Some trust in 'broom', and some in 'umbrella' but we trust in the name of the Lord our God. some said transformation must continue, others said change is all we need but Jesus Christ is saying true change and transformation can only be found in Me. What better change can you find outside Christ or what transformation do you seek that He haven't make provision for? "come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." matt.11:28. Only Him know the intent of man and the right man to rule us. We can't undertake this critical time in our history without Him. Trust Him to lead you right and don't lean on your own understanding so that you can vote wisely. Permit me to ask you, have you vote Jesus into your life? Ensure you don't vote for a mere man without first voting for Jesus; your creator. Your vote for Him is your only passport to eternity with Him. Your time for change is now; changing into a new life of Christ....this is the real transformation! |

“Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.” John 1:12 Paul tells us; “Anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!” (2 Corinthians 5:17). So what exactly is this new identity we have in Christ Jesus? Here are three things that happen when you become a child of God. You are Adopted by God “You have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, “Abba! Father!” (Romans 8:15). When you become a child of God, you are adopted. You may not have a good human father, but God is a perfect Father. He loves you no matter what. Nothing you do will change God’s love for you (Romans 8:35-39). Sin can hurt your relationship with God, but even if you sin you are still God’s child. God’s forgiving love is shown in the parable of “The Prodigal Son.” (Luke 15:11-32). You Inherit God’s Blessings “Now if we are children, then we are heirs - heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ...” (Romans 8:17). Becoming an heir means you’ll inherit God’s great riches and blessings. Jesus promised that he would secure a place for us in his Father’s House (John 14:2-3). As adopted children, he has chosen us and given us all the blessings of heaven (Ephesians 1:3,11). He has revealed his plans to us and enabled us to be heirs of His Kingdom. You Begin to Reflect God’s Image Children are often a reflection of their parents, in looks and in learned behavior. Since we are children of God, our Heavenly Father is the perfect role model. “Therefore, be imitators of God, as dearly loved children…..For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light...” (Ephesians 5:1, 8-10). As a Christian, you represent the family of God. When you become a child of God, you’ll begin to reflect God’s image. You can give others an impression of God by your actions and words. When you fully understand God’s love for you as His child, you will have power to live a life that pleases Him. Are you ready to become a child of God? We are led by the Holy Spirit. Because of the saving work of Christ, we enjoy the new life of the Spirit. "For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!” The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him." - Romans 8:14-17. As his children, the Spirit of God testifies to our spirit that we are his children in a very unique way. God disciplines us as his children. The trials and tests we face in this life prove our sonship. It also requires us to respond with perseverance. " And have you forgotten the exhortation that addresses you as sons? “My son, do not regard lightly the discipline of the Lord, nor be weary when reproved by him. For the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and chastises every son whom he receives.” - Hebrews 12:5 We imitate and honor our Father in heaven. We are to imitate God's holiness in our conduct. "Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children." - Ephesians 5:1. "In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven." - Matthew 5:16. "Do all things without grumbling or disputing, that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world." - Philippians 2:14-15. The list is more than these and you are free to add yours but most importantly, check your life and answer this question; are your a child of God?...if your answer is no, surrender it all to Him today. God bless you! for more; http://www.westridge.com/blog/post/five-benefits-of-being-adopted-as-children-into-gods-family#sthash.W56JM5Rf.dpuf |

God will all by Himself attend to you in Jesus name. we are all awaiting your testimony. |
Jesus died spiritually. the father don't need to forsake him in other that he will be able for man. Jesus didn't say that only to fulfill prophecy but because it actually happened if not then he will be lying. Psalm 22 : 1 my God my God why hast thou forsaken me ? WHY ART SO FAR FROM HELPING ME AND FROM THE WORDS OF MY ROARING? MEANING JESUS cried out for the father help but the father couldn't not that he wouldn't help him . Jesus had taken man place . Every form punishment man had to face jesus faced it . so if jesus didn't die spiritually because man had to die spiritually then he wasn't a legal sacrifice. The blood of jesus was not the only sacrifice but part of the the sacrifice. Jesus himself is the sacrifice. Hebrews 9 : 26 ...... but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away SIN BY THE SACRIFICE OF HIMSELF. The blood of bulls and goats never blotted out sin but only covered because they were not the perfect sacrifice. The word First begotten in greek is from two words PROTOS WHICH MEANS FIRST AND TIKTO WHICH MEANS TO BORN. just like when you say my first child or born . what I said also is that I have a at least a second. God is saying that he has those who follow which is the CHURCH.Resurrection mean to bring back to life. Jesus body was RESURRECTED NOT BEGOTTEN. if to BEGOTTEN MEANS TO RESURRRECT THEN JESUS SHOULD HAVE STILL BE CALLED ONLY BEGOTTEN NOT FIRST BEGOTTEN because the church had been Resurrected physically yet. if adam hadn't sinned he would have lived for ever not because he had eternal life but because death hadn't entered into the world.
