Carsonv: I was privileged to serve with the Commission sometime in the recent past. The last year's application(which is for the Zonal Offices) has been merged with this new one. So from the 66 position, a handful of them will be deployed to the Zonal Offices. So if you applied last year, like I did, then you have to reapply because it has been cancelled and merged!

This what you said about the last year applicants and it turned out to be very untrue. Please keep your negative thoughts to yourself.

Carsonv: Oboy! Anybody wey dey wait for NERC should please go start cassava cultivation. I just got news from a DGM in NERC that all vacancies have been filled and no more interview/test or whatever crap you wanna subject yourselves to. Forgive my cynicism!

This can not be true, see, the modus of an organisation that want to play games is different from the one being played out by Nerc. Let wait and see time will tell.

Guys, what i want to say is that government business in Nigeria is never conducted in a hurry. This period of waiting will be a reality check for you as to the speed of government process, forget all the hype the trainers have told you in training school about NIMC been different. It not about NIMC management it is about Nigerian system as a whole.
For example if NIMC is still expecting their second quarter allocation which should have ordinarily been paid by April and they have made their plans based on that, and is yet unpaid what magic can they perform. I am not saying that is the case, i just used it as an illustration.
Guys have patience what will be will be. It took me 14 months from date of application to resumption of duty in one of the agencies, so it is most times like this.
On a final note i pray that God of immediately will answer the prayers of all those expecting both APL'S and interview text.

It has been said here numerous times that not all job categories will under go training, the people that are called for training are those that will work with the software if your job schedule does not require working with the specialized software, and you did well at the interview you will be employed and subsequently undergo induction as a staff. Hope this answer's your question

Really i did not hear the jist, but if i might add in the history of Nigeria there is no CBN governor that did not conclude it's term and it is also written in the cbn act that the governor can only be sacked for cause, meaning the president has to convince the national assembly as to why he want's him removed. Again SLS'S term is coming to a close i do not see the presidency going into a roforofo fight to get him removed.

It has been said many times on this forum that we should avoid use of harsh language, the fact that you do not agree with him does not mean he is an imposter. Let us do some analysis, NIMC advertised and said they will employ 1750 new hands,if you look at the advert many of the positions were head of this and head of that , meaning one vacancy. the bulk of the new staff will be enrollment/customer care officers, LG, STATE, SENIOR or whatever prefix you might add. further more Nigeria has about 778 LGA AND 36 states how many officers do think will be required to man those offices by this cadre of staff. knowing that the bulk of this cadre of staff has been done away with by the twin sack operations that has taken place in NIMC. Also it has been said here on this thread that those called for training are the very best of the lot and will be required to train others when they resume in their locations. From the above analysis it is my believe that about 1200-1500 of this cadre of staff(new) will be required to drive the system. Pls let us tolerate each others view doing otherwise will drive people away from this forum., and all will be the loser. Cheers

My brother do not believe such crap, it is not true. Do you know the number of people that applied for the job? they even had to remove the applications of the first people that applied to create space for others when the portal was full.so what miracle did they perform to be able to hold the test 10 days after the closing date.

Gboliwe: 2 questions I need answered from people who will write earlier than 12.45pm 2mro.

1. Do they demand for any other thing aside what the email contains- things like credentials, CV etc?

2. Is it okay to come in casuals since its just a test or a does the dressing too carry marks?

nobody will ask u for credentials at test venue also the dress code is as spirit directs you. most times you will not even see any senior person at the test center.nobody is scoring you on appearance so feel free to dress as u like

i will not join issues with u. if u have worked or received APL from any govt agency u will have seen the wordings and probably better informed. for a staff recruited below level 15 it reads the mgt has approved ur employment. for a staff on 15 and above it reads the board any if no board the minister has approved ur employment. i know cause i work for one of the agencies. Also for those in a hurry pls do not forget the list still has to be vetted by fed character comm. wish every body best of luck

adetowubo001: OT should mean Orientation Training. If the list is with the DG already and waiting for signing, then it's good news. It means the Board has met and approved the list. It's almost done.

brosiye99: I heard the board has to meet to ratify all the appointments before the letters start coming out. That is the usual practice with all Fed govt employment. e.g FIRS, CBN, NNPC etc. what we should be on the look out for is when the board meets next. This employment would be the main agenda. From what i gathered, the Board has two more meetings this year which as things are would be in the last quarter of the year. i am thinking that we may wait a few more months before all is concluded. i wish it were faster though

It is not all cadre of staff that needs board approval, the level that requires BA is 15 and above and i am not sure that they have even interviewed prospective employees on that grade talk less of APL

If you do not know pls do not assert. Even the FGN has age restriction in their employment. The service rules of the public service says you can not be employed for any post over the age of 50.So be guided and not dissipate ur energy of a non-issue.

Sometimes i wonder why people in Nigeria are negative all the time. there are many people that have secured FGN jobs without any human help if u do not believe check nhis, nimc ,firs thread. If u are qualified, believe and u have good chances of being employed.

You have to select a job position and after the position window opens u will submit from the window. I hope this solves u problem ,best of luck.

If u look at the advert u have analyst 1,2,3 then asst. mgr. analyst 3 is level 8 analyst 2 is level 9 analyst 1 is level 10 so asst mgr is grade l2. There is no level 11 in the service. Am not too sure but this my opinion

scippy: Is it compulsory to be called for an aptitude test before interview?There are different forms of recruitment process depending on the form the consultant adopt for the selection of candidates.Most times candidates are not always invited for aptitude test when it is a professional/experience roles.

Let it be known that he who pays the piper dictates the tune, it is a federal govt. policy that applicants should be tested. I have done many of such and i am a well experienced candidate. For your info. i did t where i currently work and i did test . Also at Nerc i applied for DD which is level 16 and the are asking of where i what to be tested. So pls be guided.

Nimc are now doing their possible means to kick start this prog seriously.
