Family and friends of Vera Oluchukwu Agolua have been thrown into mourning following her untimely death on Sunday. Late Agolua, until her death, was the reigning Miss Ogbaru LGA in Anambra State. She celebrated her birthday on January 19th, 2019″

Deji Adeyanju who’s the Convener of Concerned Nigerians, has been released on bail by a Kano State Magistrate Court.

Former minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode confirmed that the activist was granted bail in the sum of N500,000 and two sureties.

The court also ordered him to deposit his international passport.

Fani- Kayode on his Twitter page wrote: “Great news that Adeyanju Deji has been granted bail after spending over 60 days in a Kano prison simply because he spoke truth to power. We give thanks to God. I am so proud of this deeply courageous and inspiring young man. Head bloodied but not bowed!

Adeyanju had spent 63 days in prison before his release was granted on Monday.

The founder of Prince Osisioma foundation, Prince Onyeka Eze is a devoted and committed humanitarian, who has been engaged in several projects to alleviate suffering and further promote the value of human lives through skills acquisition and empowerment.

The renovated cell structure by Prince Onyeka Eze, also homed the empowerment of inmates with skills and trainings that could basically help them become independent after serving their jail sentences.

Queen Silva Chidera, Miss Indigenous south east, has commenced her Indegenous Project Tour in Abuja, as she reaches out to over 400 kids, including mothers and teenagers. She extended her undying support for the underprivileged kids across Nigeria.

During the tour, over 400 children were fed and several indegenous products were shared to kids and mothers. Some of the products are liquid soap, clothes, shoes and many other extensions of love.

A newly-wed couple in Kuwait recently made history for having the shortest marriage in the country’s existence. They decided to go call it quits only three minutes after getting married.


The media in Kuwaiti, last month, reported the bizarre case of a couple who ended their marriage before even leaving the courthouse they got married in. The two had just signed their marriage contract in front of a judge and were walking out of the courthouse when the bride accidentally tripped. Instead of helping her up, the groom reportedly insulted his wife by calling her “stupid” for slipping. That was apparently too much for the woman to bear, so she turned around and asked the judge to dissolve their marriage on the spot. They had been married for only three minutes.

According to Q8 News, this was the fastest divorce in the history of Kuwait, and probably of the whole world.

The news of this record-breaking divorce went viral on Twitter last week, with most commenters joking and ridiculing the couple for wasting the judge’s time. Some, however, took the bride’s side, saying that she made the right call. If the groom insulted her so early into their marriage, who knows what he would have done later on, one person wrote.

“If this is how he acts right at the beginning, it’s better to leave him,” one Twitter user commented.

“A marriage with no respect, is a failed one right from the beginning,” another one added.

Some suspected that the bride was simply looking for an excuse for the quick divorce, which isn’t that far-fetched considering Kuwait’s problem with “interest-driven marriages”.

According to an article in the Arab Times, the loans and financial assistance provided by the state to newly-married couples has caused the divorce rate in the Middle-Eastern country to skyrocket in recent years.

Many young people tie the knot only to benefit from the state’s incentives, and then quickly file for divorce. It’s obviously not the only reported cause for divorce in Kuwait, but it’s definitely one of the most worrying ones.

A four-year-old boy, Munenyasha Makotose , has stunned the public after he was announced winner of a Toyota Vitz in a raffle draw.

The boy is from Chivi Growth Point, Zimbabwe. His mother, a vendor bought him a $2 ticket in the Police Commissioner General Godwin Matanga Raffle.

An elated Blessing Musarira (29) said she never expected that her son would win in the raffle.

According to reports by Masvingo mirror, the car was collected from Ntabazinduna in Bulawayo last week Tuesday where the raffle draw took place. Musarira said she was ecstatic when she received a call that her son had won a car.

The toddler’s father Tafirashe Makotose(38) is a mechanic. Musarira said she was filled with joy when she received a call that her son had won a car.
“I never expected that, I was very happy when I was called to come and collect the car, it is a big development in the family. I am just a mere vendor at the Growth Point and I thank God for such a blessing,” said Musarira.
Police National Spokesperson Chief Superintendent Paul Nyathi said all the winners received their prizes last week.

The Nigerian Police has on recovered 17 sacks containing thumb-printed ballot papers in Sabon Gari area of Kano.

Alexreports understands from a source that the ballots have already been thumb-printed on the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC box.

The source also revealed that the sacks are being transported to the state police command headquarters for further investigations.
