My dear, just ask your questions here so that the gurus can profer solution to it.
Someone else like the silent group readers association and new comers can also benefit from it.
If you want to pm me, no problem but we always advice people to ask their questions on the forum for the gurus in the house to make their worthy and meanginful contributions. Nobody knows it all.

Bros!...... if cannabis is your worry. Worry less.
Make sure that you keep your system clean few days before going for your medical test.
Drink plenty of water prior to the day of your medicals.
Basically, Chest x-ray, Urinalysis, Blood related test will be carried out on you as well as physical health examination.
But if you want the Cannabis to become a problem to you, you can take it the day of your medicals, probably you might get there and misbehave and then you will be referred to a Psychiatric home or hospital..... lol!...

Use your tongue and count your teeth young man!..

MrFuckallday:
Can anyone confirm if Oz checks for cannabis during medicals? Thank you for your anticipated response

Certainly, such fear abound, only when you are not furnished with the right information.
But I can assure you don't need to fear or entertain such
In your mind.

I can not suggest any particular school to you because of personal preferences ..... but I can list schools in Australia which you can check out on your own.

Look at those schools that offer BSC in nursing for international students and they are so many of them.
I believe you have access to the internet, relax and search them one by one under undergraduate program because you are going for bachelors degree in nursing to be precise.

Australian education generally is expensive compare to some other countries , so look at the one you can afford.

You will get admitted when you meet the required documents.
Your age have little or no effect because there is career progression in your case. From Diploma nursing to Bachelor degree in nursing shows your clear intention that you really want to progress in your career.

You need to write English proficiency test be it IELTS, PTE, TOEFEL and the likes.
Send in your O level result as well as your diploma result ( RN license). You can go further to your school to get transcript of the courses you did in your 3 years and 6 months of study in your school of nursing. I believe your school have your records of all your results.
Get recommendation letter or reference letter from your school.
Pay the application fee which is not more than 100AUS dollars.
Write statement of purpose why you choose this course, why the school, why Australia and not in your home country........etc....
Find below a pictorial representation of the schools you will search for your intended program.

During the course of your application process, admission and visa application, gurus in the house will be willing to guide you.
Goodluck!..

ferdinandurian:
thank you very much sir, you have widend my understanding.

I have a fear concerning skills assessment from the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Council (ANMAC). I learnt that after verifying Nigerian RN diploma certificate, it do come out to be below their standards in comparison.

with this fear, and your explanation above I concluded that my best bet is to go for nursing degree. so there comes my question...

please can you suggest school(CHEAP one oo ) that will accept RN-Bnsc top up?

I also learnt that offering degree nursing to international students is difficult. how true is it?

still afraid of my age, Will be 28 next B-Day. not married

@Tobe4real, laugh wan kill me.ooooo lol!..
Am not a female.

The processing time is how we see it.
We are in it together.
I believe, a surge in the Visa application has really contributed to the delay.

Some of our academic institutions, financial institutions, professional bodies or any other involved that might have responded or relpy to DIBP early enough when they are been written to confirm some of our documents emanating from them. Some of them can take the whole time in the world to reply to DIBP.

No doubt attention have really moved from Canada to Australia in recent time, so that sums up some of the delay we are all experiencing. Patience is the key my dear. We all just have to hang on because in the end it's all worth it.

I pray Grant fall on us all.

TravelRe: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by Albion05:
Good morning dear!..
I believe you graduated from school of nursing and so you have diploma in nursing (RN).
Is all good.

My advice and which is not final:
- Go for Bachelor degree in nursing, this will help improve your academic and career progression in this noble profession. You might decide to pursue MSC later on in your life because you must have already gotten the Bachelor degree.

The Bachelor degree earns you 2 years post graduate work permit. This helps you to buy time in other to pursue your PR mission and of course you will get it.

After your Bachelor degree in nursing, you can decide to specialize in any of the following speciality in nursing....

With your age, in the late 20's, Bachelor degree in nursing will be your right point of call. Going for certificate program will be very difficult to convinced the Case officer, because of your age and you already had a diploma in nursing. But that does not mean is not possible, it is, but difficult.

