What you’re doing isn’t fair, the OP has literally been asking in the thread for anyone to link him up and even said he’ll be going physically to see a recruiter at 12 today. So what exactly has the OP portrayed for you to say “he lacks the mentality to succeed” ? Why is that even a nice thing to say to anyone?? 🥴

This haughty, shoulder-pad behavior of few people who portray to have made it is really somehow tbh.

That you have made it and someone is currently struggling doesn’t mean they lack the mentality to succeed, e sha ma rora. 🙏🏾

That guy is ‘struggling’ because he’s too BUSY complaining. What you say to yourself matters a lot. Motivational speakers are actually useful and necessary!

Madam leave op and his supporters. The guy lacks the mentality to succeed and that you cannot help. Hi supporters will also attack you for saying otherwise.

The thread was not set up to complain not get advise on network.

Truth is if you lack a strong mentality and are not performance-driven you may not cope or be a mediocre in the UK.

Exactly!!!! He lacks the basics a human being needs to succeed. When the government calls them lazy, they complain. He will not survive with that mentality! Jobs that are everywhere. Very dull somebody

irrespective of your skills. Nigerian experience is worthless here. thats what i found out.

you need UK experience. UK is hell in the first few months except u have this money. upkeep, fees paid, etc

THIS IS A LIE FROM THE PIT OF HELL!!!!!! Stop already

I’m posting this for you again!

Making it in life ANYWHERE is about your state of mind and the information you have. I personally know 3 people who moved this September with MULTIPLE job offers. Not one job, not them say, I’m talking from personal experience.

When they sell you a juicy offer in remote parts of England and you decide to go and live in God knows where, there’s a reason those places have limited population. Jobs are easier in and around London, rent is higher but you get to earn a living!

None of these people got jobs through INDEED! I’ve lived in the UK for close to a decade, I haven’t secured a job on that site, stop wasting your time.

Again, the information you have will save or sink you, there’s a way to apply for jobs here, there’s a way to tailor cvs here, there’s a type of cv and buzzwords for specific roles. You can’t apply for 200 jobs already, it means your application is a joke! I work closely with recruitment and I see applications like that all the time. Again, stop wasting time.

Apart from recruitment agencies, one of these 3 people I know, secured TWO great jobs directly from the companies and no, it’s not care work.

Stop jumping on every thread and spewing from a place of insecurity and limited knowledge. You only just got here and you don’t sound like you know what you are doing, sorry. Life is per head, destiny is per head, luck is not universal.

The money you scream about, people make it here and much more. Someone has paid two fee instalments since getting here in September, wake up and go find information.

I sincerely hope not everyone is swayed by your endless rants. You’ve only been here for months. SIT UP AND LEARN

Hi guys, the ECO was concerned about the POF and requested that the MA (coming on tier 4) should supply what's the person has been doing since graduation in 2018. The issue is the MA, went for NYSC, and later got admission for an MSc but with covid and later ASUU strike, the programme has been prolonged. The sponsor works in the UK and sent in the money that was used for POF. The question is, how should this proof be provided?

Hey, relax. Did the ECO specifically say ‘concern about POF’ Don’t confuse yourself into HBP. Read what they want again. In most cases, they just need evidence of what MA has been doing since graduation. This person graduated since 2018 and should have provided this.

Good morning everyone! Pls i need your advice. I am currently in the Uk with my family on study visa. Came here February. I applied for my dependent to join me (adopted child). SHe couldn’t apply when we applied because the papers weren’t complete and I had a deadline to meet( I even did priority visa to meet up) Now, her passport has been at DMC since 13th of March and I’m yet to hear anything from them. 2 weeks ago, I sent a paid email and i got a response that they have a backlog of applications and that ours is still being considered. Then last week Tuesday or so, i saw a refund of the IHS that was paid for her. The exact amount. I felt she might have been denied but up till now, almost a week after, I’m yet to get any mail concerning her passport and if i track it, it shows still at DMC. Pls what do i do? I’m really confused. Thank you

The adopted child story does not fly with UK anymore. Go to UK GOV website, there is a ban on adopting children from Nigeria. It’s a fairly recent ban. Please save your money

Please house.. I need help on making a decision on which school to proceed with, I got offers from Northampton and Salford both on MSc project management.

Northampton has a placement component to it (deposit £7000).

Salford (deposit £5500).

1. Is this placement route profitable? (Getting internships, paid or unpaid), hoping to get UK experience.

2. Because the placement is for an extra year, will I need to double the POF? And double IHS fees?

3. Which of the schools is better in terms of education?

@duchess@doyinluv@justwise

Make sure you read the fine prints! Some schools will say it is YOUR responsibility to find a placement. Ask them very well, email them. If they will provide the placement, it may be worth it, if not, RUN

Thank you for ur respond. I just summited the questionnaire I had to answer NO. In the year 2015 I was denied by Germany so I did a new passport.

The year 2018 I applied for US with the new passport, which I was denied same year France refused me visa.

