dammymye: Thanks dearie! I just got back home now. Thank God for me ooooo. My visa has been aproved! I 'm sooo happy right now.CONGRATULATIONS O! |
widelink: Congrats bro, I am going to New Jersey which is very close. How about the cheapest Airline to NJ?Am not sure about NJ. But the fact is that flight ticket gets more expensive as the flight date closes by. I would be flying Royal Air Maroc to NY when am ready because of their minimal stop over hours; Just 2 to 3hrs. |
VISAS PICKED UP......NEW YORK, HERE I COME. WHO ELSE IS GOING TO NEW YORK? |
Gentiger: Don't waste your precious time tracking your passport status online. Go a day after the scheduled pickup day and get your visa. The passport/visa status can actually be tracked. We were scheduled for pick up tomorrow but I tracked our passports very early this morning and it said they are ready for collection. I went there around 3pm and picked them up. My wife and I now have our visas in our hands. If you are in Nigeria, you can track your passport or status of your visa by sending an email to support-nigeria@ustraveldocs.com using your passport number as the subject and as body f the email. Do not include any other information. |
dammymye: Hello my brothers & sisters in the house, my interveiw is friday morning. I need you all to pray earnestly for me. Thanks to you all. Stay blessed house!!! One love! The visa is yours. May you find favor in the eyes of whichever CO that is going to interview you. Go and come back with a success story. |
hilaryddrunk: congratulations my brother.Thank God for you and your family. My wife read food tech too and she is the applicant oo. pls we would'nt mind to use your experience as a case study and learn from there@hilaryddrunk, tell your wife to read more about her course. She must be prepare to tell the CO why she did the course. She will definately b asked to explain what food tech is all about. Also, questions such as food processing and preservation might be asked. She should try as much as possible to give examples as she explain. More questions will be asked from her explanation because food tech is not the type of course they encounter all the time. And remember to tell her not to stop explaining until the CO ask the next question. She should also revise on her O`level subjects in case she is going to be interviewed at window 16. The CO at window 16 is very particular about O`level. She`s got nothing to worry about if all documents are intact and she is able to answer the questions asked convincingly. Don`t forget to pray very hard. |
Hi everyone, To the glory of the Lord and the prayer of you all, I and my wife had a successful interview some hours ago. The CO at window 13 is indeed an angel! Without much ado, I will just go straight to the interview experience proper. But mind you, my wife was the principal applicant. She played as single before we married last year before the DV result. Co: good morning We: good morning ma CO: Please sign these forms We: Okay ma - we signed the forms CO: Am going to take your fingers print We: Alright ma - ( We did the fingers print) CO: Do you swear to say nothing but the truth? We: Absolutely yes CO: please go and have your sit while I interview your wife. Me: Alright ma. - (I had to stood a few distance away cos I already lose my sit) Co: what is the name of your sch? Wife: Blah blah blah CO: What course did you study? Wife: Food sci & tech CO: Why did you study food sci & tech Wife : Blah blah blah blah CO: What year did you finished? Wife : Blah blah blah blah - CO: Tell me about your course Wife: Blah blah blah CO: No. I don`t want defination. I want full explanation Wife: Blah blah blah blah- (explaining in details until she asked her to stop) CO: Tell me about food processing Wife: Blah blah blah blah CO: What are perishable food products? Wife : Blah blah blah blah CO: How can you preserve them? Wife : Blah blah blah blah - (citing terms and giving examples) Now the CO is typing. CO: When did you get married? Wife : Blah blah blah blah CO: Where, when and how did you meet your husband? Wife : Blah blah blah blah CO: When did he proposed? Wife : Blah blah blah blah CO: What does your husband do? Wife : Blah blah blah blah CO: Can you explain what type of business your husband do? Wife : Blah blah blah blah CO: How much does he earn? Wife : I really don`t know the exact amount CO: You mean you don`t know how much your husband earn? Wife: Yes, because he is not a salary earner. But we are living good. We are okay with what he earns. CO: Oh! yeah I can really see that. - ( at this stage the interview is becoming very interesting to her and what follows thereafter was more like a chit chat) CO: What type of wedding did you do? Wife : Blah blah blah blah CO: DO you have a very big wedding? Wife : Blah blah blah blah CO: Do you have wedding pictures? Wife : yes (my wife brought out our photo book and as she was flipping, the CO asked her to keep flipping. She was smiling, then asked wife to stop and pointed to someone in the picture) CO: Who is that in the picture? Wife : Blah blah blah blah CO: Do you have any courtship picture? Wife : Yes CO: Can I see? (At this stage she was very busy typing and staring into the computer. She did not bother to check the courtship pictures) She then asked my wife to call me. As I was approaching the window, she said to my wife - give me a minute I want to get some papers. Wife: Alright ma - Now I am standing beside my wife and she was whispering into my ear. Then the CO returned with two papers and gave our original documents back to us. CO: MR & MRS blah blah blah, congratulations your visas have been approved. Welcome to America. Go to the circled address to pick up your visas next week Fri. She then explained something to us about how to pay the USCIS Immigrant Fee but we werent really paying attention because we were very excited. My wife was just smiling and saying thank you, thank you, thank you ma! The CO was just smiling...... My wife did a very good job and I am very proud of her. The only question I was asked was "Did you swear to say nothing but the truth" Which I answered "Absolutely yes" Lessons: * Be prayerful * Prepare very hard * When academic question is asked, don`t give definations but explanation and keep explaining until the CO ask you to stop. * Speak out loud and look straight into the CO`s eyes. * If married, say things the way they are. Don`t fabricate. * Make sure you are able to defend whatever qualification you are claiming. * Another thing I observed from other interview experiences is that, the CO usually start their academic questions from your highest level of education and if you are able to explain very well, they will not bother to ask you questions from your SSCE. Thank you and God bless you all. |

