I’m happy for the enyimba guy,he
deserves it,I would have preferred
onuachu in place of Musa but due to
his performance for the eagles,it’s
difficult to make a case for him.musa
should not be in the team for now, rohr
has taken 100 steps backward for this
singular act,we thought that his
selections have been based on players
performance for clubside,but it shows
that there is either a quota system thing
going on or he has started behaving
like our local coaches collecting
EGUNJE.is he there to motivate the
players,is he a coach?Musa is not even
a vocal person and doesn’t even have
the charisma of a captain.how is
Collins still a super eagle player?
Someone who doesn’t play regular
football for second division side,ajayi
wey dem dey beat every weekend is
still there ,he is no longer playing for
westbrom self.shehu still continue to
make the team,a player that contributes
nothing ,in thier places,I would have
called up people like ejuke,anaemena
,awoniyi to join the team.i will see how
they will fair against Benin at away. |
Can SUPER EAGLE ever Do what BLACK STAR of GHANA just did..... VS. SOUTH AFRICA The China-based duo are confirmed to take part in the third phase of preparation for the final hurdles on the road to Cameroon 2021 China duo Mubarak Wakaso and Emmanuel Boateng have been retained as Ghana coach CK Akonnor pruned down his camping squad as preparations continue for their upcoming 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches against South Africa and Sao Tome and Principe. The only foreign-based players participating in the exercise, the two men, who are currently on holiday in Ghana owing to a recess of the Chinese Super League, joined up with 24 home- based players for the second phase of training last week. An all-home-based contingent of 32 players was called up for the first phase last month. Editors' Picks The third phase of camp commences on Monday with 24 players, the Ghana FA has announced on their official website . Currently top the table in Group C, Ghana are set to take on South Africa away on March 25 and Sao Tome and Principe at home three days later to wrap up their qualifying series. The West African, whose main Black Stars team is virtually made of foreign-based players, are undertaking the camping programme as a proactive measure, amid concerns about the release of their foreign legion for the upcoming games. Owing to the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, foreign clubs have safety and health concerns in relation to the international travel of players. Some clubs, particularly in England, are also worried about having to do without players even on their return from international duty because of mandatory quarantine protocols. Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey, Crystal Palace duo Jeffrey Schlupp and Jordan Ayew, Swansea City attacker Andre Ayew, Leicester City defender Daniel Amartey, Southampton centre-back Mohammed Salisu and Reading full-back Andy Yiadom will have to undertake mandatory quarantine should they travel to South Africa. Full Squad: Goalkeepers: Joseph Addo (Aduana FC), Razak Abalorah (Asante Kotoko), Eric Ofori Antwi (Medeama SC) Defenders: Ganiyu Ismail (Asante Kotoko), Yusif Mubarik (Asante Kotoko), Konadu Yiadom (WAFA), Ibrahim Moro (Asante Kotoko), Haruna Jamal Deen (Great Olympics), Christopher Nettey (Asante Kotoko) Joseph Agyei (Legon Cities), Dennis Korsah (Ebusua Dwarfs) Midfielders: Gladson Awako (Great Olympics), Justice Blay (Medeama SC), Michel Otou (Great Olympics), Yaw Annor (Ashanti Gold SC), Rashid Nortey (Medeama SC), Maxwell Abbey (Great Olympics), Salifu Moro (Bechem United), Mubarak Wakaso (Jiangsu Suning), Joseph Esso (Dreams SC) Forwards: Emmanuel Boateng (Dalian Pro), Kwame Peprah (King Faisal), Kwame Opoku (Asante Kotoko), Diawusie Taylor (Karela United) . . |

'FULHAM CLOSE IN ON MAJA'
Sky Sports' Dharmesh Sheth: "We've spoken a lot in this window about Scott Parker wanting to bring in a striker. I'm told Fulham are very close to signing Josh Maja from Bordeaux. A bit of news that I have been told is that at first we thought it was a straight loan. "But I'm now being told that the loan comes with the option to buy for 10 million euros, which works out to be around £9m. I'm told the medical has been done, personal terms have been agreed and they are just finalising the paperwork on that deal." |

Super Eagles Official Dismisses Reports FIFA
Has Cleared Liverpool, Chelsea, Fulham,
Southampton Stars To Play For Nigeria
Published: January 27, 2021 Super Eagles chief scout Tunde Adelakun has moved quickly to dismiss reports in the local press that football's governing body, FIFA has given clearance to six players with dual nationality to switch allegiance to the Nigeria Football Federation. It was erroneously claimed that Fulham pair Ademola Lookman and Tosin Adarabioyo, Liverpool-owned winger Sheyi Ojo, Chelsea loanee Ike Ugbo, Southampton young star Nathan Tella, PSV's Nonso Madueke, Reading midfielder Ovie Ejaria and Hertha Berlin's Jordan Torunarigha applied for a one-time change of association, with FIFA approving six. Lookman, Ejaria and Ugbo have all requested to switch nationality after representing England youth teams but FIFA has not yet approved the one-time switch, while former Arsenal trainee Tella, a player of interest to manager Gernot Rohr, is able to play for the Super Eagles straightaway as he no caps for his country of birth, England. When asked to confirm whether FIFA had cleared the aforementioned players, Adelakun told allnigeriasoccer.com : "I can categorically tell you that it is not true, wherever that news came from it is false, it is not true at all, it is fake . "Everything that you read in the report is not true, it didn't come from us. I have seen all the names this morning and none of it is true - the whole piece - as it is false. "I'm not going to pick individual names but the story in its entirety is false". Lookman, Ojo and Ejaria were members of the England squad that won the FIFA U20 World Cup in 2017. |
Official : Hammarby Loan In Four Nigerian
Teenagers Including Ex-Golden Eaglet Olaniyan
Published: January 27, 2021 Swedish Allsvenskan side Hammarby have completed the signings of four Nigerian teenagers on a six-month loan. They are forward Miekam Womene Zuokemefa, offensive midfielder Olatomi Alfred Olaniyan, central midfielder Oluwatobi Samson Abimbola and winger David Akpan Ankeye - all 18 years old. Olaniyan was a key member of the Golden Eaglets squad to the 2019 Africa U17 Cup of Nations, starting all the five matches during the tournament held in Tanzania, but missed out on the roster to the World Cup in Brazil. Providing a lowdown on the Nigerian quartet, Hammarby Head of Scouting, Mikael Hjelmberg told the club's official website : "Womene is a well-grown, smart forward with an impressive movement pattern. He comes from Aweskim Academy together with Oluwatobi who is an inner midfielder with great work capacity and is a real attitude player. "Olatomi, known as Agüero, is an offensive midfielder who was Amoo's teammate in the Nigerian U17 national team. "He has a low center of gravity and is very skilled in playing. He comes from Sido Academy, the same academy as Amoo, together with Akpan. "The latter two players were largely ready for a larger European club, but chose to come to us instead, and that says a lot about the reputation we have built up". The four promising Nigerian teenagers will initially train with Hammarby's cooperation club IK Frej to get acquainted with the new football environment . |