Now I have new passport, bearing new age, that is wat am using to apply for uk student visa.

It doesn’t matter if you get 20 new passports. It’s called a DATABASE for a reason. If you ever got refused by a developed country, UKVI will find it. I don’t understand why Nigerians always try to cheat a working system. You better wake up. If you lie to UKVI, you risk a 10 year ban. Maybe then you’ll go and get a new passport, like it makes any difference

Hey, stop panicking. I have applied for a visa extension with my expired Nigerian passport…..TWICE. Submit the expired one, write a cover letter and explain, provide evidence that you’ve applied for a new passport. Don’t go back to Nigeria please. It’s not an issue

Please does anyone know the turn around time for super priority visit visa? The one that should ideally be out in 5 days. I want to get an idea of how long it takes at the moment.

Please what’s the best way to pay the visa fees from Nigeria? Which bank cards do they accept?

Thank you

I applied for a visit visa for my mum to visit me and her grandchildren. However, I didn't include her statement of account as I felt that it wasn't necessary since I was sponsoring the whole trip. Unfortunately, her visa was denied which really saddened me as we had planned towards her coming.

Kindly supporting me with how to rectify their concerns in the next application I will be making. How soon can I apply again? How many months bank statement should I provide? Please note that a large sum of money has just been sent by my sister into her account to help her with form A for her school fees payment. she is below 55 years of age and I send her stipends every month as she does petty trading.

Good day Family,

Please i need guidance on how i can convince the Nigerian institution i graduated from that i should be handed my transcript so i can uploaed it on ecctis platform as requested. The school official in charge of transcript had said they don't issue transcript to students, that can only be mailed to the body requesting it. I cannot download it from the school's portal and i need a signed copy for myself.

Please anyone with ideas on how i can make my school issue an official copy to me.

Thank you.

congrats.. oga so u won’t tell us how you addressed the past refusal issues especially unemployed/retiree.. ok o

Lol! Thanks for your help! It was very useful.
We attached three emails she sent to her pension administrators requesting for a letter to confirm her pension status. We now submitted her employment letter from 1982 and her retirement letter with retirement benefits stated.
We included two of her bank statements. 6 months each. Wrote a cover letter showing the dates her pension payments were made into her account. This was to save them time of looking for it and maybe missing it.
One of her savings bank statement showed a track record of saving with a closing balance of 400k plus
The money for her sponsorship was now paid into her account, mentioned in the cover letter and transfer receipt submitted with the application.
Documents for a landed property was included even though the property was in my dad's name only. Her husband's occupation was stated to show he earns enough to support the family in Nigeria.
The cover explained sincerely what happened. We didn't think it mattered to mention her pension status since she was unable to get a letter from them.

I hope I remembered all.

The form has already been filled and submitted and only the cover letter option is left for me if need be.

My total earnings for six months is 2,721,000 Naira hence my claim of 5m Naira is right and without other deposits from other source as I had been refused in the past due several large deposits.

I would be glad if other fellows can contribute their own opinions too. As in if it’s really necessary to add a cover latter.

Thank you. But we'll be using the same documents my brother will be providing right?

Does my brother need to write two different invitation letter?

Kindly help.

Everything needs to be x2, including invitation letters! The applications will be treated INDIVIDUALLY. They may not even be assessed by same ECO

Your brother needs to show more than enough means to sponsor two of you as well. You both MUST show sufficient ties to Nigeria. Basically, you need to convince the ECO that you need that honeymoon sponsored by your brother

Good morning house.

Please I have a question to ask and I don't exactly know how to structure it for the search algorithm to identify my answers.

Here it goes.

I recently secured admission for Sept. 2022 and have paid the tuition deposit. At this time, i'm waiting for my TB test date in the first week of July and would proceed to start visa application. While waiting, I have locked in my POF for 30 days and it would mature by this month end. I hope to add the bank statement and other accompanying documents to start the visa processing.

Also, I joined the school's whatsapp group of Nigerian students who are been managed by the school's recognized agent in Nigeria. Sometime this week, one of the agents advised those of us with locked POF that plan to withdraw after maturity to desist from doing so. He rather said we should leave the money in the account till visa is confirmed. In his statement, he said that there's been a spike in requests from UKVI requesting for another account statements during the visa application stage. So if one has withdrawn, obviously it would reflect and lead to automatic dismissal.

My concern is how true is this or is there a particular reason that leads to this reaction by UKVI as I would most likely be spending more than a million naira just for account statement if I'm to keep the money in my account looking at how much visa application is been delayed this days.

Please, I'd need your opinions on this

Thanks in advance

I think it's true. I met someone here in the Uk that said it happened to him. He's currently on student visa

How do you go about it because you will want to go with your family including your husband and the children.

When you are completing the visa application and you want to save the application and return later, a link to the application is emailed to you. Find that link in your email and sign into your gov.uk account. Click on the link for providing biometrics, it takes you to the TLS website. You will see a link for tracking your application there.
