There is palpable tension in Imo State following reports that thugs have invaded the State ahead of Saturday's governorship and State Assembly elections.

A local tabloid in the State had reported last week that some desperate politicians have imported thugs into the State for the polls.

This is as IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu revealed on Radio Biafra that the ruling APC have assigned election riggers in the 27 local governments in the State.

Also there have been fears raised by the PDP that the State Governor, Rochas Okorocha who is backing his son in law, Uche Nwosu may have also imported thugs with fake police and army uniforms. The 'APC had raised similar allegations.

Okorocha had been in the eye of the storm lately when he was accused by the Returning Officer, RO, for Imo West Senatorial elections, Innocent Ibeabuchi, of putting him (Ibeabuchi) under duress to declare him (Okorocha) winner of the Senatorial election.

Security agencies have been called upon to checkmate the influx of these thugs and ensure that the elections are free and fair.

A coalition of Young Candidates of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Ogun state chapter has declared their support for Dr. Dapo Abiodun in the March 9 Governorship elections in Ogun state. This was made known to newsmen this morning via a press communique issued by CYCFRN Ogun state chapter.

The communique which was signed and issued by the youngest gubernotorial candidate in Ogun state, Mr. FBI Oyefeso of Justice Must Prevail Party, and 33-year-old Opeyemi Adelaja, Alliance for New Nigeria (ANN)’s House of Assembly candidate in the state contained the demands of various political parties for the development of the entire youths across the state.

”The time has come for us to make known the demands of over 3,500,000 youths in our dear Ogun.

”We are all here as young candidates from different political parties across the three (3)bSenatorial Districts in Ogun, but with one vision, mission, and goal under one
objective.

”This has made us so powerful beyond expectations and the world is watching.

”After extensive dialogue, we the young candidates of Ogun have come together

”We will work assiduously in ensuring that you emerge victorious during the forthcoming governorship election slated for the 9 of March with our support across the state,” they added.

The group, which said its mission was to use the movement as an avenue to drum support for Abiodun’s election regardless of their political parties, urged the APC candidate to implement the 50% youth inclusion in government they clamoured for if elected as governor.

”We will also urge you to address youth unemployment, underemployment and underdevelopment head-on,” the group said.

Rivers AAC Guber Candidate Risks Disqualifications As He Flouts INEC Canpaign Rules

The electoral law of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for political parties campaign timeframe has been disregarded and bridged, as the Rivers AAC Candidate Engr Awara Biokpombo continues his campaign less than 24hours into the election date.

He promised to constitute an Elders Advisory Council and a Monitoring Committee that would be saddled with the responsibility of monitoring the implementation of Government Projects. Nwulu made it clear that he is not desperate to be Governor, a sharp departure from the disposition of some of his co contestants who are willing to resort to unconventional practices just to get into public office.

“I m not a desperate and bitter politician. Rather I sincerely believe in God because total power comes from him. I shall be a listening Governor and I will restore the dignity of traditional Rulers in Imo State.

Nwulu’s speech captivated the monarchs as pin drop silence enveloped the palatial Obi- Eze Ndi Imo as he spoke and the revered traditional rulers nodded their heads in approval as they listened with rapt attention.

In his remarks, the Chairman of the Council, Eze Samuel Ohiri encouraged Nwulu’s ambition.

OLAKUNLE CHURCHILL LEGAL TEAM DEBUNKS FAKE JUDGEMENT ON CHILD CUSTODY CLAIM AND BLACKMAILS AFTER LEGAL INVESTIGATION.

Olakunle Churchill has reacted to the false publication of an alleged judgement by a customary court in Abuja granting his Ex wife, Actress Tonto Dikeh full custody of their son on 4th March. He made this reaction after an in-depth investigation through a notice of disclaimer issued by his legal team, stating that there was no court of such or judgment by the alleged customary court.