If you choose to pursue the certificate course and you were lucky to gain visa grant, after the program you are only entitled to apply for Graduate work permit but not post graduate work permit irrespective of your course as far as the Australian qualification frame work is concern, AQF.

Synopsis of Graduate work permit!...
link-https://www.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/supporting/Pages/485/requirements-graduate-work-stream.aspx

Graduate Work Stream requirements

For international students with an eligible qualification who graduate with skills and qualifications that relate to an occupation on the list of eligible skilled occupations. A visa in this stream is granted for 18 months from the date of grant.

Requirements for this visa include:
you nominate an occupation on the Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL).
your visa application included evidence that you had applied for a skills assessment for your nominated skilled occupation by a relevant assessing authority
your skills have been assessed by a relevant assessing authority as suitable for your nominated skilled occupation ('suitable skills assessment')
you have met the Australian study requirement in the past six months
each degree, diploma or trade qualification used to meet the Australian study requirement is closely related to your nominated skilled occupation.
You must nominate an occupation on the Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL). You can nominate only one occupation and you cannot change that occupation after you apply

Eligible qualifications
For the purposes of applying for a subclass 485 under the Graduate Work stream, the course/courses must have resulted in a degree, diploma or trade qualification. For example, a student may complete two consecutive Diploma level courses and satisfy the Australian study requirement under the Graduate Work stream, provided the other components of the requirement are satisfied.
Qualifications must be closely related to nominated occupation

The qualification(s) completed must be closely related to the student's nominated skilled occupation. For your qualification to be considered to be closely related to your nominated occupation, the skills underpinning the qualification must be directly transferable to that occupation. This applies to both the subject matter and the level of the qualification. For example, if you nominate 'physiotherapist' as your occupation, a degree in physiotherapy would meet this requirement, but a degree in commerce would not.

Example: Acceptable combinations of study and nominated occupations include:
an applicant who nominates 'Physiotherapist' as their skilled occupation and completes a degree in physiotherapy in Australia
an applicant who nominates 'Air-conditioning and Mechanical Services Plumber' as their skilled occupation who has completed a Certificate III in Plumbing and a Diploma of Plumbing and Services in Australia

Example: A combination of study and nominated occupation that would not be acceptable:
An applicant's nominated occupation is Registered Nurse but they satisfied the Australian study requirement on the basis of having completed a Bachelor of Commerce.
Skills assessment

It is your responsibility to arrange for the skills assessment. Contact the relevant assessing authority well before you apply for this visa, because each assessing authority has its own assessment procedures, timeframes and charges.
Contact details for Assessing Authorities are listed on the department's website.
You must apply to the relevant assessing authority to obtain a suitable skills assessment prior to lodging your application

If your nominated occupation is 'medical practitioner', evidence of your full medical registration is accepted as evidence of a skills assessment. Further information can be found on migration of medical practitioners under the general skilled migration program

If your nominated occupation is a Nurse, you must obtain a skills assessment from the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Council (ANMAC) even if currently registered to work as a nurse in an Australian state or territory

A skills assessment is only valid until the expiry date specified on the assessment, or for a period of three years from the assessment's date of issue.

N/B: Post graduate work permit is different from Permanent residence.
Courses with 2 years duration of study guarantees you 2 years post graduate work permit and not permanent residence. Some person starts early enough to pursue their PR mission and with the 2 years post graduate work permit, it helps buys time for you to pursue that.

The age care was added to certificate program as a course, before people can do that in days or few weeks to get the cert but now, it is a program on it own where you pay tuition fee for that.

As a nurse to get permanent residence is not really a big issue like that compare to some other courses.....
I have already highlighted specialities you can specialize as a nurse and obtain your PR having met the requirement of your governing body(The Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Council (ANMAC) and as well pass the English proficient test.