i have to follow you after going through your replies...God bless you sir. pls., there is no need for arguement but trust God to open His eye to the truth in His word. shalom! |
JMAN05:which bible are you reading sir.? it was paul who made the ministry of the blood more clearer and he wrote the romans that we brought the questn.....how could he and other apostles not have confessed their sin and accept His cleansing blood?....read your bible very well pls. |
There are three possible results in a match: a win, draw or defeat. In most cases, a draw is what bridges the gap between the winner and loser. I have seen entertaining draws including the Ivory coast versus Mali 1-1 draw, but what I saw when Cape Verde played DR Congo was the most atrocious game of the tournament so far. The 30th edition has lacked the usual luster and has done injustice to the advertisement of the game and while you try wrap your head around some of the reasons, here is why I think finding the back of the net is elusive with every kick off. Caution Most teams have come to the tournament to get out of the group stages. If they are eliminated in the last eight, that is a fate they can live with because over the years, under-performing at the Africa Cup of Nations is going home at the group stage. A mentality so wrong that most teams don't feature to win tournaments or better their performance. Lack of clinical strikers The beginning of the millennium years probably produced the best forwards from Africa. From Samuel Eto'o to Mohamed Aboutreika, the final third saw incisiveness that is lacking nowadays. Showboating has taken its place instead and the result is ruing chances after throwing away games. Superstar syndrome If individualism could win you games, there wouldn't be an Afcon. This is the Afcon where most players have opted to play for the names at the back of their shirts instead of the ones in front. Everyone is going for glory and everyone ends up in disrepute before the blame game ensues again. Epitome of the modern footballer The modern footballer would prioritize money over patriotism. This tournament has been reduced to bonuses and allowances. Whether you win or draw or lose, you pocket money, which is a skewed approach to salvaging any chances left of playing for pride. Paradigm shift Small teams have caught up with big teams and are staking their claim to the prestigious tournament. This could be a reason why it has become difficult to contest because every team shows up to prove their worth. source; http://www.superboxing.co.za/football/africa-cup-of-nations/news/150124/Understanding_Afcon_stalemates add your own reason/s....i'll be back with more. |
@ starlingbawa & lolaredvelvet, you are most welcome. I'm glad it helped. do have a blessed Sunday! |
nice one, op. in summary, sin in general must be avoided if we are to please God our creator. nothing brings death(separation from God) than sin as explained in Rom. 5:12. if you want to enjoy a robust relationship with God and thereby be His favorite, flee all appearance of sin! https://www.nairaland.com/2110045/armor-god-explained#30107110 |
"Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore, put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground and after you have done everything, to stand." Ephesians 6:11-13, NIV Every Christian needs to know how to battle evil. God gives us detailed instructions on how to battle evil. 1.The Belt (of Truth): "Stand firm in the belt of truth buckled around your waist" Ephesians 6:14. The belt of truth involves two places; our hearts and our minds. Truth keeps us secure in Christ and makes effective all the other pieces of armour. The belt of truth holds our amour in place. Commit yourself daily to walk in the light of God's truth. "Teach me your ways, O Lord, that I may live according to your truth!" Psalm 86:11. 2.The Breastplate (of Righteousness): "with the breastplate of righteousness in place," Ephesians 6:14 - A soldier with a breastplate goes into battle boldly with confidence. The devil is constantly attacking with lies, accusations and reminders of past sin. Without the breastplate of righteousness, these will penetrate your heart. Become aware of who you are in Christ Jesus. Come boldly into His presence (Hebrews 4:16). 3.The Shoes (of Peace & Preparation): "For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared." Ephesians 6:15 - Shoes allow us to step freely and without fear while we turn our full attention to the battle at hand. They aid in our movement and defense. The shoes God gives propel us onward to proclaim the true peace, which is available in Christ. Prepare yourself to follow the Lord no matter what. 4.The Shield (of Faith): "Above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one." Ephesians 6:16 - The shield not only defends our whole body but also our armor. The shield of faith has a very specific function, which the Bible makes abundantly clear: quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. Not some but all of them. The shield moves with the attack no matter the direction. 