When asked why his players conceded so many yellow cards, he said.

Referees always book Arsenal more than other teams. Refs go out to book our players.

Now go ahead and back him up.
What AW said was Obvious!!!! 7 yellows. . . the one for Silvestre was deserved but not for RAMSEY,WILSHERE !!!!!

its on in the FA Cup that a draw takes the game to Home/away fixtures!

so a winner MUST emerge tonight.

Wish the young gun best of luck!

Cristalz:
Wednesday's Carling Cup quarter-final fixtures sees Arsenal taking a trip to the City of Manchester Stadium to meet hosts, Manchester City.

Coach Mark Hughes has been under a little bit of pressure lately to produce better results than are currently being produced, considering the extent of cash spent to bring a number of big names over to the club. So against Arsenal, Hughes will be looking to make a statement about the effectiveness of his side by keeping them in the tournament and edging Arsenal out of it.
Robinho is back in attack for City, and should start this match. Emmanuel Adebayor, Craig Bellamy, Santa Cruz and Carlos Tevez are also eager to have a go at Arsenal.
Likely names in midfield are Stephen Ireland, Nigel De Jong, Gareth Barry and Shaun Wright-Philips. Wright-Philips has got the necessary pace to counter Arsenal's(in form of Theo Walcott), and Ireland is always a good attacking force.
Defenders Lescott, Sylvinho, Komapany, Zabaletta were the 4 that featured in City's last Carling Cup match. Not likely that there will be any change, but if there is, it should be the addition of Kolo Toure. Shay Given will be in goal.

Arsenal will be looking for a win on Wednesday night to boost their confidence after suffering a 3 - 0 defeat to Chelsea in the EPL on Sunday. They've been impressive in the Carling Cup so far(their last win was over Liverpool, kicking Benitez and his men out) so this shouldn't be any different.
Striker Robin Van Persie eagerly anticipated featuring in this game, but unfortunately for him and Arsenal, he is sidelined with a rather serious injury.
With Bendtner also out injured, coach Wenger is left with Eduardo and Carlos Vela.
Likely names to start in midfield include Aaron Ramsey, Fran Merida Perez, Denilson, Nasri and Eboue. However, things are rather different now - after the EPL losses to Sunderland and Chelsea, Arsene Wenger would very much like to win this encounter to restore confidence in his side. And, as Manchester City have proven themselves tenacious opponents in the past, having a strong midfield will not be a bad idea.
In this light, Theo Walcott, Cesc Fabregas and Tomas Rosicky
should make the bench in case of an emergency situation on the pitch, goal-wise.
Defenders Armand Traore, William Gallas, Tomas Vermaelen, Silvestre, Sagna and Senderos are available for Wenger to choose from.
Arsenal really need to try and keep a clean sheet.  .  .as their scoring frequency seems to have reduced, the least they can do is keep things tight at the back.
In this regard, Almunia is the best goalie option, but we'll likely see Fabianski or Mannone.
This will definitely be a tough encounter.
I can bet wiv ma Wifey that those names in BOLD won't feature against shity. . . .

expect players like -
Troare, silvestre,Senderous,Craig Eastmond,Coquelin,Wat,Wilshere,Ramsey, Randall other that may likey feature is Vela,Walcot and maybe Nasri/Rosicky
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only. In Wenger We Trust! by allboyz(m): 7:42pm On Nov 30, 2009
yes L'arse lost and that should not make you guys dumb to rate Eduardo so lowly. . . .

Eduardo is class. . .he's only having a bad time - back from injury into face media over dive issues - back to another injury. . .the guy is psychologically down.

i'm sure he will come out good.

next stop is Stoke City - really don't give a damn abt the shity game nxt tmrw!
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only. In Wenger We Trust! by allboyz(m): 3:46pm On Nov 30, 2009
Theo walcot has not improve YET. . . .He still needs to play more Carling cup games. . .BTW - what happen to Song was he injured?

unless we have our best 11. . .i don't see our current Arsenal side beating Chelsea's first 11. . .Truth be told!

but i think Eduardo is suffering some psycological prbs. . .its really affecting his game. . .the sharpness, agility and pace. . .what's wrong? so many questions! huh huh

Eboue @ left back would be a disaster!
Why would we do that when we have 4 defenders that could do the job there?Traore, silvester,Sagna and even Gallas(but Gallas should remain Central)
nah broda i wldn't want us to twist or change the partnership of TV5 and willy.

the options at LB is strictly for Silvestre,Troare and Eboue and of the 3. . .i will prefer Eboue then Troare.

we are playing a dynamic team in Chelsea with a lots of runs and any mistake from our defense will result in a goal. . . .so we need pace to balance things up from the attack to defence. . .

i am not satisfied with the up-front play of Troare. . .i think he still lacks the final ball delivery that Gibbs and Clichy offers the team and the bites in our attack. . .for me,Eboue can give us that and PLEASE FORGET SILVESTRE!!!!!
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only. In Wenger We Trust! by allboyz(m): 1:57pm On Nov 26, 2009
i will prefer Eboue play at the LB position come Sunday due to his pace and ability to add bites to the attack unlike Troare and Silvestre!

this must be the biggest game this year aside the UCL semis in april/may