If you have any other question drop it, I will be willing to answer you to the best of my knowledge and other gurus in the house will do the same for you.

ferdinandurian:
good morning, I'm a registered nurse. have gone through the thread though. just want to ask you bro.
Considering that courses with below 2 years duration may not guarantee someone permanent residence
So how about Nurse Training Australia?
Most courses there... Aged care and community service for instance isn't up-to a year duration..it ranges from 36 to 60 weeks.
How's possibility of such above mentioned courses guaranteing someone a visa and Permanent residence?
I'm in late 20 and practicing for 4years now

thanks

Log into your immi account and click on the view
application. Then click on View Health assessment and answer questions regarding your health history. Save and submit your answer to get your HAP ID. Remember to do the same to arrange for your biometrics. Do not forget to click INFORMATION PROVIDED after your biometrics and medicals.

nurseafrica:
Albion God bless you so much. I just finished subsequent entrant (sub class 500 ) application yesterday. And submitted. I got a mail today on the need to do biometric but nothing on medical yet. I now researched further on Dibp site and saw that i could have generated HAP ID earlier b4 i applied through MY HEALTH DECLARATION . But as i have a submitted application i can't. So my question is. When do i fix my medical. Will they request for it. Just like they did for biometric.

TravelRe: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by Albion05:
@ Fobak203, you have said it all.
Let me re-enforce on some of the things you have said.
Congratulation @ theoophilic.
Yes, you need IELTS for your Visa application.
The IELTS result as we all know is valid for 2 years. So register for another one and sit for the exam, I know you will do well as usual.

-GTE is a holistic or comprehensive term in the real sense. All the documents you submitted as regards to your application is what will be looked at.

. Your Statement of purpose ( how well you structured it to be able to market your self very well to the case officer.
. ThankGod your first degree, MSC and phd is inline all through, so your purpose of visit will not be questioned by any case officer.
. Travel history: Your travel history is also a good one to reckon with, no violation of stay, thumbs up!...

- Talk to your institution and see if your job will be re-instated, if not, my dear find a new place and get employment letter from them. That will serve.

- Home tie: this balls down to things that can bring you back to your home country.
. Employment letter showing you are engage.
. If you are married, that's fine with kids, that's ok. Your wife, or wife and kids serve as a strong home tie.
. Investment in your home country, for example; landed properties, stocks/ Shares, fixed deposits, houses put up for rent, some persons go as far as tendering their car papers.

- Accomodation: I don't stay in Sydney but one thing I know for sure is that you will find an accommodation of $140, $ 150 and above depending on your taste and what you want in terms of proximity, facilities in the house, bond, and furnitures with other personal preferences. There is shared apartment, rooms and all that. Australians are nice people.
There are so many people ( new students, including the old ones) looking for whom to share houses with in other to cut down cost and save. So you will get. Trust me on that.
Yes, you can still send money to your siblings and family as well at the end of day, except you want to send to them all the money in Sydney....lol!.. you will be fine bro!..
You are on scholarship already, as times goes on, when you must have mastered and adapted very well to your environment, you will structure your daily activities to suit you.

One thing, I have to stay about your scholarship, is for you to go through it and know what is listed in it as your scholarship benefits.
- full tuition fees
- return air travel
- a one off establishement allowance on arrival ( some give $5,000.00).
- contribution to living expenses ( some give $1150 every 2 weeks).
- OSHC for the duration of the scholarship
- field work allowance ( for research)
Please, find out what your scholarship covers!..

You will definitely get a part time job, you will be doing. Do not mount unnecessary pressure and anxiety on your self. Your scholarship is a big plus to you.
When you get their, things might Favour you as you least expected, imagine or foresee.

First thing first, get in to the country first and there are so many ways to kill a bird.
I believe you will be fine bro!.. Goodluck!..

theoophilic:
I have read more than half of the pages of this thread and I have learnt a lot already. However, I have some questions and I appreciate kind respond.

I have just been award scholarship for 1 year Master by Research + 3 Years PhD at Macquarie University.
1. Firstly, about English Language Proficiency. Will I still need to submit IELTS cert for Visa application? I am asking because, the IELTS I took in 2015 before going for my MSc in UK is valid for 2 year (till Dec 2017). It was still valid at the time I was applying to Macquarie but now, they may not be able to verify it online as its over 2 years.

2. Also, about GTE. How can proof my GTE further. My First Degree, MSc and this intended Research degree is Chemistry, and am fine by travel history – that is, I left UK immediately after my programme, 3 months before the end of my visa stay. However, I am not currently engaged in Nigeria. A job offer I had with a Federal University before going for my MSc has not been reinstated. Will that not dent my GTE? As in, will the fact that I have no job waiting for me here, not be seen that my condition doesn’t warrant coming back to?

