blacksta: lame excuses

So because i have a president who is less conversant about the budget. I can sneak in 10 billion to buy a Nuclear warhead. A president who does not know the in and outs of budget is simply not fit to rule.
Gbammmmm Need I say more. When I talk, it's like Alj harem is against GEJ and that is not the case, it is glaring each day that Nigerian have made a mistake by voting this man in due to tribal sentiments.

16 billion Naira is ( one million in 16 thousand places so you can see what I am seeing) and we know a lot of Nigerians barely collect 100 thousand naira home. It would take a person earning 100000 a month, hundred and sixty thousand years to save up without spending a kobo. that 160 millenia shocked shocked shocked wicked leaders grin grin grin

koruji: Cover your face in shame!
It was the presidents budget. If his VP is including a N9 billion budget for furniture etc then he was supposed to know. That he didn't know was a sign of his powerlessness not a valid excuse.
Thank you. He would never answer this question. LOL Naija for show

Panzastrip: "alj harem:

Alj harem, I am really surprise in you i mean seriously. That means Ndigbo are not Nigerians then. You are really out of your mind.
My brother you do not understand my point. I have always advocated for a SE president. He (PointB) emphasis on igbo presidency is dum.b. I mean why should I vote for an "IGBO PRESIDENT" WHEN I AM A NIGERIAN. Is Rocahas and co not Nigerians ? Why focus on Igbo like it is a must even if the candidate is not competent.
PoliticsRe: Fashola/Shekarau 2015 Presidential Ticket???? by aljharem(m): 8:01am On Dec 19, 2012
PointB: I guess you forgot you brains that home. Does the Okada rider engage in the business for the fun of it, and do you think the passengers love riding okadas every time? Sometime you ask question even a six year old will avoid. Go home and fetch your brain brother.
You have not answered my question

If means of transport : Nothing good comes easy and to do the right thing at times, we step on toes. Okada is illegal and has killed too many people. There is no point in risking your life just to get somewhere. it is senseless.

If means of income : This Okadas have made our youths less creative in terms of oppotunities and innovative business they can do. You do not have to be educated to start a business. I remember one Obalende suya man that told me that the youths are now lazy. This man came from a very very poor family in Kaduna at a very young age, he came to lagos slept under the bridge for days thinking of what to do. He then saw a ram walking, he killed the ram and used it for suya. He did this 3 times then started his business. Today he is big reasonably without riding Okada or stealing. It is all favour from God and not Okada.
PoliticsRe: Fashola/Shekarau 2015 Presidential Ticket???? by aljharem(m): 7:55am On Dec 19, 2012
PointB: My guy sharap and keep your bigotry to yourself. What is not competent about Rochas, Soludo and those that I mentioned? Or does being Igbo make them any less competent than other ethnic groups? Quit that weed you are smoking, I suppose it's too early in the day.
dude who cares whether they are igbos or not. Your emphasis on only Igbo candidates is so annoying makes one wonder what is wrong with you. Fashola/Shekarau would do, I don't mind Rochas/ Fashola as well.

PoliticsRe: Fashola/Shekarau 2015 Presidential Ticket???? by aljharem(m): 7:50am On Dec 19, 2012
PointB: Banning Okada without providing alternative is not only mindless but totally heartless, both to the Okada riders and passengers. It will haunt Fashola/ACN in the polls in 2015.
Alternative to what ? means of transport or means of income ? My brother are you thinking at all ?
PoliticsRe: Fashola/Shekarau 2015 Presidential Ticket???? by aljharem(m): 7:47am On Dec 19, 2012
PointB: A smarter move for them is to adopt a SE presidential candidate like Soludo, or Rochas. Any other permutation will deepen the division and suspicion.
PointB: Why would I vote for Fashola when I could easily vote for Rochas, Chime, Peter Obi, Pat Utomi, Okonjo Iweala, Soludo or even Ameachi paired with Ribadu. In which way is Fashola/Tinubu/Shekarau better than any of these aforementioned folks? Or simply because of the media hypes? Or is there any rule that suggest that only Hausa and Yorubas should be continually voted into power?

Make no mistake, Fashola is only known in the SW, and if he is challenged by any of the folks listed above, he will never get 5% of the SS/SE votes. As for Rochas endorsing Fashola, well if he is ready for political death, let him go ahead.
WHY AND WHY MUST NIGERIANS VOTE FOR AN IGBO OR SE MAN/WOMAN RATHER THAN A COMPETENT NIGERIA THAT WOULD SOLVE OUR COLLECTIVE PROBLEMS.