According to the disclaimer, the alleged false judgement by a customary court in Abuja is false and the publication by a questionable online platform "Cutie Juls" blog as regards the false court judgement was supposedly sponsored by the Actress which is baseless and lacks substantial evidence

Recent Investigations also proved that "Cutie Juls" blog has over time been used and sponsored by Tonto Dikeh to blackmail and promote fake news in view of tarnishing the reputable image of Olakunle Churchill. It revealed that the claims by Tonto Dikeh on the issue of domestic violence, infections and baseless blackmails with reference to an earlier interview video which Tonto Dikeh granted as facts to approve the validity of her claims were misleading.

Senior Associate and head of the the legal team reiterated that the only standing judgement on the custody of their son was the judgement filed at the instance of Actress Tonto on the *11th of October 2017 as suit no. FCT/CC/DU/CV/176/2017*.

[b]The court judgement also ordered that all documents of their son must bear the surname of the ex-husband Olakunle by right and that the international passport of their son must be kept in the bank and shall not be released except a written consent of both parties. In justification to the discredited reports by the publication, Ace Solicitors has dared the publisher of the fake story to name the particular court and suit number of the case file, if actually the story is verifiable and substantial. He also condemned the disobedience of Actress Tonto as regards the judgement of 31st January 2018, which gave him unconditional access of their son, King Andre.

He however advised the Actress to desist from sponsoring fake news and blackmails on Dr. Olakunle Churchill. However, according to a reaction from Dr. Olakunle Churchill, he advised Tonto Dikeh to return to work and allow him continue his business, good works and Philanthropic impacts.

The Solicitors also counselled Tonto Dikeh to channel her proposition through legal provisions and constitutional pathways rather than sponsoring blackmails against Dr Churchill.

750 Youths Graduate Under 2nd Batch Of Anambra Govt’s One Youth, One Skill Initiative


Seven hundred and fifty youths have graduated under the second batch of One Youth, One Skill Initiative Of Anambra State Government.

The initiative piloted under the Ministry of Youth Empowerment and Creative Economy is targeted at empowering more than ten thousand youths in the state.

The programme was launched in 2018 and this graduation brings to one thousand five hundred the number of persons trained under the scheme.

The training covers Paint Making; Make Up, Gele, and Wig Making, Cosmetology, Website Designing, Computer Software Development and Maintenance and were trained at four different centers in the three Senatorial Districts of the State.

Speaking to the graduands, the Commissioner for Youth Empowerment and Creative Economy, Mr. Bonaventure Enemali explained that apart from the programme helping to provide job opportunities for the beneficiaries, it was also tailored to fill in the needs in emerging economic subsectors in the State.

Accompanied to the event by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Mrs. Steph-Kelly Uzor, the Youth Empowerment Commissioner said the programme also fulfills Governor Willie Obiano’s vision that every youth in Anambra State is empowered with at least a skill.

Two of the beneficiaries Miss Chika Onyedibe and Mr. Nkenke Nnatu while appreciating the opportunity given to them noted that it will not only make them self reliant but as well help them to empower others.

The CHRSJ further emphasized that Nigeria Custom Officers are always going beyond their Mecuarntance an Unconstitutionally involved themself on the duty that is not legally belong to them and it is caused many innocent life of Nigerians to suffered the similar fate of late Onoja in the hand of this so call Custom Officials, among whom was Late Ayo Dada who was killed by the Custom Officer with a white Hilux vehicle at Ajao Checking Point along Idiroko Road of Ogun State, one Ojo Abiola was seriously subjected to illegal torture and Mr. Oyeniran Ebenezer was shot in his right leg on 16th October, 2018 at about 2p.m in Ihunbo town under Ipokia Local Government, which Ojo Abiola and Oyeniran Ebenezer spent almost three Month some Days under intensive care at undisclosed hospital around Ogun State and so call those Custom Officials still looking around to kill them, most especially Ebenezer Oyeniran which his House at Atewolara in Odofin Quarters at Iyana Ita Egbe Bus Stop in Ihunbo town was illegally invaded, took his Pick-Up vehicle to Idiroko Police Station before his Lawyer dragged those Custom Officers before the Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) in-Charge of Zone (2) Police Zonal Command at Onikan Lagos, through the Petition dated on 18th October, 2018 for Proper investigation and Justice." Group lamented.

