I believe man is made up of soul and body. The soul could be controlled by an external power or spirit be it good or bad. science only have explaination for the physical part of man. For those of you that believe there is no spiritual aspect to life you are in the dark. I have seen a life fowl, which was caught in my presence dropping dead in my presence after a series of incantations. If you see the way the fowl ran for its dear life before finally being caught you will think it knew its time has come. |

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Tevez Could Still Play For City Says Mancini by alfablondy(op): 1:12pm On Feb 12, 2012 |
http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/12022012/2/tevez-play-role-city-says-mancini.htmlManchester City outcast Carlos Tevez could still play for the club in the Premier League title run-in if he returned from Argentina, manager Roberto Mancini was quoted as saying in British media on Sunday. "Everyone knows Carlos is a top player," the City manager was reported as saying in The Observer. "If he was here and playing it would be better, because Carlos can change games. "If he were to come back next week maybe he can still help us in the next three months." The 28-year-old Argentine striker, who fell out with Mancini after failing to heed his instructions to warm up during a Champions league game in September, had been widely expected to leave the club in the January transfer window. However, despite interest from AC Milan, Inter Milan and Paris St Germain he was not sold. He has been fined six weeks' wages for gross misconduct over his disappearance to Argentina without permission in November, a punishment he is appealing to the Premier League, and has also not been paid while he has been absent. How soon Tevez could feature again for City, who are a point behind local rivals Manchester United with a game in hand ahead of Sunday's visit to Aston Villa, would depend on how quickly he could regain match fitness if he did come back to the club. He last played for city in a League Cup win over Birmingham city on Sept. 21. "It depends on his condition, and when he returns," added Mancini. "We have already played a lot of games with only one striker. But Carlos knows the situation. "I talked to him before he left, to try to resolve this situation, and if he comes back we can talk again. I don't have any problem with that. If he wants to play, it could happen." What do you think about this development. Do you think city really need Tevez now or never? |

combatmedic: ^^ Cheers my guy, nice points you have there.
To answer your question as to the reason I chose to apply to join the British Army, I was once told that an ideal job must contain 3 key ingredients; 1. Love what you do. 2. What you do should help people. 3. Have fun/adventure doing what you do. The Army is one of the few opportunities in life to actually provide these 3 attributes in a holistic package. I would love to pursue a PhD in Public Health in Australia, I may even be able to use my knowledge to help people, but the question is would I have fun in that line of career?!
Another way of looking at this issue is for me to self-sponsor a PhD after my Army contract is over. The proviso here is that I would live through my contract with my limbs intact. As a Combat Medic, we are in the thick of the action, we MUST go to war. @ op I think you prefer the British army Job, if what you posted above is to be applied. Why not join Nigerian army You prefer to risk your life for the British government On a more serious note, both offer are good. Go for the one that really suite you. people can argue for and against the final decision is all about you. I was once in a delimma like you to choose between two noble professions, I got admission for both at the same time and decided to choose my present career based on the feelings of my family and friends whereas in my mind I prefer the other profession, I am comfortable with my job but I still have the feelings that I would have been more successful and fulfilled if I had followed my mind. |

Sapele_Don: @oyewolejos as earlier stated i run across people in the US who just got in and from gist some tell you how they got in but to be honest never asked them how they did it or even go into details with them as i consider that none of my business so maybe would have known some details.
@Vicjustice there is no need to get worked up over anything as i believe we are having an intellectual discuss and not an argument where the superior argument carries the day, there are no judges here.
First and this is very important, i have never encouraged anybody in real life let alone across the internet to pay for any kind of visa services as i have always believed in going to an embassy and legitimately applying for anything and if your papers and reasons are genuine then i see no reason why a visa should not be given to anybody, but our society have this defeatist attitude that everything has to be boought or paid for and that is why people are getting scammed.
Note, the only reason i ever added my ten cents to this conversation was because of the FINGER PRINT thing and what my cousin told me which does not necessarily transcends to giving anybody encouragement to pay for a visa service,i am not an agent and will never encourage or discourage anybody who plans on travelling in whatever way they deem fit.
Ironically, lets put it mildly that i work for the Govt and on something bordering on National Security and part of my job is to police the Border so i do not encourage people to run a foul of the law so will not encourage any one to break any immigration law. I WORK FOR THE LAW so should know better.
@justwise there is a possibility that i was lied to and i will not be that silly to argue or defend something i know nothing about. You do not know me so to come out and authoritatively say my story is made up is tantamount to calling me a liar.
Please do not call me a liar as you do not know me as that was uncalled for. All i said was what people told me and i have never authenticated their stories if its true or not and i did not call them liars or said they made up their stories.
Everybody has his story and i dont know in what country you reside in but if you reside in the US you will hear stories of people and how they entered this country and you will SHOUT its impossible, but yes they came in. Some stories you hear you will find it hard to believe and it is the MARK of an EDUCATED MAN to have an open mind to issues instead of the MENTALITY that everything you dont know about is a lie,you cannot know all.
I come here to read Nigeria news and stumbled on the travel section by mistake which makes interesting reading and have basically kept my opinions to myself.
Who ever wants to TRAVEL OUT should do the right thing by going to the embassy themselves. @ sapele I understand how you feel. I visit Nairaland everyday especially the travel section and read any topic or news that interest me on the front page, Vicjustice and Justwise are very popular here, I can say both of them are very intelligent and well versed from their responses to comments on this forum, sometimes the response especially to comments from someone that is not popular or regular here make one feels they think they no it all and always right. In my view this travel section belong to them and some folks here and not to nairalanders. justwise:
The absents of scammers can only be bad news to a very few people here, if that makes the travel section dry then i make no apologies for that. Vicjustice: In the past, there used to to be more scammers than genuine users, they took advantage of the freedom to set their traps in multiple posts (even with multiple ids), but since they have been subdued and their attempts are being voided, they have now given up and deserted the section, hence it now seem dry. With this, i still give credit to you. I agree with you in almost everything, except that i am of the opinion that the number of people who used this section to try their scam trade were about the same as the number of genuine users; therefore, i am of the opinion that the absence of Scammers does not just affect a "very few people", but a whole bunch of these criminals suxes2006: @Vicjustice, yeah you seems to understand what I mean by starting this thread. It's unlike the way it used to be before, instead of justwise to simply be happy that he has done some 'good' so to say, he is saying other stuffs,
Aal Izz Well @ justwise the op comments was based on his observations and you can see the way Vicjustice and kadmann agreed with him that the section is dry. None of them accused you of not doing well as a moderator, but your response above sounds like someone that is not really ready for criticism, You may be wise but not the wisest and cannot be always right.
