PoliticsRe: Picture Of A Unconscious Policeman With Gun by alfablondy: 2:14pm On Jun 30, 2011
dami_paul:
i really believe the problem starts from the management, the standard duty shift is 8hours, but it's not the same for Nigeria's security system. you can imagine a police man working for 24hrs or atimes 12hrs, he's bound to get tired, he's human not a robot. Their's a lot of problem with the management of the police force
The officer shown by the op is most likely drunk or drugged, even if he is overworked, he would not loose his senses up to d extend of sleeping on the floor. May be is a robot grin grin grin grin
TravelRe: Assumed Legalized Bribery By The Nigerian Immigration At Mm Airport by alfablondy: 1:50pm On Jun 30, 2011
I agree with all posters that refused to give them any dime whether dollar or naira. USD100 is at least N15k, imagine given that to immigration officer for no legitimate reason.
if u are a legitimate traveller they cant intimidate you. No shaking!

TravelRe: CLOSED by alfablondy: 4:46pm On Jun 25, 2011
I see no reason why Vjustice should be codemned for his opinion and recommendation of this travel agent. the onus is on the would be client to do his own research to find out whether he should do business with them or not.

who says Vjustice cant be wrong in his judgement. he can as well be right if the agent delivers. however No agent can guarantee you Visa. a legitimate agent will only submit genuine documents provided by you on your behalf.

I personally will not recommend any agent for anybody. if u want to get visa apply yourself through the right channel.

I tink 2 is ok maximum 3. especially in country like ours. life is not just about living alone but the quality of life is also important. when things become better generally then we can afford to start increasing family size if we so dsire.

Cyber guru. I guess you are a professional. I dont think getting the work visa should be difficult. if the work you found on the internet are genuine work.

All you need to do is to apply for the work, once the company or institution offer you employment they will give you the necessary support in getting the visa. Things should be done in a proper and legitimate way.

BE WISE when you deal with people on NL.

Majority of the beggars on the street are real beggers, u can see that some of them are handicapped and can bearly do something for living while u see some sweeping the pedestrian bridge, i hope the government already have a plan for them.
This pple needs the charity more than the pastors in the church and the alfas in the mosque.
meanwhile he needs to deal with Area boys that get money from motorist with force.

BRF is not doing badly. He really need to play his game well with those white men.
He should go for quality and not quantity? money should be wisely spent.

PoliticsRe: Tinubu Urges Fashola To Sack Striking Doctors by alfablondy: 8:45pm On Mar 01, 2011
@allycat, @ reindeer I agree with both of u, Im a nigerian dr presently on CALL in a small island nation as i type this msg. I resign from lagos state job few years back due to d stress of the work and poor remuneration. Here both the citizens and the expatriate are on renewable contracts there is nothing like permanent employment till u retire, there is a standard expect of u to be met before renewal.

Here they take every death very seriously the drs and nurses involve in management will give an account of what happened, as a junior dr u MUST inform your consultant on call about a critical case and he MUST review the patient PHYSICALLY nt by phone msg.

We hardly loose patent here sometimes none for several months, the yearly mortality rate is about month mortality where i work in nigeria before and most time nobody cares about the course of death as we dont routinely do autopsy. D governement needs to pay health workers well and monitor the standard of care being given by the workers, then most pple will sit up. TO WHOM MUCH IS GIVEN, MUCH IS EXPECTED.

@ workingdoc,  i understand how u feel and what u are going tru. Dont mind those pple supporting the govt they have been blindfolded, they dont really know what is obtainable elsewhere even in Africa talkless of ist world nations.

I tink it is high time our govt values and appreciate the service rendered by drs . I am a dr like you, i worked for thesame govt for almost  4 years, in one of the busiest hosp in lagos island. it was very ectic working there

my collegue i pray GOD will answer your  prayer, i guess u dont really appreciate how much suffering drs are going tru until when u have the opportunity to practice in another Africa country, Im not talking about South Africa, europe or america. u will be suprised to see the level of derogation drs are subjected to at home.

I pray that govt shuld fufil their own part of the agreement.  pls if u have the opportunity of travelling out pls do, for the sake of the future of ur children.
