ladylucky: If u refer to my post u will see where I stated that it was up to the the Oodua electorate to score their leaders not me. Pls be objective and state where/how I compared SE to SW. However I am a little worried that u hv not called the OP to order or criticised him and yet you r fixated on me for allegedly comparing SE to SW. I am curious to know What you have to say to the OP who just insulted a whole ethnic grouphuh
The OP is not worth my time as I have been insulted trying to defend SE before by the same people I try to defend. If you want me to criticise the OP, well justice has already been done by likes of you; need I say more. Sorry that I did not see it from your point of view, I though you were comparing. I truly apologise. smiley

The OP knows he is wrong to post such.
PoliticsRe: Okonjo-iweala Warns Nigerians To Prepare For Economic Recession by aljharem(m): 2:27am On Jun 14, 2012
of course after increasing the price of fuel. I said this during the fuel subsidy crisis even though I am not an economist neither am I intelligent or educated but I am certain that increasing the price of fuel (economic dependence) to world standard would expose our economy to the variation in the world. This was what I predicted.

Now I hope Manny4life would come and explain this. grin grin grin
PoliticsRe: El- -rufai Insulted Igbo Race —obi by aljharem(m): 2:19am On Jun 14, 2012
The brainless El rufai should go and talk about his backward north before we take him serious.

Another thing I've come to realise about nairaland is that to gain notoreity, just post/hate on anything Igbo and watch how you'll become popular on this site. Bigoted goats like Gbawe (a Yoruba who likes licking northern a.rses), dayokanu, bluetooth, ileke idi, and other brainless goon who will go to any length to create excess Id's like alh harem=shymmex=bittyend=brixtonyute=ilaje1444=et.al have all become popular. Thanks to their Igbo-hating tendencies.

All these have made me to finally understood and embrace the "Aka Ikenga" motto which is: "the magic of being IGBO". So in essence, clowns who are nothing in life can assume that they will become something in life as long as they keep attacking those that are looking at leaping into the 21st century, while the haters remain stuck in stone age.

THE BOTTOM LINE IS THAT THE DUNGEON CALLED "ONE NIGERIA" PROTECTS A LOT OF WEAK GROUPS. el rufai and his slaves ON NAIRALAND IS A PROOF OF THIS cool.
SMH for you, keep thinking everyone is Alj harem you go just hang. I am Alj harem one and only, no one else.

I could careless about this topic since it is too ethnic related, thanks to the Governor. If I want to say something, I am not afraid of using Alj harem as you probably can tell with my erratic change in behaviour when likes of you start your tribal ranting.
PoliticsRe: Igbos Cannot Produce The Next President Of Nigeria by aljharem(m): 2:15am On Jun 14, 2012
ladylucky: Pls where did u see me compare the whole SW to the SE. I simply was stating to the OP the fact that most regions have horrible governors/leaders right now . He made the point that SE leaders are bad and as such the SE cannot produce credible candidates for presidency. This is flawed even the SW leaders are no better. In the SE we are still thinking how to survive another 3yrs of Theodore Orji. Pls state where I made any derogatory comments and I will quickly apologise. By d way shouldn't u be calling him to order not mehuh
I did not support him, in fact I am one of those that have never buy to the idea of not having a SE president. Currently I am campaigning for Rochas because he seems to be one of the best governor we have in Nigeria couple with others like Fashola, Gov of Akwa Ibom, Lamido.

