Manchester City have won the 2023 UEFA Super Cup, defeating Sevilla 5-4 on penalties after the sides had fought out a 1-1 draw in Piraeus, Athens. A second half strike from Cole Palmer cancelled out Youssef En-Nesryi’s first half opener for the Spaniards to set up the spot kick shoot-out. And, after five successful penalties for City, a miss by Sevilla's Nemanja Gudelj secured the prestigious prize for Pep Guardiola’s side after a clash played out at the Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium, home of Greek side Olympiakos. It was our first appearance in the tournament, which pits the winners of the UEFA Champions League against the reigning Europa League champions. And, following on from last season’s historic Treble success of Champions League, Premier League and FA Cup, it further adds to what has been a glorious period of success under Guardiola in a era unparalleled in the Club’s proud 129-year history. The Catalan has now overseen 15 major trophies since taking charge at the Club in the summer of 2016. The remarkable collection comprises five Premier League titles, two FA Cups, four League Cups, one Champions League, two Community Shields and now the UEFA Super Cup. City also have the opportunity to further add to our haul of silverware before 2023 is out. In December we will be travelling to Saudi Arabia to take part in the FIFA Club World Cup for the first time. I’m a one-woman-man…. Can’t even handle 2 relationships, e no fit balance. One party go dey enjoy me, while the later go complain taya. That said, I think polygamy is a different ball game, at least make sure the second wife is about 7-10 years younger than the first wife. The developments at Inter Miami should serve as an insight to the ridiculous levels of some of the worlds best. From the worst team in America, to potentially the best team in the continent, and turnover time was practically non-existent. All it took was Messi, Busi, & Alba in their mid/late 30s. Tbh, I never knew Inter Miami will beat Union, cos they’re one of the best team in the MLS, oh boy as I dey watch the match e come be like friendly. They reduced Philly to dust. Philadelphia Union is best team of MLS from a decade & was also a best team of tournament, have conceded only 4 goals in leagues cup, lost only 1 home game in last 35 matches & then Leo Messi magic happened they have already conceded 3 goals at the HT, another reason why he's the GOAT!
