You obviously don't know anything about "general" church administration. In most churches, tithes are never paid to the pastors but to church. So the pastor pays his/her tithe to the church just like the members.

A1PHA:
This argument about the origin of Christmas should not be ignored.what many Christians believe is that it's the celebration of the birth of Christ
But there was no evidence that early Christians and apostles celebrated it.
It was made popular by the Romans the have a reputation of paganism and the fact that the date coincides with the day of a pagan god makes it dubious.
If it's okay to celebrate your own birthday or that of your loved ones, why isn't it okay to celebrate your saviou; Christ the king? As for daddy freeze and the likes who keeps auguing about dates and who's been celebrated on 25th before now, it's a stupid augment. God created all days and as Christians, whenever we agree to celebrate any good thing, it's recognized in heaven(note the word agreement) unless it's against God's will. It is nemrod or those gods that daddy freeze are referring to that are in error because before anybody start worshipping them; there's God.

He's might not be lying tho.. I also suffered similar fate during my undergraduate days in that same university some years back. Some of those teblik and alufa lecturers can be plain overzealous and devilish.

My one case was like this.

So I was charging my phone at the back of the class before exam started. (It was at the extreme back adjacent to the door where a socket was used to connect the air conditioner for the classroom. I left it there when they started calling our matric numbers. Then I was seated at the front row. I dey front row while phone they charge for back back and it was even switched off. Then an invigilator lecturer entered and shouted "who is charging this phone here". grin. Me wey dey front seat stood up , waived my hand and answered " I'm the one sir". Before I could say anything else the idiot don hand me A4 paper make i write statement grin. He instantly concluded I had the intention of cheating. Me sef i lose my temper instantly ...I was like WTF, how can I be seated at the front row and my phone is charging in the extreme end of the class and u talk say I wan cheat. That statement infuriated him and the mofo seize my ID card join and took up the case to the student disciplinary committee. I was in final year then and it was my second to the last paper. It took the intervention of my supervisor who was a senior lecturer if not I must have probably been expelled.

Expelled UNILORIN Student Begs Management For Compassion

A student of the University of Ilorin, Alada Babatunde, has appealed to the management of the institution for "compassionate consideration" after the "regrettable mistake" that led to his expulsion from the school.
The final year student of the Department of Vetinary Surgery and Radiology, Faculty of Vetinary Institution, was expelled for alleged examination misconduct.
Babatunde was accused by the university's Students' Disciplinary Committee (SDC) of being caught with a Blackberry phone containing materials relevant to the examination written on July 24 during the 2016/2017 academic session.
According to the letter of expulsion signed by the Registrar, Modupe Olowoleni, a soft copy of which was made available to SaharaReporters, Babatunde was expelled after the SDC found him guilty of examinations misconduct.
However, Babatunde denied the allegations, stating that he wasn't involved in examination malpractice. He added that he has responded to the allegation through a letter to the Students’ Disciplinary Committee to debunk the allegations.
In the letter written to the Students' Disciplinary Committee, he argued that the said phone was neither caught with him nor was he caught using the phone in the exam hall.

The letter read: "It is worthy to note that the phone was switched off while charging and kept in a place very far from my reach (at the window side, to avoid it being stolen) when the invigilator saw it and took it, while the exam was ongoing.
“As I look forward to your compassionate consideration on the regrettable mistake of keeping the switched off phone close to the examination hall, I also tender my apology that it was not intended for any form of examination malpractice or misconduct."
He lamented not being given fair hearing, noting that there was no proper proceeding during his appearance at the panel. He added that the invigilator who was said to have caught him was not called to testify against him during the disciplinary committee sittings.
“Neither was my phone or alleged materials viewed in my presence to guarantee fair hearing, despite the demand of the chairperson of the SDC, Professor N.Y.S. Ijaiya to see the invigilator, to ensure fair hearing and a just conclusion,” he added.
In his appeal, Babatunde said the chief invigilator during the examination was also not informed of any examination misconduct, in accordance with the university’s guidelines.

Some of the students who were present during the examination said Babatunde was just being victimised, as he was not caught using the phone and the said phone was even out of his reach.
One of the students, who simply identified herself as Rukayat, said: “We are all surprised to hear that Alada Aliyu Babatunde was expelled. I was present in the class on that day. The phone was very far away from any student and the invigilator never questioned him. To hear that he is being punished speaks volume of the system.
“I am sure if some of us were called to give account of what transpired, he would not have been expelled."
Responding to SaharaReporters' text message on the issue, Vice Chancellor of the university, Professor Sulyman Age Abdulkareem, denied victimising the student.
"What you heard is not true. We have a very good system that victimises no one," the message read.

