Rohr gives reason for not capping Ehizibue despite Cologne defender pledging future to Nigeria Published: April 24, 2021 Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has revealed that Cologne defender Kingsley Ehizibue has not yet been capped by Nigeria due to administrative problems. Born in Munich, the exciting right-back qualifies to represent the national teams of Germany, Netherlands and Nigeria, where his father hails from. Ehizibue has played a non-binding game for Netherlands U21, back in March 2016, and received a call-up for the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Sierra Leone last March which were later postponed owing to the coronavirus crisis. "Now if he takes another passport, for example Nigerian passport, he must leave the Dutch passport. He cannot have double passports, this is the only problem." Rohr went on to reveal that he held positive talks with Ehizibue and claims the player is willing to represent the Super Eagles. "I met him in Cologne, I saw him with his agent and the boy wants to play with us but if he's playing with us with the Nigerian passport he will lose the Schengen passport and he cannot because in his team he cannot play without the Schengen passport so this is only an administrative problem". Ehizibue has struggled in his second season with Cologne in the German Bundesliga, making fourteen out of a possible 31 stars in the division, whereas he made waves in 2019-2020.

By doing this we can cap some good FB player , and at least 2 or 3 of them will surely blow, Arsenal as an example, we had more FB players there, and 99% of them need clearance from FIFA, IF we need any of em in future
we can pick player from those club Randomly

By capping them young it will help in reducing this 3yrs still waiting for LOOKMAN, EJARIA clearance kinda

if you've noticed rohr from his time in the eagles you would have noticed the fact he gives new players chances on friendly games most times and dead rubber games like the dead rubber against Algeria in the last WCQ and the last one we had against Lesotho which he was willing to give both Sadiq and olise their chance but couldn't due to passport and club not releasing him but WCQ is another tournament itself which sane coach will risk a player that hasn't play a game or hasn't been with team to play in such crucial tournament even when ebuehi just switched he was on bench throughout the whole tournament he only had his chance in friendly that was just the point I was trying to raise i hope you understand..friedden