3. Living in Sydney. For those leaning in Sydney already, please, is it possible to get accommodation as cheap as 100-150 AUD weekly close to the Uni? About what amount is the cheapest amount to live on in Sydney. The reason for this is that, I have financial responsibility to my siblings back here in Nigeria and I will have to send money home monthly from my monthly scholarship pay. I want to be sure that this will be feasible, while I still have some savings, if I end up not working to face studies, as I have to attain excellent performance to remain on the scholarship.

4. About work, I have seen many talk about care jobs and I will definitely consider the various advice… but is it possible to get anything close to teaching? Any level of education will be fine. That’s really what I have flair for.

5. Finally, is there no means of getting PR to Australia aside the listed skills? Chemistry isn’t there and I do not plan to change my study focus. Can’t one be considered for PR if for instance I got permanent lecturing job during or after the 4 years post study visa I ll get after my PhD?
TravelRe: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by Albion05: 11:06am On Jan 24, 2018
Ok, All the best!.....

[quote author=kylexy61 post=64469487]I am still waiting for a response from them. They normally start giving out admissions decisions from February onwards.

So I'm considering all 3 options (USA, Canada, Australia) whichever suits me best.
TravelRe: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by Albion05:
@ joephemzyz, you are doing a good job. More greeze to your joint.
To add to what you said.
Am so happy for the moniker that he was able to get a Scholarship, wether half or full. It will help in offsetting some of the bills for him.

Your Auntie, is she from your maternal or paternal side?.. which ever side she may come from, yes she can sponsor you.
In her sponsorship letter, she has to refer you as her nephew, states categorically in strong terms that she will be financially responsible for your stay while you are in Australia. She has to state one or two reasons that made her or spore her into sponsoring you.
She can say that, your father was instrumental to her success today. That he contributed so much to her education and that if not for his support that she wouldn't achieve much or realized her dream of becoming.............a Chattered accountant for example!...and now she is returning the same Favour to you.

She has to also provide affidavit of sponsorship.
But in a case were she bears the same surname with you, she will just stand in as your elder sister or Auntie as far as the surname is the same.

Or
Open a domicillary account, let her transfer the dollars she wants to use in sponsoring you.
This proves a lot. In her letter of sponsorship she will say she has made available the funds you need and you have to provide the statement of account were this fund is lodge.

Or let her transfer the said fund to your parents, let them be your sponsor. This solves and entertains less question from the CO.

Make sure you have a new employment letter to tender as an evidence of what will bring you back to the country not necessarily saying you are coming back in all most each line of your sentence. Channel your energy on your abilities, what you have been doing in terms of education, work, reaseach and career progression.

Please....... get new employment letter from another organization, this will help you and also, if were you are working now wants to retain you. Let their write up of what they will offer when you are back be a juicy one....... you know why " because your Auntie who is your sponsor lives in OZ. Without a concrete evidence of you coming back, they will see it that you won't come back because you have some body already there who is a PR holder. Maximize this your scholarship well and I wish you all the best.
Your application will scale through!.... am sure of that!!!...@ KYLEXY61". Where you not able to secure scholarship in Canny or US?.. I know you had a very good grade. You know what....... Australia is a very good choice

joephemzyz:
Do y'all have the same last name?
Regardless, there should be an existing relationship between you and your sponsor , and you should be able to prove it. Also, your sponsor has to explain his/her reasons for sponsorship.
My take.....
Albion and Co.... Make una come o grin

I have no problem with you using your Cousin pays lip and getting Sponsorship letter from him. That's ok.
300k times 12 months will give you 3.6 million per annum plus some of his allowances that will be stated in his employment letter.

Then, the inflow and outflow in your cousins account, hope is ok. Your Cousins closing balance is also very important as well. He need to show at least a good sum of money as his closing balance.