I call on the University management to revisit this case with the urgency it demands and give the guy a fear hearing.

Nazaretha1:
In Mat 23:23 and Luke 11:42, the Lord was referring to the Pharisees, the scribes and the lawyers and let's not forget that these people were Israeli nationals. That verse had nothing to do whatsoever with gentiles, nor the church receiving tithes of money. Remember, the verse said, "mint, anise and cumin", these are plants. In fact, the Lord made it clear that giving tithes etc, though good and lawful when it's been given to those who have rights to it (the levites) is less important than loving God and doing what is right in his sight.
Here, Christ not only confirmed that tithe should be given only to those who the Mosaic law stated that it be given, not gentiles, not even non-levitical jews, but also confirmed that tithe should be given as farm produce.
Yes, according to apostle Paul in 1st Corinthians 9, the work of God needs not just spiritual assistance or importation, men of God, people of God etc should also be assisted with monetary, material things. It is not just lawful but it is a good thing if we truly are stern believers in the Lord. He who works should be appreciated although Paul knows that his reward comes from God but while he was here, he had needs to (remember when he thanked the church for sending him clothing and food etc). These things are human necessities, they had nothing to do with tithing. Paul was a Benjamite, he, nor any of the apostles, even some disciples from the tribe of Levi never received tithes because thy knew that it was unlawful for those who are not levites and those who were levites knew that they would be fulfilling a part of the law without fulfilling others and a curse will be upon them. Besides, they knew they were not subject to the Mosaic law anymore but have been reconciled to God through grace.
Hebrew 7, the whole chapter plainly talks about the uniqueness of the forever priesthood of Jesus, relating to Melchizedek who was not from the house of Levi, Jesus also was not from the house of Levi. The chapter says it can be counted as Levi, in Abraham's loins paid tithe to Melchizedek, proving the superiority of Melchizedek to the law of Moses; this was Jesus is also superior to the law of Moses.
This chapter never, again does not tell us to give tithes to pastors, if we pay tithes to them, we're living according to the levitical levites, mortal men like pastors. Jesus Christ is superior to the law of Moses. If Jesus Christ is superior to the law of Moses and Levi, in Abraham's loins paid tithe to Melchizedek or Jesus, why then do we need to give tithes to pastors or even levites anymore since we now live above the law by our saviour himself?
Dear brother, it seems to me that we're plainly paying tithes according to the law we are now superior to through the Lord Jesus Christ which is not supposed to be so.

You've narrowed it down to whether tithing should be a new testament thing or not and to whom it should be given(levies or pastors) but I'll just emphasize Jesus perspective on tithing this way;

In Matthew 23:23 and Luke 11:42(please study this passages with different versions for clearer understanding) Jesus referred to tithing as something that should not be neglected…

“Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You give a tenth of your spices—mint, dill and cummin. But you have neglected the more important matters of the law—justice, mercy and faithfulness. You should have practiced the latter, without neglecting the former.”

So if you are still wondering what Jesus said about tithing or if “tithe” is in the New Testament, you have it right there in Luke 11:42.
Secondly on to who should our tithe be given in this new covenant is simply whoever represent the levite in the new covenant. Remember when Jesus died on the cross and immediately, the viel seperating the "holy place" from the rest of the temple was rent into two signifying that we all have direct access to God through Jesus Christ and hence no need for any levite or priest to make "sacrifice" on anyone's behalf. So levite or priest is no longer by birth but by choices we make to dedicate ourselves unto God... The same applies to "Nazareth". No more Jews, or levite or gentiles classification in this new covenant; the only common denominator is Christ Jesus.
However, a new provision for spiritual offices like apostles, evangelists, pastors, bishops, deacons etc as clearly specified in the new testament and in place of temples, we have churches. So, the people in this "offices" are now the livites and priests of our time..