5.The Helmet (of Salvation): "Take the helmet of salvation." Ephesians 6:17 - Satan's target: Your mind. Satan's weapon: Lies. The enemy wants to make us doubt God and our salvation. The helmet protects our minds from doubting the truth of God's saving work for us. "Since we belong to the day, we must be serious and put the armor of faith and love on our chests, and put on a Helmet of the Hope of Salvation" 1 Thessalonians 5:8 6.The Sword (of The Spirit): Put on "the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God." Ephesians 6:17 - The sword of the Spirit is the only weapon of offense in the armor, but the Word/Bible is also a tool for defense. Strongholds, arguments and thoughts are all weapons the enemy uses against us. With the Sword of the Spirit, God's word, the people are equipped to deal with them all. We need to trust in the truth of God's Word. Have confidence in the value of God's word. Get a hunger and desire for it. 7.Prayer. "Pray In the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere." Ephesians 6:18. source;http://www.wikihow.com/Put-on-the-Armor-of-God |
why insulting the lecturere?..wisdom is profitable to direct. she wont have fint herself in that mess if she didnt insult him and hurt his ego. since you post this in religious section, i'll give you a godly answer. i i'm her, i'll go back to my God but the problem is, did she know Jesus?...if No, knowing Him will be a starting point for her deliverance from the lecturer. one thing i know for sure is that, there is a way out with Jesus..shalom! |
you question is a serious one because understanding it helps us alot to know what sin does. ..let us go back to Rom. 5:12.."therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned"..one thing that is clear from this verse is than sin brought death. everytime we sin, something in us die and that is our spiritual connection with God; we loss sight of God(that is spiritual death)..see how adam and eve hide themselves from God because they lost Him as soon as they ate the forbidden friut and God banished them from the garden(His domain where He does fellowship with them). So, the death in those verse is first of all spiritual. So, when the bible says the wages of sin is death, i believe that is what it meant; every time we sin, we die spiritually and when it is left unconfessed and without the ministry of the blood of Jesus, real death follows..i.e the death of the body and soul. I must add this., to escape the second death, we must embrace the ministry of the blood of Jesus, His cross and resurrection for a complete victory over the Old Man. |

An2elect2:there is no mix up there...yes, faith is not equal to God and i never said so but without God, there is no faith...in another faith, we are talking about faith today because Jesus Christ(the Word in John.1:1) came. in the old testament, what look like it is trust. God doesnt give it to whoever He want but it is for everybody who believe in His Son Jesus Christ.John 3:16......in another word, faith is as free and His salvation which came through His Son.... and as for what we need to do to earn it or the qualification, i've explained that before....it is as represented in Rom.10:17. but the first thing is knowing the Jesus Christ of the Word and thereafter, we'll build our faith through constant study and meditation on His Word. when we do this, the Holy Spirit in Us quicken us and build our faith up. i hope that settles it! |
An2elect2:first in Rom. 10:17, it comes through the 'WORD' but the bible speaks more on who is the WORD in john 1:1..;..'in the begining was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God'..reading further, we know the Word there is simply talking about Jesus Christ. He exist from the begining, before genesis and was giving to Us to make us a new being through His death and resurrectn. consequently, if He exist from the begining and remain the authur of the Word, then faith had been in existence long ago. it comes to life in us when we search and find Him in Him Word. Heb. 12:2 says..Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith...without Him, there is no faith; without the Him, there is no Word! |
Truth24:lol....hakuna matata! |
An2elect2:sure, it is a gift but an already given gift long ago left for you and me to find through His spoken and written Words as explained in Rom.10:17. |
jnrbayano:You'll know when you geniunely surrender your life to Him. |
An2elect2:"....so then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God." Rom. 10:17.. faith comes by hearing and reading the Word of God. |
We’ve all heard it before: “Don’t swallow your gum! It’ll stay in your system for seven years!” Not to burst anyone’s bubble, but that statement is full of hot air. When swallowed, gum is processed and excreted just like anything else you eat. Dr. Anthony Watkins, transplant surgeon at NY-Presbyterian Hospital, chews on the matter: “Lo and behold if we swallow the gum, it will be subjected to the same course that regular food is subjected to.” Gum does contain gum base which is not easily absorbed by the body, but anyone who says it will set up shop for longer than a couple days is handing you a pack of lies. Dr. Watkins says that typically within 48 hours after swallowing the gum, any part of it left intact by your digestive system will simply be passed through your body, leaving nothing to gum up the works. source; http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/healthbusters/does-gum-stay-in-your-system-for-7-years-161445495.html |