Submitting only payslip of 300k and letter of sponsorship from your COUSINE will not be complete without a good closing balance in his account.
Don't really want to mention the amount but you know what is obtainable interms of closing balance.

chimax1:
Thanks for your time bro. Your inputs are always on point. My agent made mention of it not pulling through so I don't want to gamble with my chance. It won't be convenient for my inlaw to transfer funds to my cousin cos he's a business man. Do u reckon i can use my cousins payslip and sponsorship letter from him since his 300k salary meets the annual income option?
TravelRe: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by Albion05: 1:06pm On Jan 22, 2018
Both. Most schools ask for sponsors Statement of account. Is part of the GTE we are all talking about.
The school want to see that you have the fund for your program.

Obyknow:
Goodafternoon house, please my Sponsor's bank statement is it required during the school's admission application or only during visa application.
TravelRe: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by Albion05: 8:02pm On Jan 21, 2018
Let your mind skip no more!.
You have done the needful by getting back to DIBP.
Disturb the school, don't allow them to rest. Bombard them with mails and calls until they respond to you!...

umechukwu4:
.
Thanks boss. You too much in this group.I was given 7days but I wrote to them, they said they will consider it.but since then my mind de skip dt if they wait they might take an action.
TravelRe: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by Albion05: 7:34pm On Jan 21, 2018
Your agent was right and I like the choice of word you use, "MIGHT" not that is impossible. With a well explained letter of sponsorship stating why he or she is sponsoring you, affidavit of sponsorship and documents to explain relationship between both of you.
Both I leave this between you and your agent.

Yes your cousin can sponsor you!..
Let him get the following:
-Employment letter
-ID
- Birth cert (NPC)
- Landed property
-Stocks if he has any
- Fixed deposit if he has any
-pays lip as you said
- Any assets he has to show his financial muscle.
-Sponsorship letter from your Cousin
- Statement of account----- while you wait for your COE, let your Cousin sure up his account. If you can get your inlaw to transfer fund to your cousin now, let your inlaw help you on that, then if you have fund as well pay it into your cousins account to sure up the account in preparation to use it to apply for visa.
Since both of you bear the same surname that's a plus for you.
That's my input!... Goodluck!..
chimax1:
Good evening house. Pls I need candid suggestion and input from the elders in this forum. I applied to an al1 university and hopefully will get my coe soon. I submitted my in laws soa.
However , a similar case here and my agent tells me I might not get a grant from dibp with my In laws soa since I will need to submitt it irrespective of al1 status.
Can i submitt my cousins payslip and a sponsorship letter from him since we share the same surname. He earns abt 300k in the Navy. But does not have the required funds.pls your advice
TravelRe: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by Albion05: 7:12pm On Jan 21, 2018
The question will be, how long did DIBP gave you to submit your updated COE?...

If the school is delaying, disturb them while you contact DIBP that you have requested for your new COE but school is delaying. Let them know you have contacted your school.

The next thing that will happen is that if your new COE did not come on time you might miss the February resumption date if you are to start February.
You will be issued your grant based on the next available COE start date you will produce.

umechukwu4:
please house, how long can somebody delay if being asked to upload updated COE before they make decision.can it lead to immeditae denial..Demanded for that since two weeks by DIBP but school still delaying.
thanks
TravelRe: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by Albion05: 11:44am On Jan 21, 2018
@ Fadareak you don't need to contradict your self.
Are you making a statement or you are stating facts.?

The facts!..
-Two years duration of study will earn you 2 years post graduate work permit(PGWP).

- A packaged graduate diploma course of 2 years duration will also earn you 2 years PGWP.

-A Bechelor degree course will also earn you 2 years and above of work permit.

-Masters program by Course work will earn you 2 years post graduate work permit.

- Masters by research will earn you 3 years post graduate work permit.

- PHD will earn you 4 years post graduate work permit.
Many people in this forum including my humble self have seen the 1.5 years duration of masters but taking it will not qualify you for 2 years post graduate work permit.

Rather some of us always look out for packaged courses that has 2 years duration of study.
In choosing these course you have to make sure that the course or program you intend to choose or enroll will lead to PR because occasional or annually the Short term and long term skilled list are been reviewed. New ones added and some are removed.
Look for the latest update list!...