Dear brother, there is nothing contradictory in the least to what I posted. I'd like to reiterate that I'm not a follower of daddy freeze but relative to tithing and first fruits, though, he uses languages that I personally do not like, I agree with him on the subject. I'll make a quick summary.
Tithes are to be given to the levites who in turn give to the priests solely because the Lord commanded that they do not have an inheritance of lands, etc among the children of Israel.
Tithes are to be given in farm produce and livestock materials.
Tithes cannot be converted to money except when the house of worship is far, it should be sold in exchange for money while the family or the individual goes to wherever the Lord their God will choose, use all of the money to purchase food and drinks, eat and be merry in the presence of the Lord, their God.
Although the law is good as it comes from God, we are not subject to it anymore because of the fulfilment of the law in the Lord Jesus Christ however, whoever wishes to stay in the laws of Moses, e.g; today's Israelis, a curse be upon them if and only if they cannot fulfill every one of those laws written in the the Mitzva which is almost impossible, which is why the Lord Jesus had to come in the first place.
According to the Mosaic laws, it is unlawful for gentiles (non-jews) to receive the levitical tithing and first fruits because pastors are not Israelis, neither are they from the tribe of Levi, neither are they priests, neither do they receive tithes in farm produce and livestock, neither do they obey the other laws in the Torah which they obviously couldn't.
Again, even in today's Israel, the levitical tithes and first fruits are not being paid because there is no temple. The Temple Mount alongside Jerusalem was destroyed in 70 CE by the Roman Empire as the Lord Jesus prophesied.
Brother, I advise you to download the 613 Mitzvot PDF and see how you (and all of us) are breaking them. Many of them you would've not even heard of. It's the same with every Christian since we are not subject to the Mosaic law but we fulfil it as our Lord also did.
Little wonder did the Lord himself not receive tithes, neither did his disciples and they never compelled anyone to. Even the fathers of protestant reformation in the 1500s did not.
The scriptures I typed are those that support tithing but only to those who are legally entitled to it as the Mosaic law is concerned. Not pastors, descendants of the tribe of Levi (check Heb 7:5-6).
Bro, let me reiterate that those scriptures support giving tithes and first fruits only to those entitled to it which are the levites and it's solely because they do not have an inheritance of lands etc among God's people according to God's commands. Heb 7:5-6, Num 18:24.

Interesting!!!... But let's look at it this way..
“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin [that is, various herbs], and have neglected the weightier matters of the law: justice and mercy and faith. These you ought to have done, without leaving the others [tithes] undone” (Matthew 23:23; compare Luke 11:42, emphasis added throughout).

Here, only days before His death by crucifixion, Christ plainly confirmed that tithing should be practiced, along with spiritual adherence to the “weightier” matters that the scribes and Pharisees were obviously neglecting.

God had earlier instructed the Israelites to support the tribe of Levi for its temple service. They did this by giving the Levites God’s tithe—this support providing the means for Israel to worship the Creator and be taught according to His will.

But with the destruction of the temple in A.D. 70, the functioning of the Levitical priesthood in the national worship system was not able to continue in the same way. Moreover, Jesus had given the awesome responsibility to proclaim God’s truth to the Church He built (Matthew 16:18; Matthew 28:18-20).

Even prior to the temple’s destruction, members of God’s Church and followers of the gospel message gave monetary and other types of aid to Jesus and His apostles, disciples and later other laborers helping to spread the gospel. The work Christ had given His Church to do had to be supported (1 Corinthians 9:9-14).

Anticipating the end of the national worship system, Hebrews 7:12 refers to a change in the administration of tithing that accompanied a change in the priesthood. In Hebrews 7:1-19 it’s explained that the ancestor of the Levites, Abraham, paid tithes to the priest-king Melchizedek—a figure called the “king of righteousness” and “king of peace,” with no beginning or end, who was evidently the preincarnate Jesus. And now the tithes would go directly to Melchizedek again through His representatives.

The New Testament Church—the spiritual temple of God (1 Corinthians 3:16; Ephesians 2:19-22)—was superior to the physical temple that was destroyed when Jerusalem fell to the Roman army. And as the Church’s representatives, the New Testament apostles became the recipients of the tithes of God’s people (see Acts 4:35-37).

When we carefully explore the New Testament and the experience of the early Church, we should understand that the emergence of the Church did not mean a radical departure from the religious practices of the nation of Israel. Both the apostles Peter and Paul clearly upheld Old Testament teachings (2 Peter 1:20-21; 2 Peter 3:2, 2 Timothy 2:15; 2 Timothy 3:15-17).

Not until several decades after the founding of the New Testament Church does the book of Hebrews clarify the impact this new spiritual administration involving tithing had on the Church.

