early this month I attended an interview with a popular NGO online, the outcome of which I just got notified today 30th November, 2021 to resume work on December 2nd, 2021 with 100k pay. This job is based in Niger state capital. They need me to accept the offer by replying affirmative o the notification mail before sending my contract letter.
I am in dilemma here. Hence your good advice is needed. Please note that I am still in Ogun at the moment. Thank you.

The police in Ogun State have arrested no fewer than seven men said to be members of a serial ritual killer syndicate in different parts of Abeokuta over the murder of one Sunday Okosun and three other unknown persons.

The suspects were identified by the police as Samod Sulaiman, Ifayemi Madru and Lekan Oladipupo of Sotan village; Sulaiman Aremu of Imala Elega; Shittu Saheed of Alarugbo village, Akanji Moruf of Alabata village and Tajudeen Adekunle of Sapon, all in Abeokuta.

Ogun police spokesman, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said the arrest of the suspects came after a report was lodged at Bode Olude police division by one Abraham Okosun, a brother of the deceased Sunday Okosun.

The complainant had told the police that he visited his brother, Sunday at Agbara village via Mawuko Abeokuta, only to discover that the he had been “brutally murdered by unknown person(s), and his remains had been dismembered.”

As a result, the DPO of Bode Olude division, DSP Durojaye Rotimi, was said to have visited the scene with his crack detectives and embarked on an intelligence-based investigation to fish out the killers of Sunday Okosun.

“Acting on credible information, the detectives traced and apprehended Lekan Oladipupo, who on interrogation, confessed being the actual person who shot and killed the deceased with his Dane gun. His confession led to the arrest of the other six suspects,” Oyeyemi disclosed.

The Ogun Police Public Relations Officer explained that each of the arrested suspects confessed to the police, their roles in the gruesome murder of the deceased and others who have been killed in similar circumstances.

While Lekan Oladipupo claimed to be the one to search for and kill their victims in the bush around Mawuko, Sulaiman Aremu’s role was to butcher the corpse of the victim and remove vital parts to be distributed to their standby customers, DAILY POST learnt.

Their customers were identified by Oyeyemi as Ifayemi Badru, who bought the heart, hands, and other parts; Shittu Saheed who bought the head, Akanji Moruf who bought the heart of another victim and Tajudeen Adekunle, who also bought the head of another victim.

The suspects, according to Oyeyemi, had confessed to killing about four persons, adding that their bodies parts were used for money-making rituals.

“They also informed the police that they have code names for each human part whenever they want to request for it from their butcher man. For example, they normally referred to human head as ball, the heart as a transformer, while the hands are code-named fans,” he said.

While stating that the gun and cutlass used for the killings have been recovered, Oyeyemi quoted the Ogun Commissioner of Police, Lanre Bankole, as describing the incident as the height of man’s inhumanity to man.

The CP, he said, ordered that the suspects be transferred to the homicide section of the state CIID for discreet investigation with a view to charging them to court.

The House of Reps Member representing Agwara/Borgu Federal Constituency, Jafaru Muhammad (APC, Niger), has raised an alarm that the Super Tucano fighter jets stationed at the 407 Air Weapon Training School, New Bussa, are exposed to the risk of getting attacked by bandits.

He said this while moving a motion at plenary on Tuesday.

Presenting the motion, he called on the federal government to address banditry in communities in his constituency, which he said share proximity with where the air assets are located.

He said, “Nigeria’s Super Tucano Fighter Jets, which are being kept at the 407 Air Weapon Training School, New Bussa, are exposed to the risk of getting destroyed, given its proximity to the location of bandits at the Kainji National Park in the Borgu Game reserve.

“The Correctional Centre situated in 221 and 101 battalions and has some insurgents incarcerated therein poses great risk to public safety, lives and properties in the areas within the Constituency.”

Muhammed said,communities in Babanna and Malale wards, some parts of Wawa, Shagunu and Pissa/Kabe Wards in Borgu Local Government Areas as well as Mago town in Agwara Local Government were massively attacked by bandits who have been destroying houses and valuable properties on weekly basis.

He said, many people, including the District Head of Wawa and the aged mother of a serving Member of the Niger State House of Assembly, were abducted while others, including the District Head of Dekare and many guards at Kainji National Park, were killed during the attacks.

He, therefore, urged the Federal Government to deploy sufficient Military Personnel to 221 and 101 battalions in Wawa and 407 Air Weapon Training School New Bussa to protect lives and national assets.

The motion was adopted and passed by the house.

The Federal Government procured the Super Tucano jets from the US to boost the fight against insecurity.

Describing Marwa as a God sent leader that will turn the lives of Adamawa people around for the better, General Buhari said “Marwa has done it in other places like Lagos and Borno, comprising two states, So nobody should be in doubt about what he will do in his own state”.

“If Marwa says he will provide free education, I believe him, If Marwa says he will provide free health care, I believe him. If he says he would provide security for lives and property, I believe him and if he says he will bring change, I believe him because he has done it before, So give him your support because he is a good man”, Buhari said.

On his part, Marwa said, “All Nigerians leaving in Adamawa state irrespective of tribe and religious leaning would be treated with justice, equity and fair play. Everybody in Adamawa will be accorded equal rights”.