Why are you guys using paracetamol for another man`s headache? Why can`t you just let Adufesco be! Afterall, nobody helped him when he solicited for help here few weeks ago. Now that he had met his "lost but found uncle" who is mega rich, I think all we need is to congratulate and wish him a safety journey to Georgia to live his dream........ |
Adufesco: Yeah na so, dont try to tear dat seal one cos if u do, they will query u at US Embassy, dat extra vaccine sheet is ur property, i think they gave only dose who did dere medical in VI Hospital, Wish u success as u r moving forward! Cheers! We did our medicals at the hospital in IKOYI and we were given the vaccination record sheet seperately the day I went there to pick up our result. I think you will be given the vaccination record sheet only if you were immunized. They gave my wife just a shot because she is pregnant - TETANUS TOXIOD vaccine and me 3 shots - TETANUS TOXIOD, MMR (measles, mumps, & rubella)and VARICELLA vaccine. The vaccination record sheet is to show what and what immunization you`ve had. |

omonanoint: Good day all, Pls I want to confirm if my 2NL letter will be sent to my E mail? Because KCC shedule my interview for Feb but no specific date, if I can go for my medicals nd Police report now or I shd still wait for the 2NL 1st. Ur reply will be appreciated. That is vry unusual. If you have been truely scheduled for an interview in Feb, you will defintely have a specific date and time for the interview. You will get exactly the following message in your email from KCC when your 2NL is ready: You have received this email notification to inform you that you have updates available at http: //www.dvlottery.state.gov/ESC. Please log in using your confirmation number from your original application to complete further processing. |
justwise: I don't think that there is any lottery related question that can not be discussed here, intimacy related or not, the system will censor any rude/inappropriate word, yes you are probably right that contacts have been exchanged here previous and that is purely because i did not see it.I am aware of the private messaging system, but some of us do not know how to use it. |
justwise: Questions about interview can be asked openly here for others in need to benefit as well, there is no need going offline with it, this thread will not get to 400 plus pages if everybody do what you are about to do.@ Justwise, I understand. But sometimes personal interview questions, especially that which have to do with couples intimacy, can not be discussed in an open forum like this. Contacts have been exchanged several times in this thread in the past and yet it got to over 400 pages. Exchange of email addresses will not deter the growth of this particular thread nor that of the entire NairaLand Forum...... Actually I am not tryin to push it but only trying to let you know what I think about exchange of email addresses and the growth of this thread..... |
@Imcool, how have you been? Please drop your email address here for me sometimes. I need to ask you some real personal questions about your interview. My case similar is to yours and I and my wife have been scheduled for interview in Feb. |
faithman2020: hello fellows,I'm new to the forum. kindly advise me.I guess I filled wrong DoB for my spouse when 4 d e-dv lottery. though I sent the real DoB to Kcc do I need to still inform them before my interview.Buddys, my wife is currently pregnant and from calculations, with d crawling in this bulletin her delivery is likely toIf your wife delivers before your interview, all you need to do is to get an international passport for the baby (I am not very sure about the min age requirement for application of an international passort) and fill the DS-230 as well pay for the baby`s visa too at on your interview day. Dont forget take pictures of the child`s naming ceremony or dedication along wth you to the interview. |
House please I need your help. I finished my National Diploma in August last year and I filled it as the highest level of education completed in the DS-230 form sent to KCC. Now interview have been schedule but I have not gotten my ND certifcate. Plus I have a reference meaning that my certificate will not be ready anytime soon. And I have been schedule for interview already. ............ Please house, what can I do or what should I get to show to the CO on the day of my interview? Do you think a letter of introduction or any documemt from my school will suffice? |
emybaby2: Hurray, i've been given my visa today, am so happy. I woke up early and arrived the place and we were checked in by 6:30am. Passed through the security check and got in. We did the documentation i.e gave my original and photocopied documents. I forgot to include 2 photocopied marriage certificate rather it was one and they wrote it down in my form that one certificate is out. That was the only error i made though i was nervous. Then we waited again. When it was time for the interview, window 16 who is a white lady was so tough with so much drilling of people with questions. The first couple for DV there were rejected by her. Up to 5 people went and she either refer them for the next day or told them that they have failed. A particular woman with a family of 5 children and her husband were denied their DV visa. What i come to know is that if you can't answer or defend your education and also know dates of birth, time you went to school etc, then there will be problems. The woman in window 13 was so nice and was handing down visas like water only denied one man. Who wasn't a DV applicant.Congratulations to you and your husband... May the God of mercy grant favour in the eyes of the CO when its time. |