My brother stop thinking like this and have a wider view of things.
PoliticsRe: Fashola/Shekarau 2015 Presidential Ticket???? by aljharem(m): 7:43am On Dec 19, 2012
chukwudi44: This is your own opinion.Millions of these poor lagosians feel otherwise.Have you really gone to the slums to guage the feelings of these poor folks?
I am part of the folk. I live in MAKOKO the slums of the slums in Lagos so what are you talking about. In fact Makoko, Bariga and co are the only areas Okadas are still operational and I am against them.
Nairaland GeneralRe: What Landed You In Nairaland? by aljharem(m): 7:40am On Dec 19, 2012
I landed here when it was first created when searching for Nigeria news but the actual reason why I finally joined NL was because of tribalistic Igbos on this site. Although now, I have a new prospective of NL and how a gentleman is meant to behave even on an anonymous website such as this.
PoliticsRe: Fashola/Shekarau 2015 Presidential Ticket???? by aljharem(m): 7:32am On Dec 19, 2012
chukwudi44: A fashola/shekarau ticket would only win in the southwest.Have you forgotten that the north is already occuppying the vp slot. There are not interested in playing second fiddle.

It would also fail woefully in the south east,south-south and the middle belt.

Do not think everone is happy with fashola, the millions of frustrated pedestrians waiting for two hours @ bus stops and been forced to trek long diostances because of the okada ban would not forgive.Do not think because the less affected people who have cars and laptops and access to the internet would be praising him but these poor folks who constitute the majority will not vote for him
I indeed pity those poor folks because they do not know what is right or wrong for them. Ban of Okada with or without ACN/FASHOLA IS HERE TO STAY IN LAGOS. I am a PDP man and I can categorically tell you that PDP government would do the same if they do not want to lose as well. In fact this Fashola second term, the only thing worth of praises Fashola did is this ban of Okada. Even likes of Bode George and PDP Lagos chapter cannot fault it, why do you think that is the case ? Or do you think is by accident ?

Yeah quite right but my view represents the majority of Nigerians Muslims. I can't not speak for boko haram people but I know good willing Muslims don't mind if truly they are following the ways in which Allah asked us to behave.

Katsumoto: Egba had no interest in Dahomey. Dahomey was trying to expand into Egba towns but were checked several times. Egba was more interested in kicking the British out of Lagos but was distracted by Ibadan to the North and Dahomey to the West.
I find that a bit confusing. I mean did Egba town get to cotonuo and co before dahomey conquered it.
PoliticsRe: Alaafin Tackles Ooni On Yoruba History by aljharem(m): 5:07am On Dec 19, 2012
I actually think it is best we discuss a topic more relevant than this Ooni and Alafin issue.

Do anyone know why Egbas decided to expand towards Dahomey westwards ?
PoliticsRe: Alaafin Tackles Ooni On Yoruba History by aljharem(m): 5:00am On Dec 19, 2012
Katsumoto: No. Oyo didn't really have a powerful army at that time.

Ibadan was fighting on several fronts:
Egba and Ijebu on one front
Ilorin/Ekiti/Ife at Offa
Ekiti/Ijesha/Ife at Kiriji

Modakeke were with Ibadan at Kiriji

Egba had another front with Dahomey and it also had its eyes on Lagos.

Lagos people were partying with Brits on the Island.
thanks katz, I would do more research myself

Yawn, tell me which election that ndigbo, omo yooba and hausawa have not been present ? Politician such as this man need to relax rather than making people panic. What would be would be.
PoliticsRe: Alaafin Tackles Ooni On Yoruba History by aljharem(m): 4:36am On Dec 19, 2012
Katsumoto: Honestly,

The one problem I have with African chiefs is that they didn't consolidate power. If Oyo or Ibadan had continued with their expansion, the brits wouldn't have had it so easy. Oyo leaving so many vassal states resulted in those states becoming more powerful with time as Oyo's power waned. Instead of Oyo becoming a bigger state, its chiefs started fighting amongst themselves. Ibadan messed up by trying to fight everyone at the same time.
Question

Were Ibadans trying to fight with the Oyos as well ? (just to confirm something)
PoliticsRe: Alaafin Tackles Ooni On Yoruba History by aljharem(m): 4:34am On Dec 19, 2012
Katsumoto: You got jokes. grin grin grin grin

Do you know how many times the Brits saved Lagos from Egba and Ijebu forces? And Egba and Ijebu weren't even as fearsome as Oyo/Ogbomoso/Ibadan warriors. grin grin
angry angry angry angry ma je ka ja o ! . especially the Egbas owo people shocked shocked, omo i still dey fear. Those people are really feared by Aworis and Ogus. Ijebus are more on the intelligent side.
PoliticsRe: Fashola/Shekarau 2015 Presidential Ticket???? by aljharem(m): 4:17am On Dec 19, 2012
trillville: The fact that both fashola and shekarau are Muslims makes the ticket a little hard to sell in some regions of the country. 2015 is too big an opportunity for acn, cpc and anpp to play with so hopefully they will present candidates that are truly electable in all parts of the country.
when you say both are Muslims, please realise that some muslims are different from others. I don't mind a Christian ruling my state anyday anytime.