Because of its continuance in Old Testament practices, though sometimes applied in a new way, for decades the Church was regarded by outsiders as merely another sect of the Jews, but one that believed in the divinity of Jesus Christ. The Church is the spiritual forerunner in Israel’s New Covenant relationship with God and is even called “the Israel of God” in Galatians 6:16.

The opportunity for salvation was extended beyond the nation of Israel and offered to non-Israelites—those who would be called into the Church from all nations, being thereby grafted into Israel (see Romans 11:1-36; Ephesians 2:11-19; 1 Peter 2:9-10). This new spiritual nation would provide obedience through a converted heart (Matthew 21:43).

Read up those scriptures bro. According to the laws of Moses in the Torah, the 613 Mitzvot, it is unlawful for these pastors to recieve tithe as it is. We know the works of the Lord needs money to get things done but Elokim himself cannot be shamed by people who try to tweak His words to serve their bellies nor his gullible children who wouldn't study the scriptures to see the truth. Look, even Galatians 3:10 says anyone who does not continue to do all of the laws in the Mitzvot and the Torah, a curse is placed on them. And have you seen the 613 Mitzvot laws, even Israelis find it difficult to fulfil them talkless of us who just pick the ones that suit us. So a curse is placed on anyone who wishes to stay under the law. Besides, tithes, only of farm produce and the tenth animal are to be given to levites who then give to priests solely because the levites don't have an inheritance among the Israelites.
You can download a PDF of the 613 Mitzvot and judge for yourself if you're cursed based on Galatians 3:10 or not.
Selah!

Like seriously I don't even know how to reply you as you just keep contradicting yourself... Don't be confused pls.and I'll break your very writeup down without adding mine.
You've carefu.lly quoted verses that supports tithes giving mostly from the old testament and you quoted Galatians 3:10 "anyone who does not continue to do all of the laws in the Mitzvot and the Torah, a curse is placed on them." so you already agreed that anyone who refused to follow those laws(tithe inclusive) is cursed as emphasized by you. Now tell me what's is the basis of your support for daddy freeze doctrine? Why condemning those who choose to obey the laws as given?
That is just from your very post bro... I could add mine if you're not still clear. BTW all those mitzvot and Torah stuffs isn't my business until I fully understand all the bible; so spare me.

Family / Re: My Sister Is Crying Inconsolably After Giving Birth. Please Help! by Alexk2(m): 5:10am On Dec 16, 2018
DrFlora:
There's this my sister that has two female children

She took in for her third child but refused to go for scan. Few days to her delivery time, she finally accepted to do the scan.

The result of the scan showed that she is carrying a girl. This is where the problem started. She started crying, calling everybody and weeping heavily.

When she first called my other sister, she thought maybe, she has lost the baby.

It was when I listened closely to the crying voice of my sister that I understood what actually happened. I had to call my other sister to tell her the true reason my sister is crying.

Fast forward to few weeks later, my sister became due for delivery but she refused to go to hospital.

The pregnancy water came out of her body but she still stayed at home, the blood which is the last stage before the baby comes out also came out of her body while she was still at home.

It is not until the baby stopped making movement that she had to visit the hospital.

When she got there, the baby was already weak and the doctor said that any further delay could have seen the baby dead in the womb.

My sister wanted to rush home immediately after giving birth. It was the doctor that forced her to stay for an additional day to ascertain the condition of her health and that of the baby.

She went home the next day without telling anybody that she has given birth. Not until the husband came home (he wasn't around the day she delivered).

Three days after, the husband started calling all of us (her siblings) to please call my sister and ask her what the problem is.

You will not believe that my sister is still crying inconsolably.

As I type this, I am feeling hurt and pity for the poor innocent child that came out to this world to meet a mother that spites her simply because she is a girl.

My sister as I type, has refused to pick our calls. I didn't know people will still think and behave this way in 2018.

Please, is it normal for a mother of a newborn baby to be crying profusely, simply because she has given birth to three girls?

Our fear is that she might hurt that baby as she has demonstrated during the late pregnancy stage when she was due to deliver.

Please, any suggestions on how to make her come back to her senses and know that children are from God?

Please, I need your contributions
Please let her seek medical help immediately. She's probably depressed and the "gender issue" of the baby is just and alibi to make you all think otherwise until it's too late.
FOR the sake of the baby and her very self, let her see a qualified doctor immediately pls.
