Nothing wrong with the 1st link. If what he stated is false, people only need to present the truth with facts, that way people learn. I have moved the 2nd link.

PoliticsB-r-e-a-k-i-n-g N-e-w-s : Boko Haram Deny Abducting Europeans Killed Failed Resc by aljharem(op): 11:07pm On Mar 09, 2012
KANO (AFP) – Nigerian Islamist group Boko Haram on Friday denied any involvement in the kidnapping of a Briton and Italian who were killed during a bid to rescue them in northwestern Sokoto city.

“We are not behind the hostage taking … which led to the military operation yesterday in Sokoto in which the hostages were killed,” said the group’s spokesman Abul Qaqa in a conference call with reporters.

“We have never been involved in hostage-taking and it’s not part of our style, and we never ask for ransom,” he said.

“We know how to settle our scores with anybody. Therefore the allegation that the kidnappers were members of our group is ridiculous.”

Nigeria’s government “had better get its facts straight and find the true identity of the kidnappers,” Qaqa added.

“They should not use us to mask their incompetence.”

The two expatriate workers were killed during a failed British-Nigerian military attempt to rescue them at a house in Nigeria’s far-northwestern city of Sokoto after nearly a year in captivity.

Britain said Italian engineer Francesco Molinara, 48, and his British colleague Chris McManus, 28, were shot by their captors before they could be rescued in the assault authorised by Prime Minister David Cameron.

Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan said the kidnappers were from the Islamist group Boko Haram, which has waged a violent campaign of gun and explosives attacks mainly in the country’s northeast.

Witnesses in Sokoto however cast doubt on Jonathan’s assertion that the kidnappers were from the Islamist group.

They described an intense gun battle that lasted several hours and in which at least two hostage-takers were killed in the operation.

Diplomats have said some Boko Haram members have sought training abroad, but there had not been evidence of operational links with foreign groups.

Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb has in recent years claimed kidnappings of foreign workers in countries including Niger, which borders Nigeria to the north, but never in Nigeria. Sokoto state borders Niger.

Your(Igbos)  hate towards AWOLOWO, made some Yorubas hate Ojukwu.

Awo and Ojukkwu were still friend after the civil war.

But Igbo propaganda  made Awo and Yorubas look bad.

HNosegbe:
@Okosodo, yes, my earnest prayer is for Nigeria to attain nationhood so that we can fulfil our potential.

@ Beaf, I disagree. A nation is built when a group of people develop a collective sense of togetherness, a common identity and common purpose. We clearly have not developed these attributes, primarily because we have been beset by leaders who have always told us that the Hausa man is different from his Igbo brother, and that the Ijaw man should regard the Kanuri as an alien.

Our apparent lack of nationhood is a thing of the mind. It will take decades of cultural and mental evolution for the concept of "One Nigeria" to truly sink in, where a man from Oyo State will see himself first as Nigerian before being Yoruba.

For now, our best shot at development is to encourage regional integration, whereby our various regions will be autonomous and productive, not depending on economic rent from centrally-controlled oil earnings.
thank you. Nicely put

Lets first access ourselves

@beaf

Do you know most of the people in the Lagos creeks, are either, Egun, Ilaje,Itsekiri or Ijaw.
Nope there are no Ijaws in Lagos

Yes those in the creeks and Islands are Egun, Awori and some Ilaje. Also their are not Itsekiris in Lagos

Itsekiris are found in Delta, southeast of Ondo and a bit of Ogun state

Beaf:
It does not have to take decades. What is required is the provision of a shared direction and all other things will follow.
Unfortunately, boko haram precludes this at the mo, but as Nigerians, we can find something that would truly bind us as one in thought and aspiration.
Beaf, is it not clear we are not one nation ? For how long do we continue to deceive ourselves ?

Although we love each other too much for a complete split, so is SNC the best option ?

Today we have Mend, OPC, Boko Haram, Arewa, Ohaneze, Afenifere, Massob, Massop, this youth that youth, with each fighting the wind.

It is best we split the country into 5 zones and boundaries adjusted.

if that is done everyone would be happy

The Niger-delta can export their oil and live large

The Yorubas can do their own thing

The Igbos can have more states

The Core northern governors can wake up

The middle belt can do their own thing

Niger-deltans would be the riches and that is my wish for them, God has bless them and let no man put sand for their garri. It is time they enjoy their land

Please tell GEJ to support SNC, if not this country might be heading for a civil war

alhaji,  drink water,  relax wink wink
No wahala my brother, I don cool down

To conclude this, I wish GEJ can do SNC where each region does their own thing and feed on their own IGR.

As for the Oil, Let Niger-delta have their Oil so we can have peace. It us unfair to keep taking oil from their land without any development.

This has nothing to do with Tribe or ethnicity, The Northern gov speak for themselves because they are theives and an average Northerner has not benefited from this Oil so please lets not tribalise the issue.

I remember when Cocoa was in the west, the Igbos were employed and yorubas did not kill the Igbos because of that.

Lets live in peace, Oil would finish one day, the question is what legacy have we left for our future generations if we start a civil war or genocide because of Oil  ?

As usual some would be quick to call others cowards but it is sense really, People need to start asking HOW MANY CIVIL WARS have China, America, Uk etc fought ?

Nigeria is the only country in this world begging for a war to happen. The northern Leaders have keep the people uneducated we as a people should reverse that thread by educating ourselves to the reality on ground

DaLover:
This is wishing u a speedy recovery for ur paranoia, i honestly think it is getting the better of you, obviously u have refused to answer my questions in my previous post, telling us the md of shell is from delta state and we dont know the difference between itsekiris and yorubas,
population of itsekiri in delta state is not up to 200k and chevron and they have to battle chevron constantly to get for any little chances they have to work there, chevron would rather employ from lagos, there have been several publicized protest by itsekiris against this,
Urhobos and ibos form the major populations in delta state followed by ijaws and isokos before itsekiris.
Hmmm but Igbos are not the majority in Delta state and infact when people talk of delta state we talk of Ijaw, Itsekiri and Urhobo being the majority. I wonder where you got Igbo from

anyway, Again you do not know the different between Itsekiri and Yoruba because if you do then you would know the top positions are reserved for Niger-delta people which might even be Akoko people or Apoi Ijaw

Are they not all Niger-delta ? Moreover as for the Itsekiris it is not the population that matters but the land they occupy (the avocados) where 70 % of delta state oil comes from.

Yes Itsekiris would protest even Ilajes who happen to be yorubas would protest if something does not favour them. Did this articule not mention "Ijaw/Itsekiri youths" ?

If something does not favour you, would you not protest ? Or do you think they are as tribalistic as you ?

Even Aworis can protest, Igbos can protest etc it has nothing to do ethnicity but about interest.

I hope I have answered your question ?

Now this are the top 3 people working in shell as of today, this is just to show you your hypocrisy

Chike Onyejekwe - Igbo from ENUGU, is he NOT even Niger-delta