In his submission, the "CHRSJ Boss decry the barbaric and callous manner with which this Custom Officers are carry out their duties and other law enforcement agency include Police and Soldiers, these various agents act is in flagrant violation of fundamental human rights, a driver was killed by a soldier, Akeem Ofege was killed by a mobile Police Man named Sunday, Leegba (also a driver) was killed by inspector popularly called 'Prince', Sola Olusola was mercilessly stabbed to death by a Soldier PTE Osho Solomon Olukayode of Regiment 192BN of Nigeria Army, which Olaide Akinola was shot to death by Sergent Aliwo Michael (a.k.a Awilo) and Late Zharkoor Zaid was killed by Inspector Sanni G. Ogedengbe, to mention but a few.

Commissionership positions will be applied for and only qualified persons will be appointed if United Progressive Party, UPP governorship candidate, Hon.Tony Nwulu is elected the next Governor of Imo State.

Nwulu made the pledge during his ongoing campaign across the 27 local governments of the State.

He said vacancies for various commissioner slots and other political positions in his government shall be advertised and published.

He said any Imolite irrespective of political party affiliation or status will be free to apply for any Commissioner position of his or her choice.

He promised that an international recruitment agency will be engaged to carry out the recruitment process assuring that only the qualified and the best certified to be fit and qualified by the agency shall be appointed.

Nwulu added that this will eliminate favouritism in the appointment of commissioners and other political appointments as it was the case in the past with previous governments.

He also said it is a unique opportunity for politicians and non politicians to serve their State.

He said this measure is aimed at engaging the best brains that will compliment his plans to reposition Imo State and place it on the path of economic prosperity.

He added that this is also aimed at ensuring round pegs in round holes targeted at ensuring that Imo State get the best set of experts in various fields of human endeavour to aid in rebuilding the State plagued by years of bad governance.

He said gone are the days of God- fatherism which reigned supreme in the State. He pointed out that the measure is also applicable to members of his political party- the UPP, stating that members of other political parties who are qualified for appointments are also free to apply for any position of their choice in his government.

He said "This is in line with the message of my campaign which is Mezie Imo, which implies making or repairing Imo State.

"There shall be no favouritism in appointments. Days of such are over.Sentiments will not be applied in appointing commissioners or political appointments in my government

"Members of my political party, the UPP, will go through the process of applying for cabinet positions. Members of other political parties are also encouraged to apply and if they are deemed qualified by the international recruitment agency who will conduct the process of engaging them, they will be appointed as Commissioners or other appointments

Nwulu stated that the task of rebuilding Imo State is a serious business and a collective task for well meaning Imolites and not the prerogative of a select few.

He observed that Imo State possess enormous human resources capable of taking the State to the zenith of prosperity and this can only be achieved if the best and those commiteed to the task of rebuilding the State are appointed into positions of government.

He assured that the process of engaging those that will serve his government will be open and transparent to ensure that only the qualified are brought on board to help his administration salvage the State from further social and economic ruin.

INEC disowns Imo RO, confirms Okorocha’s victory

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has disowned its ad hoc staff, Innocent Ibeawuchi, who stood as the Returning Officer in last Saturday’s presidential and National Assembly elections in Imo State and has rather confirmed Governor Rochas Okorocha as the senator-elect for Imo West district.

Ibeabuchi after declaring Governor Okorocha winner of the election, in what looked like a dramatic scene at the Orlu INEC Collation Centre, had alleged shortly in another chat with the press in Owerri that he was made to declare him winner under duress.

But INEC, speaking through its Public Relation Officer, Emmanuel Okwara, has maintained that Ibeawuchi was on his own.

She further pointed out that what transpired between Ibeabuchi and the governor was entirely his business. She rather advised Ibeabuchi to make his report official to the commission if his claims were true.

Okwara said, “what transpired between them is his business; let him report to the commission officially if his claims are true but the only person we have cleared so far is Governor Okorocha.”

Meanwhile, INEC has declared the Imo North senatorial and House of Representatives inconclusive, following alleged irregularities that marred the election.
