, you don't need to get a job from Nigeria. Once you get your visa, you are good to enter the country legally with full permit to stay indefinitely. When you get there, you can look for a job. There are lots of jobs you can do over there.
The English test is the major hurdle. It's what is giving people issue. If you can ace it, be rest assured your migration is 70% sure as far as you have the funds to run the whole process. I appreciate you man! |