Now again there is no bases for comparing SW leaders with the SE. Whether they are better or not is for SWerners to decide isn't it ?
PoliticsRe: APGA Is Dead, Says Chime by aljharem(m): 2:07am On Jun 14, 2012
koruji: They are just too ashamed to annouce it to their members - this is really the silent merging of APGA with PDP. You will see in a couple of weeks/months that its remaining two governors, Rochas & the other one, will join PDP. It is all about acquiring even more power for the SE, even as they make are currently making a terrible mess of the center!!!
That is the case. Well when that time come we would know the true two-face and tribalistic traitors. Time would tell
PoliticsRe: APGA Is Dead, Says Chime by aljharem(m): 2:06am On Jun 14, 2012
koruji: That is why I refer to you guys on this forum and all over the internet as big mouths putting Nigeria down at every opportunity & shouting yourself hoarse about Biafra. You are the same ones who gave PDP 95% to 99% votes last year, and are now claiming to be in control of Nigeria. If we were to go by your Biafran side of the brain you should have divided up Nigeria by now and go off to your promised land of Biafra. Instead, you are holding on to that central "bosom" of Nigeria even more tightly with both hands - along with all the rotten milk it produces.

Most of you on this forum are bifurcated and two-faced. APGA was supposed to represent the true SE cause within Nigeria. APGA may not have advocated itself as a SE party, but that is the way you promoted it. It is deserted now because your real aim was the center, not any gone-with-history Biafra.

And don't think onlookers are deceived - this statements coming out of the woodworks about the death of APGA is really a silent proclamation of the merging of APGA with PDP so that you can advocate a SE right to the presidenty or vice-presidency through PDP in 2015 cool cool cool
Gbamm, I always knew this that is why when I tell them the truth they say Alj harem hate igbo and all other silly things they say from their mouths.
PoliticsRe: Igbos Cannot Produce The Next President Of Nigeria by aljharem(m): 1:39am On Jun 14, 2012
ladylucky: Reading this post I must say that I am truly disappointed with what the OP has said n even more disturbed that no one could call him out, quite frankly it is pure n un diluted bigotry to stand up and categorically dismiss a whole ethnic group, do you represent over 160 million nigerians? U claim u didn't write d post for ethnic reasons, pls tell me what the post was written for? To encourage the igbos? if this is your encouragement pls kip it am sure they have no need for it. Igbos have failed in leadership? how do you explain the soludos, iwualas, akunyuli's,humphry nwosu's n others who excelled in their service . We have not yet produced a Democratically elected president so u just dont know do u?.Pls can you desist from inciting hateful comments btw igbos n other southerners they are our neighbours and we have no quarrel with them. my best friend is Ibibio and her family still believed in Biafra, even my ikwerre friend who will kill u if u call him igbo still concedes dat they would hav been beta off in biafra so whose account should we believe? Should it even matter?? I am sure u have not lived or set foot in akwa ibom or uyo or PH if u did u would have perhaps a more balanced view. Isn't it even hypocritical for you to talk about igbos marginalising the SS? pls pray you how have they fared better in this arrangement called Nigeria? I hope you know that Niger deltans where also slaugtered like nnama by the northern soldiers that is why they fought for Biafra. U r quick to point igbo marginalisation to ibibios but u can't even see that by this statement u have marginalised the whole SE since they are to primitive to rule over Nigeria, just like d ijaw fisherman right? In your blinded attempt to ridicule igbo leaders u failed to also xray ur own leaders in the SW pls enlighten us with the groundbreaking changes and policies they have put in place, d only western leader I have any respect for is Fashola as we can testify to his works, pls tell us wht ur leaders have done?even at that I will not insult them it is up to the oodua electorate to rate them not me, If SE/SS should go by your past leaders we can also beat our chest and say that the SW should not rule Nigeria as they are incapable of producing corruption free candidates from Obj to tinubu to Bankole ?? While we know dat our leaders have much more to do pls and pls do not place a leader like Rochas a known philanthropist who has given free education up to tertiary level in Imo and is planning a free university with pple like Aregbesola, Obi has built a refinery, attracted Sabmiller and LG and currently working on onitsha port, let us not even start with Chime. I hAve a lot of yoruba friends and they do not think of Igbos in this derogatory way. I am even more shocked that no one could even call this poster to order pls let us desist from this Clannish tribal beating it is very disheartening, I even read somewhere on a thread where someone was justifying the killing of over 60,000 igbos saying they had it coming. Pls do not support evil just to score cheap points here I will never support Ndigbo if they suddenly decide to say its ok to murder OOdua civilian women and kids just to score political points. What happened was ethnic cleansing and will soon repeat itself if we do not all rise to fight Boko haram and this time it may not only be the SE/SS who will bare the brunt of it. It is pitiful that this is a site that u should be using to propagate one Nigeria yet u have decided to show your mentality by trying to impose your superiority over other ethnic groups. R U A DICTATORhuh?? And oh we do not claim to be an intelligent and hardworking people, IT IS A FACT!
Excuse me Missy but what is the bases of comparing SW with your SE people ?

