Crime › Re: Nigerian Man Extradited To U.S. For Cyber Intrusion, Theft,$1.3million Tax Fraud by alezzy13: 2:28pm On Mar 06, 2025 |
The emails purported to be from a prospective client seeking the tax preparation firms’ services but in truth were used to trick the firms into downloading remote access trojan malicious software (RAT malware), including malware known as Warzone RAT.
Akande allegedly used the RAT malware to obtain the PII and prior year tax information of the tax preparation firms’ clients, which Akande then used to cause fraudulent tax returns to be filed seeking refunds.
The tax returns directed that the fraudulent tax refunds be deposited in bank accounts allegedly opened by Oyetunji and others.
Once the refunds were issued, Oyetunji and others withdrew the stolen money in cash in the United States and then transferred a portion to third parties in Mexico, allegedly at Akande’s direction, while keeping a portion for themselve Na wa oo. Such an elaborate scheme that would no doubt have required a brilliant mind plus years in the planning.. Just why he couldn't put such a brilliant mind to better, LEGAL use is the million dollars question (no pun) |

Lol. When the usually restrained Canadian PM refers to Trumps plan as 'dumb' you can be sure he's had it to me brim.
But let's be clear, 'dumb' isn't nearly deep enough.. He's cozying up to a ruthless Russian dictator (birds of a feather??) while alienating traditional allies.
Dumb? More like ego massaging insanity. |

fergie001: The issue of defection was not before the Supreme Court. That issue is before the Federal High Court. I will not blame the SC for their disposition..... Fubara, I believe, is been advised to delay with that defection suit. The motive by his handlers is not to win or lose but to make sure he has nothing to do with the 27 & Wike, that's why that defection was not joined in the suit. If it was and the SC ruled against it via technicality, it's all done for. That's why I believe it was not before the higher Courts. If it commences from the FHC, before it gets to Appeal Court sef, it's election time. Chai. See politics |

To those claiming it was a set up. Look carefully at the facts: She was on her monthly period! That alone would give him away. What right thinking girl would agree to consensual sex in at that time of month, in lecturer room?? Secondly the forceful nature would no doubt have left bruises and possibly injury which likely noticed during the medical examination. Thirdly there is the power difference. The lecturer already admitted soliciting friendship, 'though not sexual.' come on, no one would buy that. |

Politics › Re: Why Military Can’t Stop Northerners From Paying Levies To Bandits — Retired Gen by alezzy13: 8:49am On Mar 02, 2025 |
People don’t trust the military anymore. If the people knew that by refusing to pay the levy, the military would take action against those demanding it, no one would waste their money. So, it is an issue of trust.
“Secondly, there must be some people within the affected communities who are also benefiting from the levies and ransoms paid by the people to the bandits. That is why community policing is very important.” QED. This basically sums it up. It is striking this is coming from a former military officer. Let's be clear: If the military wants to end these attacks, they will. |

Let's even assume the matter was not before the SC, but now that the learned justices have effectively ruled on it, are they expecting a lower court to counter the judgement?? 😧 |

Natasha gather your evidence or pay compensation. Simple. Am not a fan of the ever garrulous senate president, but insisting his wife 'stay out' is as preposterous as they come. Politics › Re: Why FG Reinstated Impeached Lagos Speaker, Obasa by alezzy13: 7:08am On Feb 28, 2025 |
FG should thread carefully here and focus on moving the country forward.
The fiasco in both Osun and Lagos states is sending very disturbing and ominous signs about it's increasingly autocratic tendencies.
And let's be clear, only a idiot would believe FG is not directly involved in both instances.
Yes, thankfully inflation is moderating somewhat, exchange rate stabilising, fuel prices lowering, etc, but citizens yet to feel the full impact. So these are things FG should focus on, and not all these unnecessary dramas. |