You can choose the 1. 5 years of MSC but make sure that you get your self enroll in a new program upon completion of the first one and of course you have to pay for another tuition fee for that and apply for an extension of visa to complete the new program.
As an international student you have to explore all the possible ways to gain permanent stay. (PR).

Of course, there are courses when you are through with them, they have more chances of earning you a Permanent stay.

I know of Canny, some persons doing PG program does not register all there program once, they register 1 or 2 program in other to stretch the duration to 2 years because originallly their program was meant to last for 1 year and 2 or 3 months.
So instead of finishing the program in 1 year and 2 months for example, they won't register all courses at the same time, they spread them to span to 2 years and only apply for an extension of visa for the one they had is about to expire. This is for canny!...

Go online and Google courses with high rate of PR successful in Australia.

If any of these which I have mentioned have changed, please correct me but if not.......... let it guide us in some of our decisions.

Hi everyone, please I will like more experienced people to clear up this topic, If a student undergoes a Msc Degree of 1.5 yrs like Network Security in Monash University, will he be unable to get the temporary work visa (Post graduate work stream). I think it is a misconception because on the DIBM site it says you qualify for a 2 year post graduate work visa after you are done with your Msc program by coursework, I don't really think it has to do with the amount of years you spent in the university. However, I would love to hear what the senior men in the house think.

Wow, thank you so much for this detailed and informative insights @Albion05 and @bligs. I truly appreciate. AL1 schools are really expensive but I will keep looking. My best bet is to get in through an AL1 school and transfer to MIT by God's grace.Hopefully the finance I will loose won't be that much. Thanks guys !!

You are absolutely right my dear.
The moniker in question that changed school upon arrival. The moniker arrived early enough and he was lucky the process went smoothly without hinderance.

Most times the school policy or procedure in changing most especially from their own uni to another uni might not be as fast the person might wanted it.
But changing course to another course in the same school is always straight forward and involves less time.

Is also good that the moniker knows that his is going to forfeit the initial tuition fee he paid so that he can prepare himself ahead in terms of finance.

God bless you bro!.....

I have followed every piece of your advice on this platform.

Are you in Brisbane?..
Am heading to Queensland

bligs:
Most i have meet and heard off are after their first semester with their initial unis in this case your first semester fee is gone however, there are few who change sch and course upon arriving (one is on this forum, can't recall his username for now) in this rare case you can apply for refund. The implication of changing sch or course after your first semester is that you will have to apply for visa extension at the expiration of your initial grant.
TravelRe: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by Albion05:
I also applied to AL1 school as well and so many other persons here. Make sure that your first degree is inline with your post graduate program or other related field you are going for.

I was asked
to provide Statement of account.
The era when people use AL1 schools to escape freely has gone.

You must meet the required GTE like other students. No doubt AL1 schools has some unseen advantages.
One thing again the country where you are applying also matters a lot. Recently Nigeria were moved to a higher risk assessment level.

Also, after paying the tuition deposit, is he going to forfiet the deposit he paid initially?..
No doubt people transfer from one uni to another uni so far as you don't go below the education level of which your were granted your student visa.

@ Bligs, I will like you to help this moniker in finding out how those Nigerians transferred to MIT and wether they forfeited the deposit they made initially in their previous AL1 schools.
That will help the moniker to prepare himself ahead!..
Thanks for this wonderful insight and may God continue to bless you. Information is power!..

bligs:
Heaps of Nigerians in MIT but they don't enter Australia through MIT, they entered through AL1 unis and cross to MIT due to cheaper fees, getting to Australia through MIT maybe difficult due to the fact that you have to provide extra documents to DIBP to proof you are GTE because MIT isn't a AL1 school. Personal opinion, go for AL1 unis.

Is all good. We are all here to help one another.
So I always respect people's opinion and where is not clear to me, I ask for more clarification from the house.
The moniker observed and only pointed out your aprehensiveness in relating some issues with regards to you!..
so is all good!.. No worries.
Back to our main issue before us.

I have always observed that finance is a major factor in executing a task be it academic, social and what have you.

