Politics › Re: 5 Reasons Why Arewa Republic Will Fail by aljharem(m): 2:05pm On Nov 09, 2010 |
auwal87: Let me start from the bottom up.
Your points are not qualified at all, you know why Arewa people are not doing anything at the moment? Because they are Lazy, do you know why they are Lazy? Because of Oil.
5- IBB and Co are all going to die soon, new fresh bloods will emerge soon, with hearts of courage to empower our people
4- Arewa unlike any other Muslim countries are far more liberal, some few bad elements emerge because of poverty and seeking name only, but Arewa will be just like Turkey in Europe, or Malaysia in Asia, or Bahrain in Middle East.
3- Almajirai are a great resource for Arewa Republic, in no time, they will disappear from the streets, 65% that is not fear, we have more civil servants than any region in Nigeria, go to the ministries in Abuja and other states of Arewa, they are all from Arewa (at least 90%). This is the reality, we have qualified doctors, qualified engineers (go to ABU Zaria and see those behind the Nuclear project, they are all from Arewa), we have Business Gurus (Arewa even though it doesn't have sea ports, most of the distributions are carried from here, I have never seen someone traveling from Arewa to Odua or Biafra to purchase imported food stuffs, but you will see lots of them coming to Arewa to purchase imported stuffs, go to Singer market in Kano, you will see what I am telling you, that markets carries transactions worth billions of naira every single day, why? Because we consume. See Arewa, only those who are ignorant about the country will tell you we only have Almajirai. Because that's what you see in the south.
2- NO! A big NO! Oil is only a curse to Nigeria, only the wicked countries look at Nigeria with like that. The good countries want Nigeria to get their facts right, abandon oil, or at least depend less on oil, develop other sectors, generate employment. You see having an Oil in Nigeria is only a curse to Arewa because it made our people lazy and depends heavily on salaries and revenues from the federal government. But by the time there is no oil, people will understand, and they will wake up to the reality. They will ask question to themselves. What about if this people abandon us, what should we tell our children and grand children, what have we done for them?
1- Yes, Landlocked, but see also in Europe:::: Andorra Armenia Austria Belarus Czech Republic Vatican City (Holy See) Hungary Liechtenstein Luxembourg Moldova San Marino Serbia Slovakia Switzerland
They are all landlocked countries. Aren't they better than Nigeria in terms of Anything?
Boy, wake up, Arewa is not what you think it is; gbam gbam gbam one we secede, thing would get better for us |

DapoBear: Whatever it is they lack, we can provide. Point is, we are there to support them. They won't get wiped out of Warri or the Delta under our watch. gbam not only yorubas but northerners also |

EzeUche0: Are the Ijaws even native to Nigeria? I heard they originated from Ghana. They are similar to the Ga people. gbam gbam gbam they migrated from ghana 1000 years ago and yet they claim land in nigeria |

EzeUche0: To be honest, I have always doubted the Ijaw population number. They cannot be the largest ethnic group in the South-South. The Ibibio, Annang, and Efik people have the numbers. I am not saying this, because I am half Igbo ijaws are not even the largest ethnic group in nigerdelta it just a political move by obj there are isoko, itsekiri, efik, yorubas, igbos, ibibios, annang, ogoni, ekoi, esan, etc that made up nigerdelta so how come ijaw is the largest of them and with what population lies i tell u, lies |

EzeUche0: Lets be honest, the Itsekiri have powerful allies in the Yoruba. Many Yoruba consider these people as the same as them. Likewise, the Anioma Igbo have allies amongst the hinterland Igbo. look, the sooner ikweerri, ika etc see themselves as one(igbo), the better it is for them in nigeria if the igbos can not speak with one voice, then they would be politically irrelevant to nigeria the ijaws are shifting igbos away from power, day by day |

Beaf: If there is an equitable union in which population is negated as a political intrument, ND people wouldnt mind being with the Igbo's. But I see an ND state as more likely and with the presence of Delta state people, we should be able to work out a system where etnic population does not count; that will be necessary to protect our smallest groups, the Itsekiri and the Isoko. who told u itsekiri is a small group |

DapoBear: If the Itsekiri shall not be in Biafra, then it seems doubtful to me that Warri or Delta state is likely to follow. gbam itsekiri is a dialect of ijebu but they oringnated from the benin kingdom ijaw people are not the 4th largest ethnic group, it is just a political slogan by obj ijaws are not the owner of warri |
Politics › Re: South East And South South Can Go With The Oil, Sokoto And Lagos Will Survive by aljharem(m): 1:12am On Nov 09, 2010 |
i think the ss like us northerners because we both share a common goal to make this country a better islamic state for our citizen but soon enough igbos would join us in this union, i bet u because igbo, ijaws and us northerners share a very common goal ss with the igbo, i don't see that happen because must igbos and ohaneze re for ibb instead of gj wish is the ss only optunity to be president |

Politics › Re: South East And South South Can Go With The Oil, Sokoto And Lagos Will Survive by aljharem(m): 12:05am On Nov 09, 2010 |
DapoBear: Nope, he is completely correct. The lot of your average man or woman in Singapore is far better than that of your average Saudi.
Trade does not cease, even if political division occurs. Trade benefits both sides; stopping trade for political reasons is cutting your nose off to spite your face. If they stop selling us tomatoes, then we have to source it from somewhere else, likely at higher cost. And at the same time, it is another business and area of potential profit shut out for them. tell them dapo this people do not understand how politics and economies works shame, all they know is what happened in 1967, shame |
Politics › Re: Should The Nigerian Civil War Be Remembered? by aljharem(m): 11:59pm On Nov 08, 2010 |
Missy85: Celebrated? I assume you mean, marked.
But this only happened about 40 years ago, marking it now will be too traumatic for those who fought in it & are still alive, as well as the many civilians caught up in it & their younger relatives. I think it should wait a little longer.
Best thing for Nigeria to do for now is take good care of the living victims of the war.
Also, the sight of a smug-looking Ojukwu on our TVs will be too much for many, including me. The guy has never apologised for his failed war strategy & the millions of lives (mostly his own people) lost
My opinion. your opinion is right, i think ojukwu should be jailed for the death of thousands of people. i mean he collecting pension from the same enemy he fought against |
