PoliticsRe: Ten (10) Reasons Why You Should Not Vote Goodluck Jonathan In April by Allwell(m): 12:11pm On Mar 04, 2011
I don't believe the reasons the poster gave are reasonable enough not to vote for GEJ. However i'd know that i'm not going to vote for him cos he has nothing to offer. For heaven's sake, GEJ is currently the president and has all he needs to lay a solid framework for the development of this country but he has refused to acknowledge that fact.
Also i'm sure that the problem of this country is not just our bad leaders but bad families that control every sector of the country. Believe me or not some families are in charge of the police, military, oil bloc allocation, NPA, PHCN etc. So to make Nigeria work, get rid of there godfamilies.

TravelRe: Calling All Diasporans, Hints And Tips Needed To Survive This Recession by Allwell(m):
Hey Poster.
I think the best way out in this austere times is to increase your cashflow. Although I don't live in the UK, I hope my advice will be of great help.
Set aside some amount of money from your income and use it to buy some assests that are sure to bring in some amount of money. You could also learn to braid hairs and I'm sure that would increase your income. Even though your assest base might not be as large as expected, you will agreee with me that overtime they sure will raise some money for you. Pls don't wait for the government to come to your rescue cos I'm sure they are all confused that's why we got in this financial mess in the first place.
God be with you!
PoliticsRe: Gej Should Declare A State Of Emergency In Abia State (aba): by Allwell(m): 4:21pm On Sep 28, 2010
Things have fallen apart in Abia state. Two years back I told who ever cared to listen that Abia state is already a failed state. The signs were all over the place, with individuals totting weapons about, crime spree and hostage taking. I think the Governor ought to resign because he has failed to deliver not just on security but also on infrastructure.

I wonder who was responsible for the switch on yesterday, the military guys or PHCN officials.
The level of corruption in that sector is alarming! President Jonathan please carry out a revamp of that sector and other sectors immediately!!!
CareerRe: Chemical & Process Engineers Forum by Allwell(m): 3:51am On Aug 11, 2010
Thanks Ajanlekoko for your posts. They were really insightful. I'm a final year student of FUTO. My six months IT really got me wondering about the intricacies of the system. I wrote tons of applications to as much firm as i could but got replies from only Shell and Mobil.
I do a lot of followup on the dailies but don't get to see as much ads as you would expect. I get to see ads from Shell, Elf, Mobil (just the big multinationals). I know that there are smaller contracting firms out there and often wonder why they hardly advertise.
I guess i'd have to put my ears closer to the ground!
Thanks!
CareerRe: Chemical & Process Engineers Forum by Allwell(m): 8:01am On Aug 10, 2010
@ Ajanlekoko
What about the lack of experience part? Doesn't it count?
I am aware that there are tons of people with good first degrees and post graduate degrees, what gives you the competitive edge? Moreover most of the oil servicing firms hardly advertise on the dailies so how do we get to hear of openings?
Sorry my questions seem much but i'd welcome your answers. Cheers!

I'm interested in the oil and gas sector and I believe it must be an exciting industry. What does it take to work in the sector? especially for a young Nigerian graduate, with no experience but quick to learn?
SportsRe: Lagerback's Fate: Should He Be Sacked Too? by Allwell(m): 1:16pm On Jun 18, 2010
I don't think you guys understand what's going on in that team. I think there's something fishy going on there. I have some questions to ask:

1. Why wasn't Yakubu substituted when it was obvious that he was unfit for the match? Or did the power brokers gave instructions that he must not be replaced in the match? I observed that Amodu hardly substituted the striker in any match.

2. Why Osaze replaced with a striker (Obasi) at half time when we know that Osas was not tired or injured? Did Osaze refuse to play in the second half of the game? If osaze was to be replaced don't you think it would have been with a defender and not a striker (obasi)

#3 What was Martins doing on that bench?

4. Was the team selected for the coach or did the coach select the team?

Pls no racism and don't crucify the coach!
Christianity EtcRe: Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo Speaks On T.b Joshua by Allwell(m): 1:36pm On Jun 16, 2010
I don't want to join issues and i respect Pastor Matthew a lot. But the bible account of John the Baptist said John was filled with the Holy Spirit from his mother's womb. John was also in the wilderness until the days of His showing. He didn't need to have a pharisee training or something. I think Pastor T.B. should be left alone and God's work should move forward.

PoliticsRe: Nigerians Should Stop Moaning And Roll Up Their Sleeves by Allwell(m): 6:53pm On Nov 01, 2009
Number 2- Nigerians in naija are 70% entrepreneurs who dont pay their DAMN taxes. Every time I hear people complaining about paying taxes, it makes me sick. Its like a whole bunch of illiterate fools not knowing TAXES and high ones at that, are needed for electricity, clean water, Education, public things. Some people automatically think paying tax is Govt 419, so they dont pay, if everyone thinks like this then there is no reason to complain (you make your bed you lie in.) But i dont blame them, one has to travel outside Nigeria to a developed country to actually know the IMPORTANCE OF TAX if not looted.
sjeezy8, please don't make me laugh. Most people in Nigeria do pay their tax. Please do make your survey and you get the truth of the matter. Go to shops and you will see tax receipts on the wall and all that.

It's my opinion that people are even double taxed.

By the way all those money collected in the days of toll gates I think we should ask questions on what happened to it cos its OUR MONEY for crying out loud!!!
PoliticsRe: Nigerians Should Stop Moaning And Roll Up Their Sleeves by Allwell(m): 6:27pm On Nov 01, 2009
My Dear Poster,

Don't be rude to your fellow Nigerians trying to leave this country, calling them fools. Have you ever heard of the word called ENABLING ENVIRONMENT?

You should not be sentimental on certain issues. There are so many factors against one staying in this country

1. The snail-like government (not being rude though, just a fact)

2. Electricity ( we are planning for 6000MW, Johannesburg produces more than that!)

3. Security ( Have you ever been kidnapped or witnessed a live robbery incident?)

4. Poor road network ( These are death traps. There is one along Aba-PH expressway. I think it's big enough to be a well)

SOLUTION: A peaceful revolution and freedom from our present day colonialists- the political class. This revolution must be led by the technocrats who i believe have a lot to offer.
