Wrong!

Has the northerners faced genocide as they targeted southerners for no reason? The answer is no.
has the yorubas faced genocide as they target northerners

this are minor issues

if the we the north try to this which would lead to civil war, there is high chance of genocide, even boko harem that want to convert the whole 36 states in nigeria into islam are been very careful!!!

if they are serious, they should have brought there beleives to lagos or enugu, but there leaders eg zamfara governor knows the consequences.

Kobojunkie:
I understand you are studying Liberia and all but, I think you are still missing the point. Before the civil wars, Liberian lived in what many would term relative peace( even with all the stresses), but the hate eventually boiled over  resulting in the civil war where you had neighbors hacking off heads and limbs of others in their communities. Similar could also be said of recent happenings in places like Kenya, Zimbabwe, Congo, Uganda, Sudan, Somalia etc

I believe the most recent on that that list is Zimbabwe, a country that shifted, almost overnight into chaos. This is followed close by Kenya, a country where the people had lived in relative peace for so long . . . I remember Kenya used to be known as a tourist paradise, until less than 2 years ago when we saw videos of people going from house to house to butcher those they could find. These examples serve to remind us in Africa that we are never too far away from having this happening within our own shores. It serves to remind us that as long as groups continue to feel marginalized and or ignored, there is that potential for chaos to erupt. We have been sitting on a bomb in Nigeria that we need to work to diffuse and do so quickly to, unless we are willing to allow it to blow up and push us into civil war.
that is a bloody lie

any group that starts it
i repeat any group that trys it would liklly face genocide
fact!!!!

this might even lead to igbos been killed by opc in sw region as a show of discrimation against the yoruba race

name the airport in enugu after awolowo, you make me laugh, the igbo would never use the properties again and they tell him to come and remove the properties from igboland. even if they name abuja after him, boro haram would go and burn down the place. and they shout one nigeria.
this is why edo, delta and yoruba needs to get out now

Larufa:
The renaming of Liberty Stadium after the late sage is an INSULT to every sensible Yoruba. The stadium is nothing but an abandoned FGN property -- THERE IS NOTHING WORKING THERE AS AT TODAY, I'm born and bred at OSOSAMI road, a stone throw from the stadium. I know the stadium inside out. Why did Jonathan not name it after his political Godfather (OBJ)but the best Yoruba man ever to live after our Oduduwa.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
i dont know for how long the hopeless and visionless politicians will continue to cling to Awo's name to get votes. GEJ visited Ogun State and renamed a stadium in Oyo State, he really lack ideas. He should rename Nigeria Nnamdi Azikwe to get vote from the Ibo's. What an insult! Mumu president.

Beaf:
It is foolish to just say, do not canvass war.
In fact, such an attitude could see war foisted on the unwary. We need to ask ourselves the reasons for war and actively negate such reasons.

In simple words, we need to solve our problems or we might be caught unawares; if a man in the North takes up arms, we need to listen to his reasons; if a man in the Niger Delta takes up arms, we need to listen to his reasons. There is usually a deadly underlying reason that can be found with a little investigation; that reason might be a genuine cry out or it might be that the man is being used because desperation or unusual poverty or exploitaion or illiteracy. In any event, there is always an underlying reason that can only be reached by listening and reasoning.
Unforetunately, the qualities of listening, reasoning and deep thinking are not practiced by the average Nigerian. We are still caught up in the command mentality of yesteryears; that singular weakness can bring war on us, even if we wear out our knees in incessant prayer and bore the Heavens with inane wishes.

Lets tackle the issues and stop wishing.
so he or she that takes arms is suffering more than the person that did not take up arms
think huh angry

if u go to borno state, this are the thinks u would notice
lack of water
extreme heat
unemployment
no school
poverty
disperse people
our people are been discriminate in the south
etc

but in the so called niger delte
there are schools
there is port harcount as a trading center
it is not has hot and frustrating as the north
there is water every where
etc

so do u think niger delta people are suffering or it is just greed affecting there reasoning