PoliticsRe: APGA Is Dead, Says Chime by aljharem(m): 1:37am On Jun 14, 2012
Thank God that ACN/CPC did not waste there time on APGA. They are "sell outs". Time for APGA members to join PDP cry cry cry

I just hope the main people in the SE are not draw by the prospect of appointments PDP is giving them because all that would end as soon as GEJ leave.

Let Rochas join CPC or ACN and let everyone in the country push for Roachas presidency regardless of zones. We need a Nigerian (i hope he is not pretending).

Obi and co can go sleep, they stood no chance. Up Roachas
CultureRe: Why Do Yoruba People Bury Dead People In Their Balconies? by aljharem(m): 1:29am On Jun 14, 2012
Ptolomeus: There is absolutely nothing wrong with that. They are traditions, and also have a reason, no doubt a Yoruba can explain. Who will judge something like that is ignorant, and unaware that each nation has its traditions, its culture and history.
My respects.
No problems smiley smiley smiley Much appreciated.
CultureRe: Why Do Yoruba People Bury Dead People In Their Balconies? by aljharem(m):
Nothing may be wrong with it. Why is it done? There must be a reason behind it
Ok I would try and answer your question. I hope it helps since I am not an expert in yoruba tradition.

I am not aware of people being buried in balconies but I know of the burial in backyard. In my great grandmother's house ( died last year at age 125 years but no birth certificate to prove), I notice the same occurrence at the back garden. Most likely that the burial spot of Great grandfather. From this knowing full well she was born in the late 1800's I would suspect there was no cemetery dedicated for the dead unlike this days thus in other to honour the dead they did that back then. I am not sure if they still do it now (I mean it was only one person that was buried there as far as I am aware and she was not buried there).

I hope I have answered your question, again knowing full well that I am not a yoruba expert but using real life circumstances to say what I know and how I arrived to the conclusion.

Lastly, That is not Yoruba tradition !!!!
PoliticsCassava Bread Will Reduce Cost Of Importation by aljharem(op): 9:27pm On Jun 13, 2012
Ijebu-Ode (Ogun State) – The Association of Small Scale Agro Producers in Nigeria(ASSAPIN) said on Tuesday that the Federal Government initiative in substituting wheat flour with cassava flour in bread making would reduce cost of importation.

Mr Joshua Mabinuori, the Association’s National Vice President, who stated this in an interview in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun, said the initiative is a policy in the right direction.

“We all know that the wheat we are using to produce bread is being imported into the country. So if we are substituting the imported wheat with the locally produced cassava, it means we are reducing the cost of importation.

“And as result of this, the money being spent on wheat importation will go into the pockets of the local cassava farmers rather than pockets of foreign farmers and this will eventually turn the economy around for good.

“Besides, it will also result to job creation because more people will be attracted to cassava farming due to readily available buyers.

“In all, the idea is a welcome development and we appreciate the government for this initiative and it shows that there is still hope for the small-scale farmers in the country.“

Mabinuori, however, criticised the government for not carrying small-scale farmers along before the bill for cassava in bread was sent to the National Assembly.

The ASSAPIN boss noted that small-scale farmers who are the direct beneficiaries of the bill were ignorant of the contents of the bill.

“ If government is talking about farmers need without getting in touch with the smal-scale farmers at the grassroots, then it is not the need of the farmers government is interested in.

“As good as the bill is, government failed to carry the farmers along and this should not be the case because without farmers involvement there is no how the initiative can be realised. But all the same we are in support of the bill.”