My advice:

1. Since you hold a Bachelor degree in Accounting, go for post graduate program, i.e 2 years.

OR

2. Drop your Bachelor degree in accounting and apply for another Bachelor degree in Automobile tech since is your dream considering the economic benefit and growth you must have seen in this field. But bear in mind that BSC involves 3 to 4 years of payment of tuition fee but fund is a challenge to you, so I don't know how you can wringle your self out from this option.

3. If you can write a strong, well structured and convincing SOP to the school and the embassy why you are deviating from accounting to Automobile tech for Graduate diploma in Automobile tech and they bought into your idea and explanation you gave. That will help.

In doing so you can a create a background that prior to your Bachelor degree, you were already engaging your self in Automobile work with a company......... name withheld and you continued after gaining admission in to the university, you do this because that's what you love to do and your mind have continue to grow and wax stronger with the affinity and the technical ability you have in this field and now you want to obtain the academic prerequisites, professional skills and leadership that will enable you become a better and sound Automobile tech engineer.

Providing certificates of such company you worked and still doing part time work with them will help paint a clearer picture to any person reading it.
Over time a good SOP have done some magic that scales some people through.

All the best bro!.....
Am only making common sense considering that fund is a challenge and you really want to pursue this Automobile stuff.

@Albion my real Gee cool ...
your last post really opened my eye and made me see things in a whole different light.. THANKS FOR THAT
anyways, to the main point... i hold a B.SC accounting already(fresh graduate) and i have followed and research the PR thread but that one be like say na long thing for me given my zero work experience (enuff 75-80 pointers still dey wait for months)... but i thought to go for a fresh start in automobile tech. i see more prospect in that. Anyways its just my wild thought tho! na why i bring am to ogas like you make una epp me chook mouth for the matter. wink cheesy

You are absolutely correct bro!..
But the guy does not want to mention the course or the program in question for someone to know wether it will lead to PR or not, likewise his age ....
He holds the key to everything concerning him.

Solitin40:
Also verify very well if the Diploma will lead to PR law changes every day in Australia because if not that’s one chance your best bet is BSc or MSc
TravelRe: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by Albion05: 5:38pm On Jan 19, 2018
Ok, how old are you?..
If you are below 20 fine but if you are between 21, 22 and above, that's a red flag.
Applying for just ordinary diploma is very difficult but possible. The success rate is minimal.
If bonavature you applied for it, how will you explain the academic gap because definitely you will drop your Bachelors degree certificate.

My advice will be........

1. Apply for the diploma but (N/B that it will be very difficult to get but possible and except you have funds to throw around). The succces rate for this is minimal.

2. If you have friends, families and well-wishers who have your success and progress at heart, contact them and let them sponsor you for post graduate program depending on your CGPA wether you are qualified for Masters straight or part way to masters in your discipline or any other related field.

3. Follow the permanent residence route to save cost.

Make your decision bro and I wish you luck!...

Aieboocaar:
Osheyy boss!!.

As stated earlier, i intend to apply for just ordinary diploma package(majorly because of financial constraint) so i can atleast sponsor mysef while studying that.
i got B.Sc here in Naija tho.. but i just want to apply as a fresh WAEC pikin with zero experiencewink in an entirely different course from my B.sc
TravelRe: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by Albion05: 3:10pm On Jan 19, 2018
Homeboy as you rightly called yourself.
The hussle is real!..........

Your main concern should be for the embassy to grant you student visa first, so that you can gain entry in to the country.
Getting visa grant with diploma courses is very difficult but possible ( Are you talking about graduate diploma or just diploma )?.

You have to consider first........ your age, if you have obtained first degree or not, if the diploma course you intend to pursue has been your primary work you have been doing before.

A strong Statement of purpose or letter of intent to be able to convinced the Visa officer or case officer.

When you finally find your self in OZ with the diploma course that you applied..... yes you can pursue your permanent residence from there.

Most importantly to gain access or visa grant with diploma courses should be your concern and not PR.
Visa grant first before PR.
You can as well check this thread for PR route!..

Start from page 1 to the last pg of the thread.

Goodluck bro!!...

Aieboocaar:
Good morning all!!!

My question is, whats the percentage chance of getting PR Visa after completion of a 2year diploma course in one of those TAFE colleges

home boy wan enter OZ thru student route and God helping me, i intend to stay there permanently kiss