Mabinuori, however, appealed to the National Assembly to see to the speedy passage of the bill in the overall interest of the nation. (NAN)

Poverty and tribalism by brother. It seems liek these Igbo people are born with bigotry both ethnic and religious.

How can a man that sunk Bibles be voted for by Christians and Muslims alike. I am a Muslim and if Abiola did that I would never had supported him, not to talk of Christians.

From 1972 until his death Moshood Abiola had been conferred with 197 traditional titles by 68 different communities in Nigeria, in response to the fact that his financial assistance resulted in the construction of 63 secondary schools, 121 mosques and churches, 41 libraries, 21 water projects in 24 states of Nigeria, and was grand patron to 149 societies or associations in Nigeria. In this way Abiola reached out and won admiration across the multifarious ethnic and religious divides in Nigeria. In addition to his work in Nigeria, Moshood Abiola was a dedicated supporter of the Southern African Liberation movements from the 1970s and he sponsored the campaign to win reparations for slavery and colonialism in Africa and the diaspora. Chief Abiola, personally rallied every African head of state, and every head of state in the black diaspora to ensure that Africans would speak with one voice on the issues.

ubandire: .

Funny how people reason or understand things how can someone in his right senses come up with this view, when I saw the post I was interested to go through it cos i enjoy the calculation and permutations in politics, but only to be discouraged by this reply, while trying as much as possible not to be tribalised, why would people always come up with issues bordering on sentiment and ethnic bias, why would you refer the ibos as lovers of money and have what you refer to as Jonathan madness.I tend to disagree with you on these issues. The ibos presently have the most liberal voters in the country at the
moment which has reflected in the voting pattern of the five eastern states,PDP 3 APGA 2,it was even bola tinubu who was rumoured to have collected money from the president to trade in the acn presidential election in Lagos state, though I don't buy it given that many factors and sentiments counted in the build up to the last presidential election,so Jonathan enjoyed tremendous support and goodwill through out the length and breadth of this country, and that's what baffled me most when this writer termed it the s/e's craze for Gej,the president was never an ethnic president and will never be.That's to say that the south west have lived with the Awo madness,my brother so many factors colour the nigerian presidential elections which are more than ethnicity, religious or financial, you would agree with me if you have followed the terrain from the ' 79 elections till now,no Nigerian will ever win presidential elections playing ethnic cards.be cautious when you make some comments.
My brother, that is complete trash you wrote up there. Did you even read my comment and understand before posting. In fact now you brought the topic up, I would try to break it down for you

The fact remains that the GEJ madness going around Igbos right now is due to tribal reasons. Whether SE vote for GEJ in 2015 is una business.

As usual others would vote for credible candidates, the question is who would you vote for ? Merit or another person with Igbo middle name. It is complete upto you and your ohaneze

Onlytruth: For me though, I would rather that APGA present their own candidate, win or lose.
The sooner we start contesting presidential elections, the better for the party. That is why I hate all these APGA/PDP unity talks. Let every party answer its fathers name. cool
if everyone answer their papa name, PDP would win again; back to square one.

APGA to lay down their pride and allow talks to go on which CPC AND ACN. If you want a better Nigeria, well there you have it.

if APGA want rochas (which i am in support of) why not table this down in the talk and lets hear their response (ACN/CPC).

All this "i would do alone" would take us no where. The suffering of Tunji is the same as Ngozi and Fatima.

Olalekan 0: You have no idea what's going on in Osun.Aregbe has borrowed over 90B meanwhile he was crticizing his predecessor for borrowing just 18B!
90 billion that was meant for the railway project (connecting the SW/Edo states) according to DAWN program ?

What Aregbesola is doing is certainly not sustainable. He is looking at short term projects rather than Long term project as he promised before being elected.

I wonder why politicians don't follow plans. We were promised something, he is giving us another thing.

Misplaced priority and I really hope this would not make ACN lose in Osun next election
